Stranded at JFK at 1:00 am!

HAUPPAUGE, NEW YORK -- Islander shuttle service was reserved for 8 people to JFK Airport and service from airport to home. Courtesy call placed to company that flight had 30 minute delay. Dispatcher stated that wouldn't be a problem because they use a flight tracker. Upon waiting at curbside at 1am, shuttle van wasn't there. Call made to company and dispatcher stated that we should walk to Terminal 2-3, which normally would be passed by driver to go to Terminal 4 where we were supposed to be picked up. I found that to be an unusual request and called company again. Mind you, we exited a plane and entered a cold windy rainstorm at 1am in NY. No one was appropriately dressed for the inclement weather.
On phone with company who stalled us for over an hour where dispatcher became agitated when questioned about his professionalism and service. He started to curse at me and stated he has been in the business for over 20 years. Once driver came at 2:15am, we were surprised to discover that he was called in to work and drove one hour from home to get us. Company denies their staffing issues and refused to call back with our complaint. The young driver was practically sleeping behind the wheel and I had to make small talk with him to keep him alert. He was also reminded not to answer his cell while driving and to use his hands free device in the van.
From the owner down to the front line, no one has apologized for abandoning and delaying us at JFK. Once I had the chance to look at their website, I was appalled at their mission statement of professional, courtesy and quality service. The owner could not stand by his words and this company will not SAFELY drive customers anywhere. Please email me before attempting to use Islander Airport Shuttle in Hauppauge, NY. You will risk your life and money for disgraceful, unprofessional services.
