"FREE" for $217.80

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY 07303-9908, NEW JERSEY -- I have read over two hundred comments on this product, only after my handicapped wife had ordered a 'FREE' sample for $7.95. What they fail to tell you is that the $7.95 is for shipping and handling, and that the extra $209.85 is for the "FREE" sample!! They don't send you a tiny tube of the stuff to try, they send you 3 full bottles, and that you will be charged $69.97 every month for 3 months afterward if you don't quit, or close your debit card and bank account. My poor wife's trial period ended 12/22/10 and on 12/23/10 the first payment of $69.97 was taken from my debit card.

Just so you don't happen to run out of this miracle cream, they keep sending it forever, if you don't stop it. The customer assistance people are young, ignorant and rude! All they know is what is written in front of them, and nothing about the product. DO NOT GET CAUGHT IN THIS SCAM!!

I ordered the Instant effect product off the TV because they said it was a study and I could try it for free. While on the phone with them I got sucked in for the Hydroxatone AM/PM, well what they neglected to tell me was they were going to charge my card $217.80. I have tried numerous times to contact someone in customer service to send this back but have been unsuccessful. So as a result of this I had to cancel out the credit card used and get a new one to ensure that they won't charge my card that astronomical fee that I NEVER AGREED TO because was never informed of. So long story short let's see how quick they try to contact me for their $$ or product back!!

Unsatisfactory Product and Service

I fell for their ad, even though I knew better. No such thing as a free trial with this company. I called to cancel product and was convinced to try for a few weeks longer. I cancelled on time but received another shipment. I was told to return the product, which I did but did not receive a tracking no. as the post office said since product was not opened, it could be returned to sender. When I was billed, I called customer service who said it was not received and they could not check it without a tracking no.

They would have to know it was received because they would have had to pay the postage. I now have been billed twice for the $69.95 in the same month. I do know I was negligent in not using their procedure for the return, but I feel they are not a reputable company. The product itself was very greasy and heavy and did nothing for me. In fact, after using it, I seemed to develop wrinkles. A lesson learned, stay away from TV offers such as this. They are hard to reach and then are very rude and inconsiderate.

Warning: If you ever find yourself speaking to any Marketing Company that is promoting this product and offers gifts and incentives that seem too good to be true, with a 100% refund policy and they want your credit card, hang up immediately. I discovered that my senior citizen mother was sweetly persuaded into getting involved with this product. Be warned it is about as beneficial as rubbing a $4.99 coating of Vaseline. Vaseline actually produces better benefits in my opinion. I am sure they have tons of printed literature as to why it works and why it is the best product on the market.

I returned everything and cancelled the transaction with my credit card company. The one thing you can be sure of if you get involved with this company is they will have every possible excuse for the marketing misrepresentations as they hire a 3rd party organization to promote the product and sucker new customers. Do your homework before ever giving your credit card and remember you do not have the same credit card protection with a debit card as you do with a REAL CREDIT CARD.

Hydroxatone rip off

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY -- Please beware of this scam. You think you are just paying $7.95 for shipping of this anti-eye bag cream to try, but then they automatically keep shipping this junk, that doesn't work, and charging your credit card. My mother fell prey to them, and had to change her credit card number. Many other people have been too. Just go online and see how many people have been scammed. So, obviously their marketing tactics are not the best for the consumer, and designed to confuse and trick their customers. I don't know how they can get away with it. I'm going to try to contact Clark Howard so more people can be warned. And as for the eye bags, I hear you're better off with Preparation H.

Watch Out!!

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY -- In late June I was also sucked in by the infomercials spewing promises on "how great and amazing Hydroxatone is and the results so incredible you just have to see it to believe it." I must admit, they were very convincing. However, my experience with the product as well as my experience with the customer service staff in trying to return the product was anything but amazing! In fact, both experiences left a lot to be desired!

The face cream itself is heavy and feels goopy and greasy on the skin. I live in Oklahoma where the humidity and heat indices mirrors that of Houston Texas! So believe me when I say if you're in a humid climate, this product is not for you! If you have oily or combination skin or even infrequent breakouts (forget it if you have frequent breakouts) this product is not for you. There is nothing "light, or non-greasy" about this wrinkle cream!

While cancelling my order my customer service experience was horrible! The agent was rude, unfriendly, even downright hateful! I just ended up having to cancel my bank card! I was told that just because I cancelled the order (within my 30 day free trial period) was NO guarantee that additional funds WOULD NOT taken out of my account!! If I was rating on a five-star rating scale I'd have to give a half star, and that is only because the initial delivery of the product was prompt. I hope this review saves someone the headache that I've just been through!

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY -- I sent for a "free" sample of Hydroxatone and was charged $70 for it! When I called the company to return the second delivery of it, which I did not request, and to get a credit for the over $150-charge to my credit card, I received lengthy directions: MAIL ONLY RETURN RECEIPT REQUEST WITH A LONG RETURN # ON THE ENVELOPE. THEN EMAIL THE TRACKING # TO THEM. I was told by ** that he was sending, as we were speaking, an email to me by which I would enter the "tracking #" from the mailing slip so they could follow the return.

They NEVER sent me an email. I did as I was instructed anyway and decided to email the number through their "customerservice@hydroxatone.com". That address was refused as no such address exists! I will be calling my credit card to explain what has happened and see if they can get in touch with the company. I was assured by ** that once I sent the tracking # my account would be cleared out and I would not have a balance. How do I do that, if they don't exist?

Another Hydroxatone Scam

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY -- I originally received merchandise delivered to my home from Hyrdoxatone that I never ordered. The order was placed with my name and address but an email address, a telephone number and a credit card number that doesn't belong to me. Since I received unordered merchandise in the mail, I have no obligation to pay for the merchandise or return it. However, Hydroxatone has sent me letters in the mail requesting payment for the last two weeks. In the most recent letter sent to my home, they threatened to place my account in "Delinquent Status" and contact a collection agency in order to receive payment.

I have already contacted the Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau and the state attorney general's office. Has anyone else had issues with this company and if so, how did you go about resolving your issues? Also, what other steps can I take to resolve this issue?

Scam/Ripoff

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY -- I saw the ad on TV offering a risk free trial for 30 days and only had to pay for shipping and handling. After those 30 days if you don't like it you can cancel at any time. So time came up. I decided to cancel. I called and when I told the operator that I wanted to cancel he told me that he was going to charge my account for the product that I already had. I told him, "Isn't the product free for 30 days"? He answered, "No it's free for 30 days then your account will be charged after 30 days if you don't return it to us within the 30 day period." So how can you use the product for 30 days for free and decide after that if you like it or not and send it back within the same time.

So to me this is a SCAM, because they say 30 days, but is not. You would have to use it for 2 weeks only which is not enough to see if you have results or not, and even if you don't like it they will still charge you if you don't want the product anymore. Also the operator that I spoke with was not very nice. He kept telling me that the product did work and that he was going to charge me.

If I would have read reviews about this product before for sure I would have not ordered it. Next time I want to order other risk free advertisements I will look into reviews and complaints before I order anything. "BEWARE OF THE SCAMS." My Father always told me. "Nothing is free in this life."

Hydroxatone Company should be Investigated

JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY -- Hydroxatone, its support and its Management sucks. I tried this product for 30 days and it didn't work so I returned it, however they will not give me a refund. In the meanwhile they're shipping more products to me and then charged me again for the products. I've called several times a week and I'm not able to speak to anyone. I'm usually on hold for about half an hour at a time, finally, after one week of straight calling, I was able to get someone on the phone after 45 minutes of waiting.

This guy ** was very rude and dismissive. I told him I was calling about the product being returned for a month and I have not seen any refund. He said yes he saw the return and is that all I'm calling about. He was not able to give me any answers to my questions about the refund and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, he said "I couldn't". He kept putting me on hold, I guess to speak to his supervisor.

I'm going to have this company investigated for fraud. It's ridiculous that a person cannot speak to a supervisor if they're not happy with customer service, I've never heard of this before. DO NOT TRY HYDROXATONE!!! You will be sorry, it's nothing but a scam and a headache to get your money back.
