Amazing Experience @ Ideal Image

TAMPA, FLORIDA -- I always heard about Ideal Image on the radio but as with most things I was very skeptical. I decided to call and take them up on their free consultation at one of their many locations. Upon arrival I was offered one of several available beverages and greeted by friendly caring staff members. I didn't wait long.....under 5 minutes before I was greeted by Marietta, the sales consultant. I thought I was in for someone nonstop pressuring me but to my wonderful surprise it was nothing like that. I had no idea what to expect so I did not have questions at first and that was OK. I was given a tour around the facility. I was taken to the room where the procedures take place and was shown everything in the room and what it is or could be used for. After my tour we went back to her office and she asked if I had any questions. By that time I had quite a few. It didn't bother her at all. She was very knowledgeable and patient as I asked very important questions and some pretty silly ones. Once my questions were answered she asked some non-invasive questions about me to find out what services I would benefit from. I felt so comfortable and was treated like their only client. I signed up right away. I am a single mom in between jobs right now and have the worst credit score in the world. I had no idea how I was going to be able to afford this. Marietta went above and beyond to help me out. I was able to qualify for credit to help with their already low prices. I got my first treatment before I left that day. It was not painful and the whole procedure took less than 10 mins. When I was done I made my next appointment for about 2 months later. I was told that I might see some hair loss after the first treatment but it might also take a couple times. About 2-3 weeks after my first treatment I have next to no hair. I don't have to shave or tweeze and I haven't even gone to my second appointment yet. The entire experience from the second I opened the door til long after I left the office has been absolutely amazing.

madconsumer on 2012-03-28:
That is an interesting fact, folks, but very few people have red or blonde hair (<4% of the population combined). I don't know how many people with gray hair would care about hair removal - they are probably concerned about whether Social Security will remain solvent...
Cwazychicken on 2012-03-28:
Usually if someone has grey hair, they hardly have much hair elsewhere..LOL..So they really don't have to spend thousands of dollars for this stuff. My mom doesn't have to shave as much that shes older.

To be 100 percent honest though, the OP states that they have every day low prices. Not the case, that I have seen. I don't consider thousands of dollars to be very low price. So I think that's misleading a little bit to make it sound like its cheap.

As a single mom I barely have enough time to worry about my appearance. As far as credit goes, I don't trust that route. They can talk you into signing up for a credit solution only to find out you will end up having to pay more interest later. So its not cheap.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT -- I've always been annoyed with the hair on my upper lip and between my eyebrows, known as the glabella. I’ve spent my life, until recently, bleaching, waxing and plucking. Bleaching was the cheapest but my skin reacted to it and I would have a bright red upper lip and glabella. It’s been an expense and an annoyance.

More recently a friend told me about Ideal Image who was running a deal on their laser treatments. She had just met with them and suggested that I go check them out. She knew that I had always found contending with the bleaching, waxing and plucking frustrating and expensive.

I was reluctant at first with the idea of having lasers used on my skin but decided to met with them and see what they had to say and learn more about the technique. I had my consultation and was met with a very friendly and informative staff. They explained how the laser hair removal worked. During the consultation I also made the decision to have my underarms done. I had previously had ingrown hairs that had become infected and had to go through the painful process of having them lanced. The upper lip and eyebrows were purely cosmetic but having my underarms done was going to be to eliminate a very painful and potentially dangerous situation. I signed up. The cost for my eyebrows, upper lip, chin area and my under arms was around $4,000 and a small cost for numbing cream, $10 – 30 dollars depending which you choice.

I was anxious on my first visit but that was met with a warm welcome and reassurances by the staff. The laser removal technician told me step by step what she was going to be doing. All Through the process she would check in with me to make sure I was doing OK. I didn’t find the process painful. You would get a quick zap when the laser was used but it was just that quick. There were certain areas I would feel a little more than others but I found it not to be anymore painful than waxing.

I can’t say enough about the staff at the Ideal Image in South Windsor they have all been friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

I would strongly recommend the laser hair removal with Ideal Image to anyone who has been annoyed with the prospect of getting rid of unsightly hair.

So the cost is about $4,000 dollars plus 10 to 30 dollars for numbing at each visit. Do they do all 3 areas at each visit and is the numbing cream charge per area? You say you got a "deal" What would the regular price have been for these procudures? Do they have to wait for the ingrown hairs to emerge before treatment or can they be zapped before emergence? Is the "deal" you got connected with posting on this site? Thank you for your post and I eagerly await your reply.
Cwazychicken on 2012-03-24:
I got to give this one props for at least giving more info than other posts about this same product. They mentioned the price, they mentioned what they got done, and while its not helpful to me, its very helpful to others....even if they decide not to go there. Its the reviews just praising the workers and not the product itself urks me. But now I understand why the office is so friendly to these people. For 4 thousand dollars a shot, cannot afford to be rude!

However with that said, it would be nice if people came back and said more about future visits. I highly have doubts that they remove all their hair in one visit.
madconsumer on 2012-03-24:
what color hair do you have?

laser hair removal has zero effect on red, gray, or light colored hair.
trmn8r on 2012-03-24:
Hardly anyone has red or blonde hair. I can't imagine senior citizens going for laser treatment either.

I'm seriously considering Ideal Image to take care of the blue hair at my bikini line - an experiment gone bad.
madconsumer on 2012-03-24:
people need to know the truth about laser hair removal.
trmn8r on 2012-03-24:
That warning pertains to precious few people. Is there something else negative that would interest a greater number of *potential* customers?

You could post your own "informative" to warn others - these OP's are obviously all convinced the service is effective for them. The interjection doesn't seem warranted for satisfied customers.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT -- Ideal image in South Windsor has great staff that is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I am very pleased with the service I have received from them. Right from the beginning they walked me through the process of laser hair removal, what to expect, and the length of time. My appointments are always on time, no waiting! After 2 visits I could already see a huge difference. I am at 6 treatments now and don't have to shave anymore! I still have 3 treatments left, just to make sure we have gotten all the different hair cycles. I would highly recommend calling Ideal Image, I couldn't be happier with my results!! Thanks guys, your the best!!

Don't be lured by the other cheap places

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- Like everyone else out there, I was always opening up the groupon, and living social deals, and jumping on the "fantastic deals" I bought one laser hair removal deal, only to find out that they didn't have the machine yet!!! They were trying to get some money together to get a gentle lase machine. They had an IPL machine that they said that could treat me with if I didn't want to wait till they had the right machine. Guess what, they still don't have the machine yet!!!

I don't know about you, but I love a good deal, I paid $200 for nothing!!! A. K.A. "Sucky deal!!!" I fought it and got my money back, but I'm not wasting my time again for false deals.

I finally broke down and called Ideal Image. I had heard from my friend that they were pricey, but they actually have machine's and they work! The girl who did the consultation was really nice. I wasn't comfortable about my hair issues. She introduced me to the nurses that do the treatments, explained how everything works, showed me the machines and had the nurse come in to see how treatable I was. I found out that I was not a candidate for the area that I wanted to treat. She said that there was no way that they will treat something that would have poor results. The other place told me that I would have great results! The other place just wanted my money! They didn't care about me at all! What jerks!

Well, this story has a happy ending. Well, almost.... I still have hair on the area that isn't treatable. But, I am LOVING the treatments that I have started with on my bikini and underarms with Ideal Image!!! I am on my 4th treatment, and the hair is soo thin and with each treatment, there is less and less hair left! I know that they are more expensive than the cheap places, but I wouldn't go anywhere else. With the monthly payment plan, it is actually about the same price that I was paying for waxing anyway.

Please call them and listen to what they have to say! Ideal Image will honestly let you know if you are not treatable, and if you are treatable, you will love not having to shave!!!

The Best Thing Ever
Posted by on
HAUPPAUGE, NEW YORK -- I interact with people on a daily basis as part of my job and people share many of their concerns with me or just things that they are upset about in general. So I wanted to share my story so it can hopefully help others who may be going through the same thing. Since I was a young teen I had always been plagued by unwanted body hair. I literally tried EVERYTHING and NOTHING worked. From shaving to creams to waxing and there was no relief to positive results or even anything at all. I was depressed because not only did it look bad but my body especially chest and abdominal became irritated and infected. I was completely fed up and I started to do some research into finding a permanent solution. Everyone told me it was expensive and painful and not even guaranteed but I had to find out on my own. So I called and researched numerous places, 11 to be precise, some guaranteed results others didn't and the price range varied amongst all the different places. I was in medical school and literally had no money but I couldn't take it anymore. One of my biggest concerns was not just money but would it work and was it harmful to me. So I asked each place a series of questions and when I was done I went home and cross-referenced the information with professors at my school to make sure the information was correct. To make a very LONG story short I chose to go with IDEAL IMAGE and it was honestly one of the BEST things that ever happened to me. Not only did I get my chest and abdominal region done but I continued and got my back, arms and part of my lower body done. It is honestly amazing, I am hair free and have no skin irritation and feel extremely comfortable in my own skin.

Thank you

Great experience!

I just wanted to share with you my experience at Ideal Image, Boca Raton. It has been almost a year since I purchased my first laser hair removal package at Ideal Image and I couldn't be happier. Stephanie, my personal consultant, has been in complete contact with me throughout the process, as the process takes about a year and a half to complete when done correctly. After almost every appointment, she asks how it went. And if I didn't see her at the facility, she would e-mail me the next day to see how everything went and if I was still happy about my decision to choose Ideal Image. Everything about their facility pushes them to the top of the laser hair removal category. It's CLEAN, Well-kept, the staff is always friendly, the equipment is state-of-the-art, and you never have to worry about being ripped off. After 1 year of the treatments (5 of 9 have been completed), I have little to no hair growth in my bikini area, which to my understanding is normal. I don't really have to shave between appointments, because the hair falls out after a couple weeks. The razor bumps I had virtually every day are GONE! THANK GOD! Showers are much faster and easier now that I don't have to shave that area. I love not having to shave when I want to go to the beach on a spur-of-the-moment trip, nor before intimate moments with my boyfriend. Life in general is soo much easier. Saying my boyfriend LOVES my investment in Ideal Image is a serious understandment :) I don't know what I would have done if I didn't get this procedure done. It's so quick---like 10-15 minutes for my entire bikini area (I got the brazilian minus the backside). There is minor pain during the procedure...but nothing compared to waxing. And you only have to do it 9 times--then you're done forever!

I love that Stephanie keeps me up to date on specials and events they are having, so I can determine when the best time for me is to add another section of my body to the package. I'm going for legs next!! DON'T fall for those online discount deals through groupon/living social. The lasers are not the same and they only provide 3-5 treatments, when you need 9 to fully get rid of the hair. Don't be cheap--this is your body/skin you're talking about. Plus, Ideal Image does have GREAT sales certain times of the year. Check them out--you won't regret it.

Not Satisfied

WARNING: Only dark hair can be treated. You are told from the beginning. What you aren’t told is that …..THE HAIR WILL TURN WHITE!! The hair does not fall out.

I am halfway through my treatments. It was a deal that was half off the normal price. (Watch that for one thing) 9 treatments for 2,300 dollars for chin and neck (Lakeland FL) I have NEVER seen any of the hair fall out. THE HAIR TURNS WHITE.

I am "54" years of age and I know I went in with some white hairs, but not this darn many. I have one "lonely" hair further down my neck that I always had to ask them to get and this was a black hair, well now it's white, that my friend is proof that this laser treatment turns your hair white.

REFUND/TRANSFER: When I expressed my unhappiness, their offer was to have me transfer the rest of my treatments to someone else, then when I proceeded to do that, the same person told me a few days later that the management says they don't normally do this, but they could credit the person I chose transfer my services to the amount would be $432.00. WHAT? Are you kidding me? Please! (I think I was virtually slapped in the face) The explanation of such a low transfer fee was due to the treatment package being offered to me at such a low cost and that specific offer could not be transferred.

I am in the process of trying to get a refund. I plan on seeking out the bank who financed this and seeing what my options are, if I stop the procedures.
Advertisement: It is a fabulous concept and anyone that has embarrassing hair and wanting to get rid of it, will most certainly ponder the idea and act on it if possible, but this is a “fairytale” my friends.

SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI -- I booked an appointment for the free consultation everything was great until we sat down and started talking about prices BEFORE ASKING ME SHE STARTED RUNNING MY CREDIT REPORT! when she asked me for my social I said why would you need my social?? She said oh I am running your credit, and I said why, I didn't want to finance this, WE HADN'T EVEN DISCUSSED PRICES YET! SHE SAID OH WELL IT'S 7700.00 if you pay upfront. RIDICULOUS! I found another place with no high pressure sales pitch and it's going great so far, and is so much cheaper it's funny. I recommend laser hair removal but not from here. I reported them to the BBB.

Don't Waste Your Money. Don't Trust What They Tell You

AVENTURA, FLORIDA -- I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the results or lack of same from the treatments I received at the Aventura Ideal Image.

When I had my first consultation I was assured that I was the right candidate to obtain excellent results, etc, etc and that the treatment would be:

1-PAINLESS.
Only if one enjoy being tortured or is into S&M to consider the treatments painless. Few times I had to ask the technician to stop and give few seconds between zaps because it was just too much pain. Upon reading several complaints about Ideal Image I later learned that there are ways of treating sensitive areas that can be less painful.

2-PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL
Only between my toes! I have more hair than before. I have hair growing in places that I had a peach fuss before. Now it is either shave it or wax it. I went in with one particular area on the chin with 5-6 stuburn hairs and now I have my neck full of dark hair to deal with. Whenever I complained about it, the technician said that by the end of the treatment I would be free of all the hair. Another technician told me that sometimes when one area is treated it stimulates other areas. The way to deal with it is to apply ice immediately after being zapped. That was never discussed or done before and now it is just too late. I was promised to get few additional free treatments if not totally satisfied.

3-FULL SATISFACTION
Totally opposite! Upon my LAST treatment I was asked by a very professional technician if I had cancer. When I told her that I have skin cancer I was told that I could no longer be treated. I left and was told that someone would call me to discuss the matter.

4-CUSTOMER SERVICE
I received a call from Lisa days later telling me that I no longer could be treated. When I asked her about being reimbursed for whatever treatments might be left or for all the hair that now I was told that she was waiting for headquarters to get back to her and that they take a long time to take care of these matters. I kept calling and calling and only when I contacted headquarters directly via email chat I started to get results. I got a call from David Cruz and shortly after from Michelle Woods.
Ms. Woods told me that I had used all my treatments and I could no longer be treated due to my condition. I told her of my dissatisfaction with the end results and again was denied any sort reimbursement since now I am left with more hair and no longer can be treated for it. I asked her to send me the confirmation of her decision in writing and she said she would not put anything in writing.

Unfortunately now that it is too late I started surfing the web and found several of the same types of complaints and wonder what was the end results of those complaints.

Manipulators

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA -- I went to Ideal Image because I heard that they had a 50% discount during the month of October. I went in just for a consulation and ended up agreeing and signing up for $2,700.00 worth of treaments. The sales person was pushy and did not seem to care about my situation. She was almost mad when I told her I could not afford more and at first said it was too late bc she had already got me approved for $3,800.00 worth of treatment. Finally she took off one of my areas after I stressed how unrealistic it would be for me to pay that much. In the deal she explained to me that I would have 2 years to pay off my treatments so I would make monthly payments of $113.00. When my first bill came it it said I only had one year to pay it off or I would suffer a 16% interest fee. I called her up expecting her to tell me it was an error and she would fix it. Instead she told me that technically I could pay it off as long as I like and I would only have a small interest rate and that she never said 2 year no interest. I told her there was no way I would have agrred to pay that off over only one year. She then said that if I hadn't been okay-ing everything with my boyfriend (we share our bills and expenses) then maybe I would have heard her correctly and it was part of her "ethics" to let customers leave without know what they've agreed to. I am beyond disappointed with this company and the sales person. On top of everything else, I've spoken with other people hwo have had laser removal done from other companies and they have told me that what I am paying (supposedly at half price) was more than what they paid at full price. Do not do business with this company, you will get ripped off. The only positive thing I have to say was that during my 1st treatment the technician was amazing, nice and caring. She had a far different attitude than her co-worker.

That's because the first employee is in sales and works on commission.
MaggieMcT on 2009-12-06:
Didn't they have any paperwork on this agreement? If the salesperson had to get you approved, you probably had to sign something.
Sugar1Sav on 2011-05-26:
The technician must be gone now because they are baaaaad. Seems like all the good ones are gone.

They are Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners not Techs. And don't work on commission.
