Rudest Encounter Ever Experienced

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- I called in to speak with a representative about an old collections account that was sold to them. I received an email from Credit Karma letting me know my score was affected due to this new account with an agency I had not seen. I simply wanted to call and ensure everything was legit and maybe get some information regarding the account. The representative I spoke with, Oscar, was the absolute rudest person I have ever spoken to. He laughed at me when I said I didn't want to pay my balance.

After cutting me off several times and me finally saying "Do not cut me off again!" he did it again, and had the nerve to say to me, "If you don't want to pay your balance then why are you calling in?" I told him he would know the reason I was calling in if he didn't continue to cut me off and told him not to ** cut me off again. He hung up on me, of course. I called back to speak with a manager, Steve. No answer and no call back, as of yet.

LAS VEGAS, CALIFORNIA -- I received a letter trying to collect money for a visit to a clinic I didn't make. The guy who was on the line was awfully rude said why was I trying to dispute the balance. And started screaming at me. He hung up several times and whenever I tried calling he would pick up and said to stop calling. And kept hanging up. When I called for a 4th time he said he was done with me and transferred my call to a "manager". Of course no answer and no call back so far.

LAS VEGAS, OREGON -- I owed a big balance of medical and they knocked off quite a bit for payment to close my collections account to 0 balance. I dealt with Crystal and she was very helpful, very nice and very prompt in helping me with my case. GRANT & WEBER also reported to my credit bureau extremely fast and the account was completely gone from my credit report within a week of settlement.

Grant & Weber RipOff collection company totally rude and dishonest They treat you like dirt they cannot be trusted in Calabasas CA

CALABASAS, CALIFORNIA -- To all, I experienced awful customer service from a company called “Grant & Weber”. This is a collections agency and boy talk about rude, these people don't have any personality at all. They have interpersonal skills to act sharks over the phone and they love to call back and start a harassment campaign. If you have an issue with them, tell them you are monitoring their calls and if you have a debt, go to merchant where the debt came from even if you have an issue with that company, report to them how bad Grant & Weber was with you, tell them you don't trust them.

If you owe something, make a small payment and dispute the debt but not with them, with the merchant but please dispute your debt with the merchant. All Grant & Weber wants is their commission, they will do anything for money in their pockets. They use your credit report as a weapon and they will mention your credit report in the conversion. Beware of them threatening you about your credit report and what they will do with it. Report them to the Federal Trade Commission and also on the do not call list with the Federal Communication Commission.

If Grant & Weber has your account, make payments to the merchant instead, however if there is a settlement offer, get it in writing and if you pay, pay with a money order and sent it certified mail only. Giving your Visa number or check number over the phone, they can take more than disputed out of it. Don't trust Grant & Weber as these people are very hard to deal with. They want your banking routing number, this is a trap, beware of this method.

Also your home address, they will use tactics to get their money, so always use a PO Box and money order, with all collection agencies and always certify your mail when sending your money. You need to document everything; these people will call people searching for money or your location information. If you write to them, do expect any written correspondence, they do not write back. They do not tell you their policies either, they will tell you, you have no business knowing about their policies is what you're hear from them. The more you ask the ruder they get with you.

I found this collection agency on the bad customer service list and reports about them online. If you have an issue with this company please notify the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. They use bad business practices and no one should have to deal with agencies like this.

Bad Collections Agency
By -

CALABASAS, CALIFORNIA -- To start, there was nothing positive about my experience with this company. I have never been to collections before so I didn't know how it all worked. So I called up my representative and informed him that this was my first time dealing with a collections agency and asked him what I was supposed to do. He told me he could give me a 30-day extension so that I could figure it out!! yeah, he was expecting me to figure it out on my own!

I was still unsure what bill they were even talking about so I made some phone calls to the original billing company and to my insurance company BlueShield. I found out that BlueShield had never been billed to begin with. So, I called back my representative at Grant and Weber to ask him how to get BlueShield to pay for the bill and how to get the bill to them. He then told me that he could send me the information that he had so that I could send it to them MYSELF. So what do I do? I went downtown and paid $7.00 to fax BlueShield the information that my representative had mailed me. He assured me that he send enough information for BlueShield to pay for the bill.

I then called him back later that day and asked how soon BlueShield would pay for the bill because my deadline was in a few days. He answered by saying that it would take them a couple of months to process. Following that, I asked, "So does that mean I have to pay the FULL AMOUNT before the end of my extension so that it won't go against my credit?" Because I was worried about a ding going on my credit for not paying the bill right then. And he then told me, "YES." Then I asked, "what if I don't have any money?" and he replied, "well then you will get a mark on your credit."

So, even though my insurance company was willing to pay for the whole bill I ended up paying for it because Grant and Weber didn't even send me the right/enough information to send to BlueShield. They should have sent me an itemized bill which I now know.

He would not help me any of the times I called and asked for help. The only things he would say was YES or NO when I asked him a question. Had I not asked any questions he would not even said anything to me. As of now, I am still trying to get this all figured out. I am very upset with this company and would like to take them to court over it. they are scumbags! Also I have tried to get a hold of a supervisor but they refuse to return my calls.

CALABASAS, CALIFORNIA -- I recently have been trying to clean up my credit and when I had my credit report ran, I see 5 different accounts on my credit from Grant & Weber, when I called to talk to them about that these were pertaining to, they told me doctors' bills. Apparently when I was living in California, my Health Insurance did not pay the complete bill and there were these small bills of 81.00 and 66.05 bills outstanding. I moved to Wisconsin, after a bad situation, and never once received a bill.

I am just not getting bills because I disputed these on my credit report not knowing what they were, come to find out they have attached over 200.00 in interest onto my bills!! They are not willing to work with me on getting this cleaned up!! They did not even have my correct address on file. Hence my not receiving these bills!! This woman was very rude and not at all helpful!! How can they do this, I am willing to pay my bill, I just do not think I have to pay interest on something I did not even know about!!!

Collection scam

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -- I'm a senior citizen living on SS. I made the mistake of getting sick at Chandler AZ. I had some test and a hospital procedure which cost around $10,000 which I paid off through Grant & Weber Arizona. I got a letter saying paid in full. What I didn't know was that there was another bill for $90.00 that they hid from me and didn't contact me on until the interest had the balance of over $1,100.00. They would not tell me what the $90.00 bill was for. I don't know how many more of these bills they have hidden getting interest that I won't know until they decide to tell me. How can I be sure that this is my last bill???

Do not get sick in Chandler AZ. The Hospital double billed me. My insurance wouldn't pay because of the double billing. So this was out of my own pocket. Grant and the hospital in Chandler are taking advantage of senior citizens that come to visit AZ. What can I do to stop this RIP-OFF?

Grant & Weber are the worst collection agency to deal with!

THOUSAND OAKS, CALIFORNIA -- Grant & Weber are bottom dwellers. They made me pay a double payment on a doctor bill that they had acquired. My doctor said they never sent the account to collections and they don't know how Grant & Weber got my account. I ended up taking the doctor to small claims court for the double payment and I won the case and got most of my overpayment back.

Now, the exact thing is happening again. Once Grant & Weber acquire your social security number they pull everything they can on you and they will give you no information on the actual bill in question when you request it. They just want a payment over the phone and the ding DOES NOT come off your credit report! I am calling the BBB today! I'd like to start a class action lawsuit to make them accountable.

Don't Trust This Collection Agency

RANCHO CORDOVA, CALIFORNIA -- I have been trying to pay off a collection account that should have been billed to my medical insurance company, however, I contacted them in 11-06 and they always stated that either their computers were down or they couldn't find my acct. I have called several times since and have gone through 3 different workers, the last one I spoke with tried to almost double the amount owed.

Well, the laughs on them, I am contacting the original creditor about this matter and they told me once before not to worry about them it is due to fall off my credit soon anyway. Do not trust this company, they always have excuses and now they are trying to double my bill. Beware.
