They are horrible. They do not want to work with you if you have trouble and are as rude and uncaring as I am reading about in these reviews.
I had 3 loans. One with Bank of America, one with Wells Fargo and one with Key. Bank of America and Wells Fargo were difficult but reasonable.
Key Bank is impossible. I was told (by them) it is because they are small and don't have all the resources as the other two banks, so can't handle problems. WOW, is that for sure. I wish I had known about this, hopefully this will save you some grief. Do your borrowing at a different bank!
Overdraft Charge Nightmare

Key bank stole $192 in over draft fees because of an archaic fund availability policy and then refused to refund any fees. This is a horrible bank and I will not be doing business with them 4 Replies - Latest reply on 03/15/2011Add reply

This bank is staffed with the most incomptent people I have ever seen in one organization. They have clearly over extended themselves into an area of banking they are not able to handle and do not understand.

Any business would regret any relationship with them -- only 4 months and I will clearly have a year+ of work to clean up their stupid mistakes.
Someone recently posted that they were told checks clear in one day. Well since Check 21 went into effect that is no longer the case in many situations. Digital images are taken of checks and funds deducted sooner then later.
The Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act (or Check 21 Act) is a United States federal law, Pub. L. 108-100, enacted into law October 28, 2003 by the 108th Congress. It took effect one year later, on October 28, 2004. The law allows the recipient of the original paper check to create a digital version of the original check—called a "substitute check," thereby eliminating the need for further handling of the physical document.
Consumers are most likely to see the effects of this act when they notice that certain checks (or image of) are no longer being returned to them with their monthly statement even though other checks are still being returned. Another side effect of the law is that it is now legal for anyone to use a computer scanner to capture images of checks and deposit them electronically, a process known as remote deposit.
