The worst customer service I ever had
Posted by Nmartinez2007733 on 07/05/2011
Went to Jack in the Box on 2920 and close to Falvel in Spring, Tx with my family over the holiday weekend and when I started ordering our food the person on the order radio was absolutely rude. I couldn't place my order with her because she wasn't interested in me whatsoever. After arguing with her for about 2 minutes I asked to speak with her manager and she replied she was the manager. I couldn't believe it. She then turned her radio off to ignore me. I drove up to the window told her this was the second time I've a problem with her "management skills", she then threatened to call the police. Then we drove to Wendys and had great service. This is the first time I've written about a complaint but feel it needs to get corrected. Just for that reason I will never dine at Jack in the box.

Good service
Posted by Andbran on 05/20/2011
ARLINGTON, TEXAS -- I decided to go to Jack In The Box after school. I evem went through the drive(something I rarely do). I ordered a number 9 which was a combo for 5.99. The total was a bit high so I calmly told what the price on the board was. they had someone go outside to look at it. instead of giving me the 5.99 price of the meal I got the meal for free. this is what can happen when you don't yell or scream at someone for an error.

I am a believer in staying calm in situations like this. The employees will be more willing to work with you and, in this case, give you a free meal.

Can you imagine what might happen elsewhere?

"I said it was 3.99 on the board, and the nasty person said she didn't care WHAT it said, and the price was $4.50! WTH?"

Good review! The "Helpful" votes are piling up like young girls outside the American Idol studios.

Rude
Posted by Fkaiser on 03/30/2011
So me and my husband decide to go to lunch to Jack In The Box with our three girls everything was good until he. finished his food and was still hungry so he gets up to order and the cashier without caring I was there with our children in a very high pitched voice tells my husband hes a very handsome man and that all the girls there thought so too but they didn't have the balls to tell me I just saw other people eating there turn there heads to look at me. All the manager did was laugh. My nine year old daughter said it was out of line for her to do that. Never will I return there I couldn't say anything to her because my kids were there and I knew it would get ugly..ill take a compliment on my husband anytime. but flirting and the way she said it was so beyond rude.

It's never appropriate for a cashier to comment on the looks of a customer especially in front of that customer's spouse. That's a no-brainer. The cashier was totally in the wrong on this one.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-03-31:
It's Jack in the Box, not some 5 star restaurant.. The fact that you place your drive thru order with a clown should tell you all you need about the service you will get.
Posted by samantha on 2013-05-29:
I apologize that happend
I experience the worst rascists jack in the box ever. In Tempe,Az priest and university just saying meanful and hateful things about african americans in spanish knowing im spanish and can hear everything saying why they allow that just evil and malice and the managers allows that will not eat there ever again that poor lady that works there is very respectful not knowing what was being said about her. They need a law suit. To all african american needs easy cash go to that jack in the box.

Where's the Beef?
Posted by Starlord on 01/25/2011
I saw on the news that someone has filed a class action suit against Taco Bell over the percentage of beef in their taco filling. I happen to like Taco Bell tacos. Perhaps the plaintiff would like to try Jack in the Box tacos. The current JitB commercial shows Jack as a cop, sent for lunch.

The tacos shown in the commercial have filling spilling out the end of the shell, lettuce and possibly tomato, and a slice of cheese. Every time I have gotten tacos at JitB, there is less than a tablespoon of highly spiced stuff that is definitely NOT ground beef, in a grease laden shell.

It sort of looks like a Mexican ravioli. If anyone should be sued over tacos, it is Jack in the Box.

Starlord, you should know never to buy Mexican food at a chain. Especially one that doesn't specialize in it. Do they have Muchos Gracias in your area? If so, check it out! Very authentic, fast food Mexican. I'm sure they cook with lard, but who's checking for my once-in-a-while visits in SW WA, lol.

I love that people have nothing better to do than SUE over TACOS!

But, now I want a Taco Bell taco. I think the amount of beef is just fine. We don't have Jack in the Box around here, so I can't comment.
Posted by MRM on 2011-01-25:
We, also, dont have Jack in Box over here in the 757.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-25:
Mexican ravioli, ROFL! Has anyone ever complained about too much beef?!
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-25:
I read somewhere that the filling in those tacos is actually beef flavored soy. I've never like the tacos that much anyways. But my SIL's latest pregnancy craving is their tacos nachos; its their tacos with melted cheese all over them, nacho style. Makes my stomach turn just thinking about it
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-25:
It amazing JITB made a comeback after this:

"Jack in the Box's success came to a halt in the 1990s because of two main factors: the national recession of 1990-91 (the company suffered an 81 percent decline in net earnings in 1991) and more importantly, the E. coli epidemic of 1993: Four children died and hundreds of others became sick in the Seattle area as well as California, Idaho and Nevada, after eating undercooked and contaminated meat from Jack in the Box. It was the largest and deadliest E. coli outbreak in American history up to that time."

I haven't eaten there since because I always think of e-coli when I see their name.

Posted by Venice09 on 2011-01-25:
I remember that, sing. I didn't think Jack in the Box would ever recover from it. I have never been to Jack in the Box, but I too think of e-coli when I see the name. Some people have short memories, I guess.
Posted by azRider on 2011-01-25:
Actually the Jack in the Box tacos is a combination of beef and beans. They don't hide the fact that it has more beans than meat. but I agree, the tacos never look like the picture on tv. the Mexican ravioli is very accurate.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-25:
Do any items ever look like the pictures/tv ads??

MG, we actually have people suing Taco Bell over the % of meat in their tacos? I'd like to start a class action against parents that continue to feed FF slop to their kids.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-25:
Here, here, jc. I'll join that! It's not so much the parents who take them once in a while to me, but more the ones who make it the kid's regular diet.

Excellent post Starlord. I love stories like this.

Anyone who cares here's the official taco meat ingredient list

"Beef, Water, Seasoning [Isolated Oat Product, Salt, Chili Pepper, Onion Powder, Tomato Powder, Oats (Wheat), Soy Lecithin, Sugar, Spices, Maltodextrin, Soybean Oil (Anti-dusting Agent), Garlic Powder, Autolyzed Yeast Extract, Citric Acid, Caramel Color, Cocoa Powder (Processed With Alkali), Silicon Dioxide, Natural Flavors, Yeast, Modified Corn Starch, Natural Smoke Flavor], Salt, Sodium Phosphates. CONTAINS SOYBEAN, WHEAT"

"The class-action lawsuit charges that Taco Bell's meat mixture contains binders and extenders and does not meet the minimum requirements set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to be labeled as beef,"

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/ondeadline/post/2011/01/suit-charges-taco-bell-with-false-advertising-over-its-meat-mixture-/1
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-25:
Why oh why do they need so many darn ingredients? I make delicious tacos with just a few ingredients--and this is only the meat!
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-25:
Reading the story the suit does not seek monitary damages but rather seeks to force "Taco Bell be honest in its advertising".

I wonder which Taco competitor is behind this one.

In aside there will be no Lion Tacos in Tuscon AZ. Sorry Wally.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-25:
Maybe it's consumers, LR, not a competitor?

Posted by Starlord on 2011-01-27:
We found Del Taco to have great tacos, then Taco Bell, and for the bottom, it is a close race between Jack and the Taco Del Mar. I gave up on looking to Jack in the Box for meat long ago. To me, this is as bad as when we lived in San Diego and sw billboards all over the place, advertising fish tacos. When we decide to try one, we got a fish stick in a soft tortilla. Later, I found out a real fish taco was a fillet in a shell with cabbage and a special sauce.

We called their complaint department because they hire alocal biker gang memebr who is very nasty and treated us with disrespect. They told the employee who waited 7 days, then went to Police and tried to get us arrested for harassing her. This ame biker has threateend to kill us before as have other members of their gang. Jack says he wants to hear from you. DON'T DO IT...CORPORATE says they are going to tell ehr we called back even though we told them to forget they ever heard of us, they said they encourage their employees to call Police if they feel threateend by a customer. (7 days later she felt threateened) So, if you go to Jack In The bOx in Livingston Texas you may get arrested or killed by a biker gang. And don't complain to Corporate, Jack lied when he said he wants to know. I cannot sleep now and am embarrassed the Police came to our home for this.

The reason for that is because they are fried tacos....in a freezer. They come on a truck. They put lettuce, one slice of a triangle cheese and a fire roasted taco sauce for their tacos. The monster tacos have more lettecuse an extra slice of cheese and more sauce. And its J.I.B. not J.i.t.b. They never put tomatos on their tacos. The reason people get them is because they are 2 for a dollar and they are cheap, quick easy meal that feeds people.
Posted by vampires.will.rule.the.world on 2014-01-23:
And they did recover from the E.coli outbreak. They put into action a haccap. Which requires so many more things that need to be done before we serve anything. They have to do a double check on ALL beef patties and anything cooked on the grill. They have to make sure that nothing is expired because if it is we throw it out, we don't use it. And lastly, there hasn't been any trouble since 1993. If you want trouble, check out Mcdonalds or any other fast food chain restaurant. Just about everyone of them has had something bad happen.

Worst Drive-thru experience of my LIFE
Posted by on 01/24/2011
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- This complaint tells a story about ineptness and idiocy and customer devaluation, about the everyday tension between respectable hardworking customers and those paid to serve us at the fast food window. Although I do not desire to demonize anybody or play the 'blame-game' but an honest recollection of events has no other possible outcome.

It's the morning and the boy and I are coming back from our boys weekend getaway in San Antonio. We needed a quick stop for some breakfast. Now I wanted Taco Cabana but the boy wanted Jack in the Box which ya know I gave in cause I'm that kind of nice guy.

We placed our order for two steak breakfast burritos and two large drinks. Then we rolled up in line behind two other cars. Now this particular drive-thru there is no escape except for backing-up and that option was quickly eliminated by the customer behind us.

Twenty-four minutes later the car in front of me drives off making it my turn at the drive thru window. Ya know 24 minutes is a hell of a wait but eh we're almost done so I'm cool. The lady takes my money and gives me our drinks. About three minutes later the manager comes to the window and says "I'm sorry but we're out of steak breakfast burritos would you like your money back?". Odd she didn't ask me if I wanted to change my order. So I said yeah sure. She refunds me my money for the steak burritos but not for the sodas we're drinking.

I first said this isn't a total refund which she replied I have to charge you for your drinks since you've already taken drinks from them. I said, 'NO, wrong answer'. I need a refund for the drinks as well. You can certainly have them back if you'd like but it seems senseless since you'll just throw them away and two free drinks seems fair since we've been stuck in your drive-thru for half an hour for basically nothing. Now I need my refund.

She said no again because of the drinks and again stated I can't give you a refund. I said you can and you will. This is just silly. Give me my money back and I'll be on my way. It's just that simple. She was obviously getting stressed and upset but soon enough she saw the light and gave me the rest of my money back albeit without a smile or an apology.

I drove down the road a bit to Taco Cabana where I got my food, my satisfaction and a smile in less than five minutes. Awesome.

So the moral of this story is never take a 14's advice on where to go for fast food in San Antonio.

Well you really can't expect superior service and sound customer service decisions from a FF joint now can you? No reason to be so hard on the worker bee that I can see by what's written here.

Moral of the story: eat a healthy breakfast at a diner, or better yet, if you really want it your way, cook your own.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
24 minutes? Holy smokes. Moral of the story: Never, ever use the drive-thru.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
JC, I wasn't hard but rather firm in expressing what I desired. I never raised my voice nor showed the least bit of anger. AS always I presented a front of calm assertiveness.

And secondly how the heck am I going to cook my own when I'm almost 400 miles away from home? Sometimes fast food is a good option... ya know so long as it's not jack in the box north of San Antonio.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
That is the truth hothead13.
Posted by jktshff1 on 2011-01-24:
Roth, good review with one exception...LEAVE ROOM IN FRONT OF YOU CAR IN A DRIVE THRU FOR ESCAPE!! You are a sitting duck. Lowlife walks up to you car with the intention of robbing you...what do you do, cash in hand, purse/wallet on the seat? No choice, but to shoot or surrender if you are blocked in.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
"She was obviously getting stressed and upset but soon enough she saw the light.." ...I'd say based on that statement, authored by you the OP, is enough proof that you were too hard on her. She's not paid to make decisions, she's paid to bag and shovel food out the window.

You didn't say you were 400 miles from home, you said you were coming back...for all I knew that could have meant you were 10 miles from home. Maybe if you included all of the details, I could respond appropriately.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
Now that just makes me cry.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
JC, as stated in my review the person I was speaking to was the manager. I do believe they are paid a little bit extra to make decisions.

How is being 400 miles away from home relevant to this review? Am I to believe that the level of service one receives is dependent on the proximity of the FF joint to ones home?

jktshff1, That's something to think about.
Posted by shayen on 2011-01-24:
I thought this review was well-written and that the letter writer received poor service. I do agree with the advice to always leave enough room between you and the car in front of you to make an escape.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
Good grief...how many FF complaints are posted here daily about poor manager interactions?! They may be paid a bit more, but I think the proof is in the pudding..bag and shovel, bag and shovel.

You asked how you were to cook @home considering you were 400 miles away...that's why it's relevant. Pay attention, sheesh!
Posted by MRM on 2011-01-24:
Only Justice-4-All would write a post like this.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
Well JC, I'll never enable bad FF employee behavior by remaining silent when confronted with unacceptable service. The FF service bar got lowered to where it is today because of weak personalities and general customer apathy. Sorry but life is too special to encourage mediocrity in others and as god as my witness so long as this wheel can squeak it will squeak.

MRM, Wrong answer.

I love Taco Cabana. I always go there when I'm in TX. They opened one up here in AZ, but it lasted only a year. Now it's a Carl's Jr. True story
Posted by ontario_girl on 2011-01-24:
I completely get your frustration, Lord, and I can say I would be irritated as heck as well. But I do have to add that if a customer told me, "No, wrong answer," it would get my back up. No customer needs to tell me how to do my job. I, of course, would not have hesitated to give you the drinks for free to begin with, just for the ridiculously long wait in the drive-thru.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
"Sorry but life is too special to encourage mediocrity in others and as god as my witness so long as this wheel can squeak it will squeak."

Finally...I am convinced to give this the thumbs up. Took long enough.
Posted by bhskittykatt on 2011-01-24:
I agree with ontario_girl. You could have been a bit less confrontational. Politeness begets politeness, and rudeness begets rudeness. That being said, I think you definitely deserved a full refund. Being trapped in a drive-thru for 24-minutes is ridiculous, especially only to discover they don't have what you wanted. Comping the drinks would have been small recompense for your trouble and would have cost them less than the loss of future business from you.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
I assure you I was not rude in the least. It is not rude to assert what you want, what you expect and what you consider unacceptable. It's a shame that in today's world all too often calm assertiveness is mistaken for 'rudeness'.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
(VH)HR, you were right to ask for a full refund since you waited all that time in line right thing to do.
Posted by yoke on 2011-01-24:
You were correct in asking for a full refund.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
I don't believe for one second Lord was rude and neither should anyone else.
Posted by dan gordon on 2011-01-24:
at Jack in the Box I ordered a combo with regular fries. They said they were out of them but had curly fries. I said sure and then they wanted to charge me extra for the 'upgrade'. I had the same reaction. If your out of something switch me to something else but don't expect the customer to pay cause you don't have any to sell.
Posted by mrnmrsweibel on 2011-01-24:
I'm sorry but I have to disagree with some of this. While I do agree waiting 24 minutes is uncalled for, and hopefully they apologized for that. I do not think you should have gotten a full refund. If you were willing to pay full price for your order without wanting a refund for waiting why would you want a refund for the drinks you were already drinking just because they gave you a refund for the food you were not getting. Had you asked about getting you meal for free because of the wait before they offered you a refund for the meals they couldn't supply? Although, I too don't understand why they wouldn't have asked if you wanted something else before offering a refund.
Posted by madconsumer on 2011-01-24:
great review.

very helpful.
Posted by momsey on 2011-01-24:
I also believe you can assert yourself for what you think is right without being rude. I would think if he was rude, he would have gotten a different response, other than just the standard "well, you have the drinks, so you'll pay for them."

mrnmrsweibel, I don't think the wait was as much of an issue until he found out that he would get nothing for the wait except for drinks. They certainly knew they had no steak burritos long before he was informed. It's just plain good customer service to give the drinks for free for his inconvenience.
Posted by ChuhBaca on 2011-01-24:

Shame you had to match wits with the poor, hard working employee to get a total refund.

Oh, the perils of the drive thru never end.
Posted by Anonymous on 2011-01-24:
It seems this waiting thing happens all the time at these places. Good you were able to convince them to give you all your money back. For the couple of bucks, I would have been happy with the drinks, especially if it was my morning coffee, but everyone has their limits.
Posted by DebtorBasher on 2011-01-24:
They probably didn't ask if you wanted something else in place of what you ordered because it would hold them up even more. Sounds like they just wanted to refund those in line, just to clear the line up and start all over again.

Yeah, they should have at least offered you the drinks for free since you had to wait for nothing. When I went to McDonalds, they asked me to pull up for my order *Yes, Dirm...the Basher pulled up :)*, it wasn't even a two minute wait, when the guy came out with my Sausage bagel, he told me he included a free hashbrown for my wait.

The people at jack in the crack went the wrong way about it.

Venice09, The original order was for two large sodas and two steak breakfast burritos. My order was taken even though the order could not be fulfilled. I know this because the manager told me she had informed the staff earlier they were out of steak breakfast burritos. Information I was entitled to know before ordering.

The two large drinks came to about five dollars. Okay I was willing to pay that price for the sodas for convenience but make no mistake about it there is now way I was willing to pay that price for the drinks alone. Especially considering it took 24 minutes to receive the drinks and seeing that I could have got the same drinks for half the price in one fourth the time at the convenience store next door.

I'm not ashamed to say that I get my way most of the time and honestly what's wrong with that?

My son is a teen, and he'd be a great manager. On the other hand, I've seen adult managers who shouldn't even be working in retail.

When you tell someone "Wrong answer" after they told you they couldn't give you a refund on something, did you ever stop to think that they could be exremly busy. For all you know they could be short handed and stuff happens throughout the day like running out of something and you don't have enough staff to borrow from another store. At what time of the day did you go? Because usually in the morning, there are only 2 people. One customer service person who makes the drinks, takes the money, bags the food and does what they need to do for both drive through and front counter. And the other is the grill person who is supposed to help you. Now what happens when someone orders 30 supreme crossiants and you're trying to help the grill person and take the money and take the orders and run back and forth? It's gets very stressful. The managers actually make only a dollar more than miminum wage. So next time think...before you tell that person Wrong answer. Also the refund thing I understand, I would have asked for one two and I would have asked to change my order to something that they had in stock and ready to go. Like say 6 breakfast jacks which would have added up to the same price as 2 steak and egg burritos. And normal the manager or in this case shift leader would say sure no problem. NOt every jib is the same. You have to understand that.

Fast food my butt
Posted by Laureenary on 12/13/2010
Several times I have gone to Jack In The Box on Wax Road and all you do is wait.
Today went inside and their was only three people there, and they were waiting on their food.
10 mins. and never was waited on.
I don't think they have enough help.
Slowest fast food place I've ever been in.
We left and two that came in after us also left.

I had lunch at Jack Today and the food came out fast. Guess it depends on location
Posted by Starlord on 2010-12-14:
Just can't please some people. If it's fast, they complain the food is prepared ahead of time and kept under heat lamps. If it's slow, they complain about it being slow, not realizing it takes a bit of time to prepare food. Some people would complain if you hanged them with a silk rope.
Posted by biomajor on 2010-12-14:
He isn't complaining about slow food, but slow service. He waited 10 minutes without being served at all.
Posted by tnchuck100 on 2010-12-14:
Another complaint that doesn't mean much unless you know WHERE this took place. "Wax Road" really doesn't help.

Jack in the Box serves moldy food
Posted by Terryw on 12/12/2010
SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA -- They served me moldy food.
They hid it deep inside the food item.
I bought a breakfast burrito. I opened it and found mold on the flour tortilla, on the part that was folded in at one end.
They thought they could hide the mold so I would eat it without noticing.
I'm lodging a complaint with the county health department.
Yes, there are pictures.

Let us know what the Santa Clara County Health Dept. has to say about it.
Posted by Anonymous on 2010-12-12:
I don't believe they intentionally hid the mold from you. From the looks of the pictures, I'd say it was more of an oversight. That doesn't excuse the fact that the establishment had moldy tortillas, but to insinuate they did it on purpose is a pretty hefty accusation.
Posted by trmn8r on 2010-12-13:
Yep, there is absolutely mold there. It may not have been intentional. Did you catch this while you were there, and ask for a replacement?

Eating out is riskier than at home. Unfortunately there isn't always the same attention to detail you would use. I do it less than I used to.
Posted by azRider on 2010-12-13:
I'd let the main office know about this. Call Jack himself. Since the big issue in 1993 where tainted meat was sold, and lives were lost, they are very proactive on getting things fixed. I think if you call the main HQ and tell them this they will jump on that franchise owner quickly. Jack in the box learned the hard way back then to watch the quality control. so today they move real fast on issues like that. but only if people call the HQ and let them know.
Posted by Skye on 2010-12-13:
OP, I was just wondering what caused you to open up and unroll the breakfast burrito in the first place? Did it have an odd taste?

Contact their corporate office, and let them know about the mold incident.

Credit Card Purchases without asking for ID
Posted by Marybakersfield on 10/15/2009
Apparently Jack's bubble head contains nothing but air which is passed down to his managers! A counterfeit credit card in my name was used to purchase approximately 40.00 worth of food at a Jack in the Box in Bakersfield, CA. When I called "guest services" I was told that Jack's policy is NOT to ask for identification when purchases of any amount are made. The "Senior agent" I talked to was totally rude, asked "...just what do you think Jack in the Box is going to do for you?" I felt like I was the criminal!!! I was basically told I was SOL until my bank reversed the charge - I was told Jack's policy was to not contest bank reversals because they (JIB) didn't ask for ID. she wouldn't supply me with the store location or phone number. When I explained about filing a police report she told me she would give me a report number to give to the police department. So because of Jack in the Box policy and a crook with an affinity for junk food....my bank and I are stuck with the footwork of trying to get back my money.

This is the exact reason why most places ask for I.D.
And, then people get all up in arms when fast food joints and the like ask for I.D. Why do they do it? For reasons like this. To prevent things like this from happening.

Sucks that it happened to you. Hope things get straightened out.
Posted by Anonymous on 2009-10-15:
Right or wrong, JiB may just be following the credit card companies' guidelines. From thetruthaboutcreditcards.com (specifically about Visa):

“Visa believes merchants should not ask for ID as part of their regular card acceptance procedures. Laws in several states also make it illegal for merchants to write a cardholder’s personal information, such as an address or phone number, on a sales receipt.”

Their was a Subway complaint a couple weeks ago, were a person got upset cause they got asked for identification. This is the reason why they should ask. In my opinion it should be mandated by law to show identification if it isn’t already.
Posted by Anonymous on 2009-10-15:
I like my Costco Amex card, as it has my picture right on it. I'm so ugly, there's no way a normal person could use it without someone noticing a huge difference between them and the picture.
Posted by Anonymous on 2009-10-15:
The merchants would rather take the occasional hit than tie up their registers verifying ID. What do they do with the ID data once they get it? How do you train 16 year old order takers what constitutes a good ID? Bank tellers have to be trained, and are equipped with (pricey) manuals that detail what every driver license from every state looks like, and how you determine it is valid. Wanna be in the driveup line while that is going on?
Posted by Eloise on 2009-10-15:
I've never been asked for my I.D. at a fast food rest. & I've lived in some big cities including Washington DC, L.A., and Tampa. I've got to agree with Ken.
Posted by Anonymous on 2009-10-15:
The whole point is, it's a double edged sword. You've got people that have an aneurysm over the fact that they get asked for their I.D. and then those that are shocked when I.D.'s aren't asked for. It sucks for the OP, yes. But, until places either enforce it or not, you can't have it both ways.
If I get asked for my I.D., fine, it's no worry for me if I have to whip it out. If I don't get I.D.'d, that's fine. I guess I'm pretty low maintence when it comes to stuff like that.
Posted by WScott on 2009-10-15:
I would prefer to be validated but my guess is that the fast food industry did a cost/benefit analysis and found occasional CC reversals (those challenged) are cheaper than cost of 100% asking for ID.
Welcome to the wonderful world of business!

Jack In The Box advertisement
Posted by Marvelyn on 09/08/2009
I will not patronize a Jack In The Box ever again. The advertisement showing people stripping off their clothes is terrible, especially for a restaurant that caters to children.

Good By Jack In The Box!!

Posted by Crown Jules on 2009-09-08:
Okay, this site really needs to have available one of those emoticons showing a head banging against a wall. Personally, I think the commercial is kind of dumb, but people are just too dang sensitive these days. The smallest thing can set someone off in an absolute tizzy.

At least Spongebob is not stripping. That would be the end of the world.

Anyone see that commercial for the lady shaver that also trims? Every time the girls in the commercial walk past a bush, that bush chnages shape to a square, an oval, circle, a straight line. It's my brother's favorite commecial.

Showing partially clothed people is not designed to sell food, it is designed to make you stay on that channel. But then again, you could go back into your cave and pull the boulder back tight, if you can't deal with the reality of today.

"Showing partially clothed people is not designed to sell food, it is designed to make you stay on that channel."

If I remember the commercial correctly, none of those people that were stripping made me want to stay on that channel. lol. I saw a lot of granny pannies.

marvelyn, idk who this jack character thinks he is. not only was the commercial tasteless but omg those people were fugly. what was he thinking using ordinary looking people anyway? made me lose my appetite. you get a very helpful from me.

Offensive Jack in the Box Commercial
Posted by Lizzie Sparrow on 05/27/2009
I'm just a slight tad disgusted with Jack-Off-In-The-Box's latest *** brainstorm of a commercial, depicting a woman in need of a friggin' tropical smoothie because she's going "street rat crazy" to combat hot flashes. It's offensive and not even mildly amusing. It clearly demonstrates that Jack is obviously a sexist pig.

I humbly offer this suggestion: that the next commercial involve some sort of Jack-Off-In-The-Box remedy for erectile dysfunction. I believe this is only fair. They need to create a new menu item for the old fart with a ***. I have just the thing: an order of "Jack Off's Deep Fried Oysters".

I even have a tag line for this item: "Cheaper than Viagra--and tasty too! For all you old men [snip]."

I suggest anyone else offended by this sexist crap boycott Jack Off In The Box. I know I will. Suck it, Jack. Now I'm really sorry that bus didn't kill you...

There is no way I'm putting that goop on anything I eat..There is no place on a juicy burger for the white stuff....Mustard is the way to go

Posted by DebtorBasher on 2009-05-28:

Posted by DRVROFRED on 2009-05-28:
Since I havn't seen the commercial yet I can only go by the ?comment? Well, as I see it SO WHAT if they show a lady needing a smoothie to combat hot flashes? I find that funny and compared to the things I've done to cool down from these power surges craving a JITB smoothie is not offensive in the least. What kind of a prude thinks this is so personal but uses some really offensive discriptions and language to retaliate? They didn't advertise using the stores napkins for monthly needs..you get the point. I think this poster is having a MAJOR menopause breakdown. Geeze, I climbed into the double door icebox (of course to reach the bags of ice)at the grocery store to cool down. I laughed about it cause it's a natural function in the advancing years. We need humor for this kind of thing to make it bearable. I want to tell OP to take a chill pill but I'm sure I would offend somehow. Can't wait to see the commercial. And I love their tacos with the fake meat in them..Yummy!

Wally,no way in heaven will I touch a basher burger..Mayo drenched lettuce? *gaging*
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-05-28:
I saw the commercial and I laughed.

Yes I'm a woman.

Offended? Hell no.

Sorry, but it's a fact... hormones and menopause do affect a woman's temperament.

There's NOTHING wrong with finding humor in the truth - nature's not always nice to us women. And sometimes laughing about it is a great way to make it less horrible.

as for your suggestion of Viagra and onion rings... That's pretty much lame. Not that men shouldn't be made fun off too, but... at least come up with an idea that's at least SOMEWHAT based in truth.

I mean the Menopause commercial directly comes from the idea that a cold drink will help "hot flashes" and that hormones play games with us.

Unless you know some really kinky guys, there's no proof of an onion ring increasing male libido.

I'm all for making commercials that find the humor in both sexes... but at least base it in something plausible.

In fact... Jack actually did that already come to think of it. They had a commercial for their chicken wings, with comments that "now men wouldn't have an excuse to go to hooters for the wings" (or something pretty close to that)

so you do have equality.
