ONLINE ORDERING, TEXAS -- I got an email notification (and an automated voice call) stating that my online order will be delivered on 7/15, 1PM to 4PM. I was home the entire day.

The delivery guy didn't knock the door, or ring the door bell. He tried calling my cellphone, which was in silent mode and I missed the call.
He left without delivering, and later when I called their customer service, I am told that I need to pay redelivery fee.
It doesn't make sense. I checked all their emails, and no where did they say that if my phone went unanswered, the delivery will not happen.
I'm not taking this answer. I'm fighting.
Grandson had the barbecued ribs. He found 2 gray hairs in his food (separate bites). He refused to eat the rest of the lunch. His mother had the Swedish meatballs. After leaving the store, both felt sick. She got diarrhea, which lasted all day. He got flu-like symptoms and a high fever, which so far, have lasted five days. ONLINE -- Received an incorrect piece (ordered bathroom vanity, received a desk).This delayed my home renovation.
After speaking with multiple reps (countless hours), my order was "expedited." This took another 2 1/2 weeks (initial order took 2 weeks and was not "expedited"). No help from Ikea to make it quicker, multiple phone conversations required, and no financial restitution for my hardship (due to their mistake).
WOULD NEVER ORDER ONLINE FROM IKEA AGAIN!!!!
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- I bought a couch, paid for delivery and assembly which should have been today, 3 July. When they did not arrive I called the delivery company and spent TWO HOURS on hold and then decided to call IKEA directly. I spent another TWO HOURS being passed from one department and person to another, they hung up, they disconnected me and finally, AFTER FOUR HOURS, they told me that my order had been CANCELLED. I explained that I had the receipts in my hand, I was billed on my credit card etc. but they had no explanation and could only suggest that I go to the store (20 miles away) and MAYBE somebody there could explain what happened.
It is the WORST customer service I have ever had, 99% of them have absolutely no clue and obviously no training and I will NEVER put my foot back in their store. I suggest that you price compare before shopping there as they are not cheap either

HOUSTON, TEXAS -- Many problems with our birch cabinets colors. Many black and purple lines all over the doors...but not on their display cabinets. Waited hours trying to return inferior product. Also we were forced to buy $150 worth of extra product to get our 20% discount because they were out of one of the products we were buying, which put us under the total $ amount needed for our discount.
We were told we could return extra items anytime up to 25 years later. We decided not to use them after kitchen was completed and we tried to return extra items 1 1/2 yrs later. After waiting one hour they wouldn't take them back, even though they still carry the product.

Worst people I have ever seen in service industry. Not faithful and having least knowledge about IKEA products and services.
Wasted Home Delivery charges as they assured the bed we bought is correct size one and required mid beam and all. but actually it was of wrong size and mid beam was not required for that bed.
Home Delivery is meant to screw you, they do not follow special instructions at all regarding to delivery. And worst case, they will deliver your product when you are mid of your work and not at home.
And they will charge you extra same amount of delivery charges if we ask them to come as per special instructions.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- Ikea is the worst company to deal with if you want to buy something on line.
First, they have many products that you have to go through layers of paper work to buy.
Why? Just simple stupidity. I simply wanted to buy a bookcase. I just wanted to pay for it on line, but no, I have to call the store, then the store sends me a delivery contract which must be sent it a certain way. Then, after you send it you must wait for days for a sale representative to call you for your credit card number?!
And it goes on and on, for weeks and weeks.
Finally, I was so mad at the sales agent because she wanted me to refax my application because of some clerical mistake that I just hung up on her.
Stay away for Ikea, it is a headache and anyway its products are cheap and nondurable.
Go with quality, it is better, durable and faster to purchase.
Ikea sucks, period.

I tried to cancel my delivery a day before The scheduled time. I was given a Store no. when I was scheduled for delivery, I called and was asked to wait for the next available operator. I tried a few times but I was never connected to the operator. Insipid of my attempts to cancel, I was never reimbursed for the delivery charges.

ELIZABETH, NEW JERSEY -- I purchased kitchen cabinets and bought the doors in 2 IKEA stores because they were closing out the ones I liked. No problem there. But first you must walk through the entire store (so you not miss any items they are selling) and once purchased you need to wait on long lines either to pay pick up or arrange for delivery. . Don't even try to contact any dept via phone...you will wait (1/2 hour yesterday x 2 phone calls) and then either be disconnected or have not been transferred properly.

IKEA advertises assembling availability of kitchen cabinets but currently they do not have a company, despite what their recording or staff say.
Would not recommend shopping there for anything....better to go to BB and Beyond or Home Depot
They never pick up, don't respond to email, can't even cancel order online, and when you eventually get to a human they tell you you have to talk to another department, make you wait, and you never get to the right people. just unbelievable. FLORIDA -- I am from Europe and there when you shop in an Ikea store, nobody never is going to check you bags after you paid for the product you bought. I went here in Sunrise FL and I was shocked!!! After you paid there is a person at the door checking thru your stuff to make sure you didn't steal something! I found it very insulting! Before you make sure to take my money and after you treat me like a theft.
