Bedroom Furniture Missing Part to Keep Drawer Closed Tightly - Promises but Never Come Out

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- Bought higher end bedroom set. The dresser drawers and the drawers below the pedestal bed all had an item in drawer slide to keep the drawer closed. After a while, we noticed the nightstands did not have that same mechanism and were beginning to not close tightly. Then little by little, they actually slid open about and inch and will not stay closed.

Sales person told me to contact the manufacturer. Manufacturer told me to contact Jerome's. I went and spoke with front desk at Jerome's. Nice lady (Danielle) said she'd have service department come out. We emailed to confirm. That was over a month ago! After about 5 phone calls to Jerome's with unreturned messages to manager. Zero.

Living Room Furniture

LAGUNA HILLS, CALIFORNIA -- November 8th, 2017 we purchased $4300 in living room furniture from Jerome's in Laguna Hills. They delivered the furniture the next day in the early evening hours but there was a damaged lamp with the order. The delivery guys called a Jerome's representative who tried to give us a 10% discount, we declined the offer and they would get us a new lamp the next day.

On the 9th, we received an email from the delivery company for another customer and we were unsure if we were even getting our order. After a call to the Jerome's representative they stated our lamp would still be delivered but between the hours of 8:45pm and midnight.......who delivers at those hours? Anyway, we needed our lamp as they already took away the first damaged one. At about 11pm, the Jerome's truck came and the delivery guys brought another box into our house. The box was already open and appeared damaged. The delivery guy removed the lamp from the box and the shade looked like it had been stepped on and completely crushed. When we refused the lamp the delivery guy had this puzzled look like we should just accept the lamp. Again, we called the Jerome's representative and they stated they will have another lamp delivered.

On November 10th, we waited for the delivery and at 9pm we received a telephone call from the delivery driver who stated he might not be able to deliver a "sofa" because his partner was held up at some checkpoint or border. When we told him he was just delivering a lamp to us, he stated he called the wrong customer and he was still on his way. At 1030pm the Jerome's truck arrived and the driver gave us an undamaged lamp.

We have to say, the Jerome's staff at the Laguna Hills store was very nice but their delivery service was the worse we have ever experienced. Their delivery company needs to be completely overhauled or replaced. We will not be shopping at Jerome's again because of these problems. They did refund the delivery charge

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- I bought a sofa, for $1260.00 dollars. Right after 1 year the sofa started to fall apart. I had also purchased an extended warranty which they refused to honor. I have called the store, and the warranty department and they refused to fix or replace the sofa. Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. They do not stand behind their product.

Worst Customer Service Ever!

CALIFORNIA -- Within 2 weeks of receiving bedroom set, the bed broke! Turns out the people who came to set it up didn't fully screw in the screws properly nor did they align the parts correctly so no wonder our bed broke. Had warranty and thought no problem easy fix, WRONG! Every time I've called customer service I've been hung up on after a long wait time almost every time and given the runaround. I regret ever giving Jerome's my business and money.

Buyer Beware

I bought two sectional couches (they call them modular as you can arrange then in different configurations). They looked great and was exactly what I was looking for. I paid about $1450 for each couch. One month later the couches developed holes or sags in the cushions. Several of them to the point you would fall almost through the couch. I turned them over and look at the construction. You would not believe the level of shoddy construction. They use cheap foam with some kind of string/rope to support the foam. (No springs).

I went back to the store I bought them from (Chula Vista) and was told I could not get a refund or replacement. I would have to bring them in for repair. I borrowed a truck and took some of the pieces in and was told it would be 2-3 weeks for the repair. After 4 weeks I called back as I had not heard from them and was told nothing had been done as they had gotten lost in the system (whatever that means). Two months later they called and advised me to pick them up. I will never buy from this store and I would advise anyone to stay away from them.

Lies, Lies, And More Lies
By -

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- We saw a nice looking piece of furniture in an ad that was sent to us from the Local Jerome's furniture store so we decided to go and check it out. After we drove 40+ miles one way we got to the store and showed the sales man that all but jumped us when we walked in the door, what we were looking for in the advertisement. He stated "Oh this is a big seller everyone is getting these." So we looked all over the store and none were to be found. The sales person said "hold on let me find out about this item."

After checking with his manager on the floor the manager said that it is a new item and has not been set up on the showroom floor as of yet but it should be all set up at the end of the week and we could come in and look at it then. Well so much for the "oh it's a big seller" statement by the salesman.

We decided to come back and check in about a week or so later. Well 2 weeks had passed so we went back and checked again, and again No bed on the floor anywhere. But again the sales ads still had it in there for $699.99. Again we checked with a salesperson on the floor and they could not find it on the floor and stated it would be on the floor in a few days to a week. After waiting for about 1 1/2 months we went back again and looked for the bed still being advertised in the paper mailer and still not on the showroom floor.

When we asked a sales manager/design woman on the floor she checked in the system and stated that they show it in the ads but they did not get one to set up on their floor but it should have been there a long time ago and rambled on about something like the shipping from India or China may not have come in, and it could take another 12 weeks before they get them in. Well if they don't have the product in stock or store, why are they advertising it. I guess it's like the "We make our furniture from solid wood", yeah till you saw it in half and find out it's press board.

Leather Discoloration
By -

EL CAJON, CALIFORNIA -- We purchased a so called Leather Sectional from Jerome's. This is an Ashley's Furniture product. The couch is discoloring all over. In between in front at the tips. It looks as if they dyed the leather dark brown. We took out a warranty and of course discoloration is not included. So I contacted Jerome's and according to them it's wear and tear and the leather is rubbing against each other. Yet there's discoloration in front where the piece does not touch anything.
