did not receive order

I ordered slippers 10/29/03. They cashed my check 11/6/03. I called 12/16/03, which cost $4.44! They said my order would be shipped the next week. I still have not received it!

It has been since Oct. 2003 that I ordered 2 pair of moccasins from this company and STILL no shoes. They do not answer emails, and I refuse to lose anymore money to them by waiting for them to decide to answer their phone after 20 some minutes have passed. J.D. is a con-company!

If Valassis would stop taking their ads a great many people would stop losing their money. Write, telephone or e-mail them or report them to federal authorities. Just keep hounding them. Complaints to these sites I suppose help, but they don't get the job done, do they. These complaints go back five years and are they still at it? You bet - while our watchdog agencies sit on their hands and do nothing.

Ordered 10-19-03 - order not filled - check cashed!!!

CHAMPLAIN, NEW YORK -- On 10-19-03 I ordered 2 pr of slippers and as of
1-5-04 I have not received slippers but I have
received my cancelled check. I believe J D Marvel
is not a legit company and some govt agency should
look into their business practices. Also, their
phone number is not a free call! It cost me over
$10 to call some jerk who told me the call is free
and my slippers would be delivered in 10 days - what a joke!! People should beware of J D Marvel Inc. Dept. 721-109, Box3270

Missing refund

SAN ANTONIO, NEW MEXICO -- J.D. Marvel cashed our check for $48.95 for an order on 11/6/2003. When order did not arrive we called and after 31 minutes on hold (long distance) we cancelled order and requested a refund within 7 days per FTC rules. As of 1/3/2004 we have heard nothing. WE have written letter and emails to the company, FTC and the Postal Inspector. So far no action on this refund.
This company has many complaints and should not receive any business from anyone. BE AWARE.

I doubt they'll refund your money. Eventually, you'll get your merchandise you ordered and paid for. You stayed on hold for 31 minutes while long-distance charges were being assessed???!!? Idiot.

J.D. Marvel Company IS a FRAUD.....You should not add your so-called 3 cents if you don't know ALL of the facts. I STILL have not rec'd my order or the money back and it has been 2+months!

If you look back a little further, you will find some "up-dates" where people tell how they FINALLY recieved item/merchandise like 11 months later..... and yes, I assumed my conclusion was correct, but in one statement I also said that I HOPE my assumption IS correct, or else, truly, why WOULD this company still be allowed to do business??? ..hey, I've been known to be wrong ;)

Non-delivery of product

I ordered winter boots 2 months ago. They cashed my check within a few days, but never sent my boots. I tried several times to contact the company, but get no response. I see they have so many complaints against them. Everyone should go to the news to let as many people as they can know about this ripoff of a company.

I'm so tired of hearing about this company. It's always the same problem; item paid for, never arrives. I think this company must have enormous sales. Most of the products get to where they should go. Unfortunately, a few in a million will be "lost" in the mail. I believe this company does such a huge amount of business, there's bound to be some customers whose item/s are mishandled. Truly, not every company is out to rip people off. I have read other complaints that were then updated to show the company, J.D. Marvel, did, and does, reimburse it's customers for item/s paid for yet not recieved. Sorry about your crummy luck. I hope my conclusion is correct, because I really am tired of constantly seeing the same complaints agianst this company.

Maybe Roxanne P, what a name by the way, should FIND something better to do with her time than READ the complaints about this so-called company if it bothers her so much. Personally, I think Roxanne is somehow affiliated with this company or she wouldn't have to lend her comments on something she knows NOTHING about. It is a fraud company and it DOES take peoples money and they get NOTHING but heartache and trouble in return.

They take money sent in good faith ,but they do not send the product(s) ordered. They do not answer emails, or their telephone either. Biggest con going, just look at all the complaints piling up. Other buyers BEWARE of this joke called a "Company"...........

Check Cashed , No Product - 2 months

GEORGIA -- I think this company is a BIG SCAM!! Beware all of you. These "THIEVES" are based in Canada so they have a safe haven .It will be of no point to contact the NY "MAIL DROP" address with any action on their part.
I am going to contact the all the major national newspapers and the "prime time" TV media to put this on Air so their scam is known by millions here in the US.

I ordered an EAR Amp for my Father in law and they cashed the cheque as soon as they received it. Its been two months.. no shipment.

the TV and media guys are going to have fun doing an interview so everyone knows.. not just here.
May be NBC's Dateline should help.

We all should do something about these scammers (JD MARVEL). If we all contact the media ..someone will do something and they will come to light and may be we can sue them on a large scale and get them out of business..
I am going to file a complaint with all the Beaures and see what we can do next..

Better luck with everyone's shipment...

I read your review and hope you have success. Maybe all the TV stations should get this Firm's true story from you. I, myself, have written to the Competition Bureau of Canada Place du Portage. I got a return letter today, stating that they only enforce contractual disputes, and not settle any contracts or disputes. I wrote a letter to the NY Attorney General, sending a copy of that letter to J.D.. Tell me how the National Projection of J.D. works out!

took money never sent merchandise

my check was cashed Nov 7 for two pair of moccasins advertised by this company. I have not recieved the merchandise and cannot find a phone number to call. I have written to them and no response. I would not do business with them.

The same thing happened to me. Ordered and paid for slippers. Check cashed shortly after sending it. 7 mos later after many phone calls and A LOT of run around - NO refund and NO slippers!

Re: J D Marvel Products, Inc. I order a set of Bras from them in Nov,2003. Chexck was cashed 12-09-2003. Merchandise has not been received. And have been able to make contact with them. As soon as I collect some info I am turning it over to the Post Office as Mail Fraud. I'll not from them ever again. They seem to found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow since so many of us have ordered and never gotten the merchandise. Wish I had thought to check on the internet before ordering.

The same thing happened to my grandmother. She ordered $86.00 worth of merchandise as Christmas gifts. The cheque was cashed on November 30th, 2003 but she has not received any products. Buyer Beware!!

Paid for merchandise that was never received

I happen to be another person that placed an order accompanied by a check, which was cashed by this company, but I have not received the merchandise I paid for, and I would like to know what recourse I have in either getting the merchandise (3 pr. moccasins) or my money returned.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA -- Found this site when attempting to find some sort of contact address or phone number to inquire about an order which my mom did not receive. Obviously, they already cashed the check(which to me looks like the trend) & conveniently left any information off of the remaining part of the order form which was in the Sunday paper. My mom has no access to a computer & would not even know how to turn one on. She was just trying to do a little Christmas shopping from home since she is unable to get out due to her illness. This company obviously likes to take advantage of this sort of situation. Very sad!

ordered 2 pair moccasins 11/02 never received, called put on hold forever on 12/16/03. cashed check for them on11/13. This is a big rip off , do not buy from this company, anything . turn into your attorney general in your state and the better business buruea. Canadian based bunch of ripoff crooks.......... BEWARE DO NOT PYRCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
