I moved from CA to FL with my items in storage for 6 months. Parts for my discontinued Ikea bed disappeared somewhere. I called Ikea, gave them the part numbers and they shipped out all the parts for free. I paid no shipping and did not pay for parts. That is customer service. Add reply
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA -- I had purchased a loft from IKEA and when I set it up at home, the bed was too close to the ceiling. I tried to take it apart but the wooden boards on the bottom of the bed are nailed in both sides to the bed frame so that there is support for the mattress. However, instead of having me use nails that come out easily, I have these little white, plastic pegs that I had to hammer into the bed because there was no other way to get them in. There is no way to pull them out without damaging the wood and IKEA won't return the bed if its damaged. I tried using the back of a hammer but it was hard to get it underneath the peg and when I pulled it scratched the wood! I have till mid December to return it undamaged and in its package but I cannot get it apart without scraping the wood!Add reply

ASHTON UNDER LYNE -- I bought a wardrobe from Ikea Ashton under lyne in June. The carcass was warped badly by October. It needed replacing straight away so I went to the store and picked (with help from an Ikea warehouse assistance with muscles) a new carcass, paid for it and paid the £19 for delivery. Having done so I went across to the customer returns desk with very little hope of a refund. I had the original receipt and the new receipt. I explained what had happened and my delivery charge was refunded straight away. The warped carcass panels were collected by the company which delivered the new package. About three days later I had a text from Ikea that my refund was ready if I rang for it. The phone was answered on the third ring and the price of the new wardrobe refunded.
I would like to add that the assistants at customer returns said I could apply for a refund of the cost of erecting the original wardrobe but I did not do so as my son does this work and it was not necessary to apply. I am very pleased with my treatment.
Several expensive C.F.L's failed as soon as power applied. Would not replace IKEA Branded product without receipt. Add reply

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK -- I bought a couch, bed, mattress and wardrobe. Wardrobe doors came majorly cracked, mattress had slashes in the bottom. Everything came in very small pieces in which took us days to put together. My boyfriend does construction and he was struggling. Delivery came at times they did not tell me they were coming.

Now that I need my doors replaced because they came damaged, I have been waiting 2 weeks and just found out that they are rescheduling my delivery again to make me wait LONGER. I have spent hours and hours on hold on the phone trying to fix these problems and over and over nobody cares.
If you want to deal with a company that you get what you order, and you get it when you are told you will get it, DO NOT SHOP AT IKEA. Seriously, seriously not worth it.
ROUND ROCK, TEXAS -- I ordered over 4K in furniture to remodel professional office. They tried to deliver damaged boxes. If I had not said something they would have delivered boxes that were obviously broken open. They promised redelivery four separate times and didn't ever show up. They demanded pictures of product I didn't accept so I was unable to provide them with. I was told a supervisor would "call me back" and after six months I have failed to get ONE single call.

I cancelled the payment to my card and they forged a signature to the credit card company that isn't even mine. I am in the process of a law suit to get refunded for a purchase that was not delivered, has not been refunded and has been unprofessional in their responsibility for honoring the delivery I paid extra for.
TROY, MICHIGAN -- Bought a product on their website that said it was available online. My credit card was charged. Weeks go by, I have received no confirmation email or product in the mail. I call Ikea customer service. They say the product was never ordered and they will reorder and send to me-no charge because I was already charged.... Week goes by, nothing... No email... No product... I call again. They say they don't know why I was able to order that product (frack mirror) online because it is not available for purchase through their website. Even though it is because I ordered it and they charged my card. So now they say I can't buy it but I was still charged so they will refund me my $16.95. Still waiting to see the refund on my credit card... I am pissed... How is this possible? No one knows what they are doing when you call them. I talk to two different people and they both do two different things and give me two different answers as to why I haven't received my purchase.

ONLINE ORDERING, TEXAS -- I got an email notification (and an automated voice call) stating that my online order will be delivered on 7/15, 1PM to 4PM. I was home the entire day.

The delivery guy didn't knock the door, or ring the door bell. He tried calling my cellphone, which was in silent mode and I missed the call.
He left without delivering, and later when I called their customer service, I am told that I need to pay redelivery fee.
It doesn't make sense. I checked all their emails, and no where did they say that if my phone went unanswered, the delivery will not happen.
I'm not taking this answer. I'm fighting.
Grandson had the barbecued ribs. He found 2 gray hairs in his food (separate bites). He refused to eat the rest of the lunch. His mother had the Swedish meatballs. After leaving the store, both felt sick. She got diarrhea, which lasted all day. He got flu-like symptoms and a high fever, which so far, have lasted five days.
