LARGO, FLORIDA -- I am treasurer for local support group of [snip] a non, profit organization registered in New York state. Our title is [snip] I was trying to find a bank with free checking account since we are a low budget nonprofit group. I was told that as long as on of our signatories was a veteran we would be eligible for free checking account. I provide them with identification for one of our signatories to that effect.

To my surprise after several months a fee was added to our monthly statement. I called the bank and received no satisfaction. In fact by the time I got to the bank a week later to officially close the account they added another fee. I was never offered any explanation why the original offer was not honored. I have since put our monies in another bank.
Let's Make A Little Interest

BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA -- Chase froze my husband’s account because of an identity theft alert on his account. Chase never called or alerted my husband about the status of his account. The bank refused to allow him to make a deposit or cash any government checks. Which is apparently against the law in this situation. The bank required for him to prove his identity with social security which he did but the account remained frozen. The bank, however, continued to charge fees for all of the electronic transactions that were preset with online banking. They also considered allowing an electronic debit for 999,999,999.00. Over a week has gone by and they remain determined to collect the nsf fees that they tacked on from all of this mess before they will even consider to open a new account. Their policies don’t make sense. The customer service is appalling and I would never trust or recommend any business affiliated with Chase.2 Replies - Latest reply on 06/04/2010Add reply
WHITE PLAINS, NEW YORK -- I just want to complain about Chase Bank, Rosedale Branch in White Plains, NY.
The customer service is not professional and very unpleasant.
Every time I am go there with the company deposits I feel very unpleasant atmosphere and sarcastic comments from the cashiers. They are very slow and the waiting time has been very extended. The are very disrespectful and have no respect to the customers. I heart other people waiting on line complaining about they service.
I feel like we have here some discrimination issue.
My advise is to stay away from this branch. I just to have an account with them but no more.
Sure Miss WAMU
I had been a WAMU customer since 1997. I as were many was told that Chase would continue WAMU's practices until I learned the hard way differently.
My first experience was unexpected NSF's showing ... read full review8 Replies - Latest reply on 08/01/2010
