Jet's Pizza

Poor Service
Posted by on
SAGINAW, MICHIGAN -- I have used Jet's Pizza numerous times since they came to town and were very pleased but on October 15, I have reason to change that opinion...

We ordered one salad and Jet bread to be delivered to our home which is a mile and a half away..
The delivery was to take 45 minutes which we had no problem with, but when the order was delivered the driver failed to deliver the salad.. We called the company and were rudely treated by the counterperson and the manager on duty who told us it would be ANOTHER 45 minutes and gave my wife a very perfunctory "sorry"..

The delivery man finally appeared a half hour later with the salad and a mumbled "um sorry"..
For a $2.50 delivery charge and a $3 tip we would expect more, considering the order was only $10...

Resolution Update 10/16/2008:
The local manager agreed to comp us a salad and bread... not much of an apology but he did call us back...

If it was that close I'd not chance it, but rather go get it myself to save the tip and hassle.

TEN BUCKS! Make your own salad...they probably don't wash their lettuce or anything anyway. Them forgetting it the first time was probably a sign.

Are delivery people supposed to ... or can they check orders before they leave the place? I'm asking because I don't know and it would seem to me it would be a lot less hassle for them in cases like this, if they took the time to check it...yes, I know they've got runs to make, but still...I think it should be a part of their job. You can't blame the delivery person for a screwed up order (Not saying that Old F is), but as a service to the customer it only makes sense for them to check it first.

That was the salad AND the jet bread.
Even so, we got shafted...

What exactly IS Jet Bread?
old fart on 2008-10-15:
I fired off an e-mail to their corporate so it will be interesting to see if they respond..

Jet bread is a square piece of cheesy garlic bread that is good when it's HOT, which it wasn't by the time we got the salad to go with it..

Fart I'll have princess make you some cheesey garlic bread. She hooked me in one bite.
old fart on 2008-10-15:
Mr. Princi... I'll take you up on that if you can get it here hot from Kentucky to Michigan..
apparently Jet's pizza can't do it going up the road a mile and A HALF...

Hey... I'll see you guys later... The debate is on and I want to see how many hollow promises these turkeys make...

Pizza delivery is a crap shoot.. When at all possible I favor picking it up myself. They did you wrong Old_fart. They should have comped you a little something.

I'm surprised they didn't give you the salad free of charge. I often get deliveries from Jet's, on those nights where I can't fathom getting back into my car, and have no intention of cooking. When they forgot the salad once, after my phone call, they sent it quickly, with no charge. They kept me as a faithful customer.

(JET's bread is awesome!!!)

OldF,a mile and a half away? You could have walked there and picked up your order in the time it took them to deliver.Plus you would have got some exercise

Never had the Jet pizza...good is it?

We just got a call from the local Jet's manager after he got the e-mail complaint from their corporate... he agreed to give us a free salad and bread...
He also made all kinds of excuses about how they run their delivery routes.. I wasn't impressed with their excuses but I like their pizza enough to pick it up myself..

Well, good, OF, justice has been served. Glad you were able to get this resolved--and so quickly too!
Principissa on 2008-10-16:
old fart, we too just pick it up ourselves. On the off chance we order a pizza, we find it easier and cheaper to get it ourselves. We just do rock/paper/scissors, and loser goes and picks it up.

Try totino's frozen pizza next time

Put my comment back or explain what rule if any it violated. This review is about salad and bread and has nothing to do with frozen pizza.

Regarding: Plymouth, Michigan location at Ann Arbor Rd. and Sheldon

I ordered delivery, tubo crust on both pizzas which either had on them. Called and spoke to the manager and she (Emily) said that i cannot have a free pizza for their mistake and claiming that i only ordered turbo crust on one pizza. I informed her that i was not asking for a free pizza and i did order turbo crust on both. I was asking for a discount on my next order. She said there is nothing she can do except put a note under my phone number to put turbo crust on my pizza. I am very disappointed with my experience. They made the mistakes and wouldn't compensate. I spent over $45 at this place of business and was treated improperly.
