DAVENPORT, FLORIDA -- Several mistakes have been made by the salesman and pool crew of Holland Pools of Longwood Fl. The elevation was to have a step down because it is attached to a Florida room that was built UP 6 inches even with the living room and made with "Vinyl" walls that are not made to hold back water. Next they misread the diagram and placed the DRAIN in an L shape that was the child fence. The deck is 56 feet long and is now up to the threshold without protection from water as well as over 20 feet without direct protection to the building. Seems there isn't a CODE for this but the county building dept and a contractor all agree it is a bad job. The salesman & crew have denied that I gave them the lower specs and the pool company owner refuses to fix it unless I pay for a commercial drain from end to end to protect us during hurricanes or pool over flow. The County Licensing Investigator contacted them that he thought it was a bad job and will eventually flood the room but they refuse.
My biggest problem is that there isn't a place on the contract for this very important detail and because of that I am having to fight harder to right this.
