Staying at the HIE in Harrison, AR for the night. Stayed here before with no problems. Room AC was out...no problem, switched and upgraded me right away.

Snack machine out of change, wouldn't take $$..got change, crackers didn't drop. Went to front desk, got money back with no problems. Casey and Hannah did a great job with someone (me) having a rough day.
I am writing to advise that our stay at Holiday Inn Cleveland-Elyria/Lorain 8/6 thru 8/9 was ridiculous and inconvenient. After driving 8 hours from Pennsylvania, our daughters' room wasn't even ready until well after 4:00 P.M. We were there for a wedding the next day.

The staff was unprepared, overwhelmed and less than friendly.
The ice machines on some floors didn't work and we had to travel floor to floor to find one that did.
The elevators were in poor working order and we were stuck between floors twice (once in our nice wedding clothing we had to crawl over the floor once the door did open).
The air conditioner in our room was so noisy and clanging that we couldn't get a good night's sleep.
The building itself was unkempt and worn-looking.
We were totally disappointed with this hotel. We seek out Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express because we thought it carried goodwill and experience, we will certainly think carefully the next time we travel.
I would like to let someone of Authority or Title know that we had a wedding party book rooms May 20, 21, & 22 at the Holiday Inn Express in Athens, Texas. Party was flying in from 5 states and from Houston and Dallas, Texas areas. Everything went just perfect due to the Manager of that hotel ( Cecilia (if memory services me right) The prior Manager, Carroll, had goofed things up and the lady just calmly took over and made the event just perfect. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was very good, the employees were all most courteous and helpful to everyone. Most of the guests do frequent the more premium hotels, but all were very impressed with this particular Holiday Inn. The baked cookies were most loved by the younger guests.

So, Mr. or Mrs. Holiday Inn, if you do care what your guests have to say, I suggest you have someone in your plush office, pick up the phone and call the Athens Holiday Inn and tell that wonderful woman that she did receive a grand compliment, she did make your business look very good to a very influential and successful group of people.
We will definitely stay at your business when we return to Athens.
Thank you very much !!
FRISCO, COLORADO -- I checked into the Holiday Inn in Frisco Colorado, I knew that there was construction going on. I was prepared for some inconvience, however, I was not prepared for the air conditioner to go off every hour in the middle of the night. We constantly had to get up and reset it. Also the carpet was not vacuumed well at all. There was hair in the floor in the bathroom and it wasn't mine. I tried to get online because I have an internet class, however there network was down. I called the lobby but the phone rang so many times I just gave up. I would have gotten better service at Motel 6!2 Replies - Latest reply on 06/03/2010Add reply

BREMEN, GEORGIA -- I had a problem with the Holiday Inn Express in Bremen GA and the National Customer Service department would not help me. I won't go into excruciating detail here but I made a reservation for a family member after logging into my Holiday Inn PRIORITY CLUB account. The Bremen GA H. I.E. would not honor the reservation because I wasn't there. This is the first time that has EVER happened in several years and many stays for family members that I've done that way. I tried calling the Bremen GA H. I.E. front desk at the number listed online. No answer and the ringing finally stopped. This happened FIVE TIMES. So I called the Toll Free number for Holiday Inn. For starters, I am SICK AND TIRED of American customers being handed over to someone in another country who can barely speak English and can't deal with anything other than read from their scripted responses. I was finally transferred to an American (I think) who sounded as if she was on drugs. She was hardly any better and basically told me that because the hotels are franchises, the individual hotels can basically make any damned rule they want. I've been a Priority Club member since 2003 and have 5 employees who are members and we frequently travel on business and have always used Holiday Inn. I've directed my staff to find a new chain now. 2 Replies - Latest reply on 05/05/2010Add reply

SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA -- I'm in Sioux Falls, SD. wed 1/6/2010. It's been snowing for almost 24 hrs. It's around 5pm, I called 3 places for food delivery. Two of them didn't answer, the other won't deliver unless it stop snowing. I asked the clerk for 2 bagels very nicely, she reply that there are one place open, I should called them. I went to the sales Mgr's office thinking that's her job, guess satisfaction. I ask if she was the GM you think she would ask if she could help with anything. she said no while on the phone with her friend, and got up then closed the door. That was so odd. Everyone was so lazy. Or maybe because I'm in the midwest in the middle of nowhere. The fact is other staff from previous day were very kind. Typically when staff behave like that is because they know that there won't be any retribution for their actions. Probably just sit with GM in the office and have a good laugh about it.

After our children broke out in a sunburn type rash over their bodies took chlorine level reading and closed pool never received any compensation as to the injuries to the children and also never received any for paying top dollar for a pool that we couldn't use. Could have stayed next door for 100 dollars a night cheaper. Made many excuses and run around Absolutly the rudest group at the front desk and even worse in the management level. Showed no consideration toward our children that looked like lobsters from what appears to be an over chlorinated pool. RECEIVED NO COMPENSATION GO TO ANOTHER HOTEL NOT THIS ONE Wouldn't even call paramedics as to hotel policy ???????? Sorry it was as red as a sunburn on their faces but rash on body.3 Replies - Latest reply on 12/08/2009Add reply

He fraudulently charged my credit card for a room I did not authorize or purchase, and when I called him to ask for a credit back to my card, he said he would check the video tapes and get back to me and proceeded to accuse me of trying to get a free room.
When I logged a complaint at www.ichotels.com who is the parent company, they referred me back to the hotel manager! What a run around. I have been forced to protest the charge with my credit card company and can guarantee you I will NEVER stay in an Intercontinental Hotels Group flag which includes Intercontinental Hotel, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza Hotels, Hotel Indigo, Staybridge Suites, and Candlewood Suites.
There are just too many hotel choices out there to deal with fraud and bad customer service.
