302 A WEST 12TH ST #276, NEW YORK -- I thought I was getting a sample. There were two jars and a toner. I did not see any charges for the "samples." I did not look on my credit card until today and I saw the charge for 74.95. I called the other company Radiolabs which I got connected to through Hydroxatone and saw their charges too. I called the credit card company and told them the problem that I did not authorize these products except for an eyelash product. I ended up on complaint lines where both of the products are on: Ripoff Report and 3Cents Worth.com and there are so many people saying the same thing. They are scammers and one is reporting one of them to the Attorney General in their New Jersey. I suggest the same thing and I am going to have the AG in Arizona look at these websites and see all the complaints. I closed my credit card and when they charge the second charge it will not go through and it can go on my credit reports and I am going to write a letter to all three with copies of these complaints attached to contest the charge from Urban Nutrition that own Hydroxatone. I tried to return the second one and was told it was over 30days even though they are now charging me for the second one past the 30 days which I didn't know they had to be sent back. You cannot return the product no matter what.

As you now know, never give out your credit card number or bank account number to an unknown Internet company for a "Free Trial" or "Samples". Also consider getting a similar product at your local drug store that does the same thing for a lot less.

Free means free, and they should not be asking you for your credit card information. If a company wants you to pay for shipping and handling. tell them send it COD. They get your credit card number, they enroll you in automatic delivery.

I've been hearing about this for at least a year now. I'm starting to think that this is all one company.
(Acai burn, hydroxatone, Sparkle Bright & about 14 other products.)

I agree with Skye, don't give out credit card info for "free" products. Be careful shopping online. (ESPECIALLY IF YOU WILL BE RUBBING THE PRODUCT INTO YOUR EYES, SKIN OR OTHERWISE INGESTING IT!!!)

I've read postings online that seem to state that this company/ies aren't persueable, as they are based in foreign countries. I've read that banks somehow allow them to still draw funds after complaints. You might want to just cancel the credit card that they have the info for. If the other posters are to be believed,(and some of this stuff seems to be a bit "out there")
you aren't free of trouble yet.

I don't know if this is the same but there is body cream company that advertises that they are celebrating the millionth sale of their product and if you call within the next 24 hours, you will get a free container.
fortunately I have no need for the product!

Complete scam, all these beauty products are the same it seems.....this company i think changes names when people catch on then comes out with a new product...beware if you have a risk free trial, because its not really a free trial....in the terms, they do list that they wont refund opened bottles for some reason....so its not really a trial at all.

Read the terms and conditions before agreeing to anything. By accepting the "samples" you unknowingly agreed to scheduled future shipments of products. The future shipment and cancellation policy is spelled out in the terms. The company counts on people not reading it or disputing charges.

HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA -- I called to cancel before my month was up for the free hydroxatone and radialabs to send return label and never received it. Another shipment of radialab came and I left it in the mailbox. I do not want either of these products and I had better not be charged for them or I will contact Better Business Bureau.

That is how they sucker you in with free product and just pay shipping. Very unhappy customer.

I'm not sure what leaving it in your mailbox is going to do. If the product is in your mailbox, you have already been charged for it. This company has a reputation of sending more product before anyone has time to cancel and they make it difficult to get a refund. Good luck.

put "RETURN TO SENDER" on the box so at least the mail person will take out OUT of your box. Check your statements, and if they do charge you, dispute it.

Just like Chuhbaca says, get a tracking number before returning. This company is infamous for claiming they never received returned items (read the other reviews). If it was me I would also alert my cc company or bank as well. I'm basing my opinion solely on other peoples reviews and not my own experience, but it seems like its very hard to get a refund. Others have also reported that this co will continue to charge you even after you send the items back. Good luck.

If they do charge you and you used your bank, you may have to open a new bank account in order for them to stop billing you. NEVER use a bank account. If you used a credit card, then you pry will have better luck disputing it. Sites like this sucker off our naiveness. Best things in life are free, but if you have to pay a trial for them, then they aren't free at all.

Hydroxatone a RIP OFF!

JERSEY CITY,, NEW JERSEY -- I ordered this prodoct and first of all nothing is a free 30 day trial. Got not one but 2 jars charged my card 139.90 and at the end of the 30 day went through heck trying to give back the second jar and they would not take it. In the end I found out I am allergic to the stuff and between the dr visit and prescription eye drops it cost me another 130.00. Bad product and company to deal with. BEWARE! It is not what they say it is and it certainly is not a magic cream.

Live with the wrinkles, ya just get old and that happens.
I don't mind getting old it's putting yourself together (eyes on, teeth in etc) in the morning and taking it apart at night that gets to me.

Worst product I have ever tried. You are right about the customer service they are horrible. They kept sending me products and billing my credit card that I had used on my original order. It was only after I cancel that credit card that it all stopped. Plus I was not about to pay shipping for products I had called and asked them to stop sending. So I send it back and guessing they pay the shipment. I dont know if they got it or not and frankly dont care.
I also believe that that most folks they have listed saying they swear by hydroxatone,likely were paid by them or work for them. Last but not least save your money for I bet most of the cover the counter problems work far better.

These folks are absolutely pulling a scam. This product does not work and it burned my eyes terribly. I called within the 30-day free trial period and cancelled my membership. A few days later, I checked my bank account and they illegally debited my account for $69.95. I contacted them via email and they told me that they have cancelled my account, but they never said anything about returning my money. So, I assumed that since my account was cancelled, that meant they would credit my money back to my account. NOT!!! I sent them a another email and asked them when will my money be credited back to my account and they said when I return the products they will do it then. I am so irate at this time, I decide to call. I am then told that even if I returned the products, I will not get my money back because it was past the 30-day period already?!#% Talk about mixed messages!! This company is full of #%*^!!! Never did they say anything when I placed the order about returning the product within 30-days and then I will get my money back. A matter of fact I was told if I were not satisfied, I could keep the products - Free of Charge! There was a return policy in the box, but how often does a person read the packaging slip?? I didn't until they brought it to my attention just today. But they told me nothing of the sort when I first placed the order. That's where they get you!!

Think Twice Before Buying

Do not purchase from this company if you think you may want your 30 day money back guarantee. The company makes this near to impossible. I returned the product before the due date with confirmation in July and have been phoning, writing and getting no where. I am promised a refund since 8/2/08. None has been received as of 11/05/08. I made the mistake filing a dispute with the credit card company they say that they will not issue a refund because the Hydrol company sent me a letter stating they would issue a store credit. I did not want the store credit and when tried to use it was told that because this was in dispute they would not honor it. I am now out the $69.95 plus shipping in and out.

I believe the goal of the company is misrepresentation and ripping off the customer.

I would go back to your credit card company and update them on what has happened. You paid and now have no refund and no product, they should be able to take care of you.

I don't trust ANY company that sells pills online or through print, TV, or radio ads, whether it's diet pills, colon cleanse pills, erection pills, or otherwise. Once they get your credit card number, you're suckered. That's how they make their money...by not selling the products at drugstores or other retailers, and overcharging. They also keep charging your card monthly, and cancelling is a pain in the posterior, since you may end up talking to someone from India. Besides, many of these pills don't work. Cutting back on fats and carbs, as well as exercise, will cause you to lose weight better than any pill.

I know that pretty much any medical item purchased online or via "special offers" tends to be a ripoff. I saw "Hydroxatone" but confused it with "Hydroxycut", which is a diet pill that has resulted in a lot of complaints.

BIDDEFORD, MAINE -- If ANY of you people took the 30 seconds it takes to READ the "terms and conditions" box that YOU HAVE TO check and accept to move on with the order THEN 90% of these complaints would go away!!!!!

You all get mad at HYDROXATONE when you really should be mad at yourself for not understanding what you got yourself into. The terms CLEARLY state that you will be billed for the products if you don't cancel and return within the first 30 days... NOT HYDROXATONES FAULT that you didn't do that. ALSO it states that YOU WILL BE ON AN AUTOSHIP PROGRAM and get product every 2 months UNLESS YOU CANCEL.. It is not anyone at HYdroxatones fault that YOU didn't take the time to read these terms... BUT YOU AGREED to them by checking that box.

To put it a different way if you have to put in your credit card number for a "free" sample it is NOT free, so look at the terms and conditions before you click the okay button.

I get a lot of free samples and magazines but if I see a CC number needed I click off of the site, because NOTHING FREE requires a CC.

The best idea is to avoid purchasing the product. You can find similar beauty creams at your local drug store that work just as well or better for a fraction of what this stuff costs.

Hhm, I did take the 30 seconds and I did return and cancel. However, I was still charged an additional 4 times. Maybe Hydroxatone needs to take the 30 seconds to credit the returns and cancel accounts?

It's not a FREE trial...its advertised as RISK FREE..meaning there is no risk to try the product for the first 30 days..

Signed up used product and read that it was auto order, but cancelled the auto as soon as I received the shipment. I would have returned within the 30 days what I didn't use but this product works!!!! I saved my second jar for my summer vacation and again I noticed visible difference in lines and wrinkles within 2 weeks. Now I am ordering again, but from other source because it's cheaper.

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY -- Through another website, I decided to take advantage of the $2.00 trial offer for the Hydrolyze Advanced Under Eye Formula. Like so many others, I expected a small bit to try with the understanding that I could order more if I was satisfied. Instead of a small bit, I received 2 full jars of the stuff. I immediately canceled my subscription via email and received a confirmation that my subscription had indeed been canceled. However, after the 30 days, a charge for $69.95 showed up in my checking account. After calling customer service, I was told that even though I had canceled my subscription, since I had not returned the product, I was charged for the two jars. With some exasperation, I argued that I had already paid $2.00 for the trial offer, that I didn't owe them anything else, that they were committing fraudulent advertising and if the charge was not refunded, I would be forced to take further action. Finally, the young man said they would refund my account within 72 hours. We'll see.

we had the exactly the same situation. they just want keep charging on my credit card. I told them I got none of their product and didn't authorize them to charge on my credit card. but these skunks insist to charge. Bastard. I doubt that they will give you a refund though. it seems that they are making money that way.

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY -- This is the worst company when it comes to customer service I have ever dealt with. I originally started to order the product I had seen advertised on TV but never finished placing my order. After I read the terms and agreement I exited out of the screen and never received a confirmation number. About a few weeks later I noticed I had been charged for shipping and I now have a package on my door step I never wanted. When trying to contact customer service It took 2 weeks for someone to return my call then I was told obviously I submitted the order other wise I wouldn't have it in my hands. I told them I don't believe I should have to pay for return shipping sense I never even received a confirmation number that I would be receiving anything. The response I was given was "well then do you want to pay the 139.00 instead", off course I don't what type of answer is that. I received the same attitude for the so called management also.

On 12/11/2010 I sent this product back priority mail, but I thought that included a tracking number, turns out, no you have to ask for it. Yes this is my mistake for not knowing. Its now 1/3/2011 and I have been charged 69.95 to my bank and Hydroxatone is saying they never received my return package and how do they know that I am not just telling them I returned it and didn't sense I didn't want to pay the return shipping in the first place.

Now the post office is doing a search for the "lost" package and I'm out 70 more dollars. I am a full time student I can't afford this type of bull sh*t and neither can any one else in this economy. I have field a fraudulent charge with my bank and thanks to Chase they said they will deal with them and credit my account. I have now had to cancel that card so this company can now longer steal my money.
Please don't let this happen to you

Go to http://www.state.nj.us/lps/ca/ocp.htm to report this to the New Jersey Office of Consumer Protection. They'd like to hear about it and I suspect they may be familiar with this company.

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY -- In late June I was also sucked in by the infomercials spewing promises on "how great and amazing Hydroxatone is and the results so incredible you just have to see it to believe it." I must admit, they were very convincing. However, my experience with the product as well as my experience with the customer service staff in trying to return the product was anything but amazing! In fact, both experiences left a lot to be desired! The face cream itself is heavy and feels goopy and greasy on the skin. I live in Oklahoma where the humidity and heat indices mirrors that of Houston Texas! So believe me when I say if you're in a humid climate, this product is not for you! If you have oily or combination skin or even infrequent breakouts (forget it if you have frequent breakouts) this product is not for you. The is nothing "light, or non-greasy" about this wrinkle cream!
While cancelling my order my customer service experience was horrible! The agent was rude, unfriendly, even downright hateful! I just ended up having to cancel my bank card! I was told that just because I cancelled the order (within my 30 day free trial period) was NO guarantee that additional funds WOULD NOT taken out of my account!!
If I was rating on a five star rating scale I'd have to give a half star, and that is only because the initial delivery of the product was prompt.
I hope this review saves someone the headache that I've just been through!

I order free Hydoxatone eye cream and never received a bill. I had to change my credit card but never heard from the company. Last week after
about a month after receiving the product I got a bill for $149.69. I tried
calling the company but was put on hold for 20 minutes and hung up. I would
never order a product for this amount. After reading comments I'm at a loss
as what to do.

File a dispute with your credit card company or bank. You're not going to get your money back from them. If it was truly a free trial, they wouldn't be asking for your credit card number... and it's never just to pay for shipping and handling.

But, the rub is... they take the money out right away with no intention of giving back. So, you're stuck with a product that doesn't work and out the $$$ for it.

bkk, there's no rub there! They charge you right away for S&H, but don't charge you the first installment until 30 days after you receive the product.

OP, this is a good lesson learned - almost nothing in life is free! Make sure you cancel any further shipments, since it says in the blurb bkk posted that they will automatically send you a new supply every 60 days.

Really? It's a 30-day risk free TRIAL. Which means you try it for 30 days if you don't like it within that 30 days you send it back and your not charged for anything other than the S&H. It says it right there in the explanation of the the trial. 2 people even posted it.
