Suede moccasins ordered October 9, 2001

CHAMPLAIN, NEW YORK -- I ordered two pairs of men's size 12 suede leather moccasins in burgundy and black. I sent you a check for $17.70 on October 9, 2001. This was check #3897 and it cleared my bank on October 22, 2001. I have yet to see any product or any correspondence from you.

I would assume you received my check on or about October 14. It has now been over 30 days since you received my order.

I am not the only one who has ordered product from you and not received it. In fact, your company name is all over the Internet with many similar problems of not receiving product. Many have been waiting longer than I have.

I would like a telephone call or a letter with a valid contact name and functioning telephone number notifying me of when this will be sent, and then I expect it to be sent on that date. I can understand backorders and similar delays but I cannot understand not notifying the customer. I will not hesitate to contact my local attorney if I do not receive some form of contact from you by December 1, 2001. You will notice that the Attorney General of Colorado is receiving a copy of this letter.

No Encryption on your website!

I am just writing to inform you that you have lost a customer due to your website not being encrypted. I recently visited the site to make a purchase and when I got to the checkout page, I checked the details of the page and noticed that your credit card info page is not secure. I don't see how you expect to get business from a website if you don't offer your customers some sort of security.

To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:

You should fix the site to make it secure.

At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.

WOOD DALE, ILLINOIS -- I, very stupidly, ordered another product from J.D. Marvel. After waiting for 6 months, they sent me the wrong product. I returned it and they still have not sent me my money back. Do not do business with this company. They cash the check as soon as they get it and we wait for months and months, if ever, to get our product. It is almost 9 months that I have been waiting for a pair of moccasins or a refund.

J.D. Marvel's reputation is abominable when it comes to shipping products. I hear they are in Canada and that's probably part of the problem when it comes to corrective action. It seems like everybody wants these moccasins of theirs, but they never receive them (or a refund). Bras and coo-coo clocks seem to be problem areas too. How the heck is this company still in business?

I do not know why you ordered another product, but that is history. Write to your attorney general. After 3 months I got my 2 pairs of moccasins after the check was cashed by J.D. marvel less than 1 week. Good luck.

the great slipper scam. I too have lost my money as of March 2004 - so the little thief is still targeting seniors and apparently operating without any interference from the public watchdogs we pay to protect us from just such scams.

finally received refund!

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI -- My experience with JD Marvel started in Aug. 2003, I sent a check and did not get my slippers.
I made a promise not to throw good money after bad on phone calls, so I sent many, many e-mail. My persistense paid off and I received my refund check last week, I guess they finally earned enough interest on my money. Be assured that I have learned a lesson and will not order from a strange company again without doing research.

I ordered two pairs of slippers on Nov. 12, 2003. I finally received one pair about 2 weeks ago. Have not received the second pair to date - Feb. 9, 2004 (three months later). I wish I had checked your website before I ordered.

The only way to get anything from this company is to constantly write, call, and complain. I got one pair of 2 shoes ordered after 4+ months. Good luck!

CHECK CASHED ORDER NEVER RECEIVED

Check sent November 6 2003. Check cashed November 17 2003. They have no problem cashing checks quickly, but I have not received the items ordered. BUYERS BEWARE!! I did a search online to get their info, came up with pages and pages of complaints of the same nature. Website of course will let you order, but has ZERO contact info. I was only able to get the contact info from my3cents.com!

SEND STERN LETTERS TO vALASSIS INSERTS BASED IN LIVONIA MI. THEY PRINT THE INSERTS FOR SUNDAY PAPERS WHERE YOU NO DOUBT SAW THE AD. IF THEY WOULD REFUSE TO TAKE MARVELS CROOKED ADS,WE'D GET SOMEWHERE WITH ALL THESE COMPLAINTS. BY THE WAY, VALASSIS KNOWS THEY'RE CROOKS AND THEY ADMIT IT. THEY MUST REALLY NEED MONEY BADLY. WONDER IF THEIR STOCKHOLDERS KNOW THEY COLLABERATE WITH THIEVES.

RENO, NEVADA -- I guess my story is pretty typical. I saw the ad in an advertising suppliment in my Sunday paper. I ordered a pair of suede slippers and they cashed the check a couple of weeks later (11/16/13). Still no slips...

Another innocent victim. It is so NOT fair with what J.D. Marvel is getting away with and all because they are a company out of Canada with different laws. They should not be allowed to have drop-ship addresses in the U.S. and not be governed by some kind of U.S. laws. Especially since they DO NOT ship orders---They only steal money. I am a victim also. They took my money back in October and still NOTHING from them.

I agree, it a shame and a disgrace. I have a letter in to my NY Attoney General. I will give him a few weeks to answer. Then I go to the Postmaser General. I feel that no matter what region a company's located in, they cannot get away with taking a customer's hard earned $$$ and not supplying the product. This is MAIL FRAUD, and is not tolerated by the U.S. Postal Service, no matter what counry a you reside in.
