10 Piece Bucket Special
By -

APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA -- My daughter and I went to KFC to get the 10 piece special of half original and half grilled. We went through drive-thru and 12 miles later discovered at our destination that we got our ten pieces but original and extra crispy. Well I left message with KFC online with my phone # and email. And also went back that night to the store and of course they didn't put receipt in with chicken so I got the runaround from a so-called manager. Now I get all kinds of junk email from KFC to take surveys or buy other products to get possible free chicken. From now on my chicken comes from the grocery store and make it myself (mine better anyway).

Poor Customer Service Systems
By -

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI -- This is almost too annoying to post. I stopped for lunch today at a local KFC here in KC. On the back of the receipt, there is both phone and web contact information to do a survey. While I was generally satisfied with my food and service, it is this survey that was maddening.

To begin the survey, you must place the store # in a box. The store # on the receipt clearly says store # 018...nothing more - nothing less. But the automated survey says this is invalid - store codes are 4-7 digits. Calls to the store go unanswered. As I call a national customer service line, which I have on my speaker phone as I type - is now 22 minutes on hold and counting. This is customer service? Don't promote a chance to win on a survey if you can't deliver the survey!

No Gloves
By -

TUCSON, ARIZONA -- To anyone that goes into a fast food restaurant and complains about them not wearing gloves, here is a reality check for ALL of you. Half of you complaining about this don't even wash your own hands after touching the dirtiest thing any of us touch: money! It is laced with cocaine, dirt, germs, and other such diseases. You pay, sit and wait for your food, then eat without thinking about washing your hands. Now, I would rather someone make my food without gloves knowing that all they have been touching is the food on the line, than eat after touching the dirtiest thing: again MONEY!

So in conclusion, don't complain until you have the right! Meaning unless you wash your hands after touching money every time you go out to eat, don't put your two cents in because you don't have any!!! And some people do have allergens to latex and what are gloves made of??? We are required to wash our hands every hour on the hour, those of us that work with food. If you have that big of an issue with this then here is a tip: DON'T EAT AT FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS!!!

Chicken Scam of the Century!!
By -

CALIFORNIA -- What a scam!!! KFC has done it once again. They teamed up with Oprah to try & tempt our newly found nutrition side of life & offered our US over-stressed & underpaid citizens a "free" meal of their new Grilled Chicken (legs & thighs only of course!!). Well, as everyone knows that attempted to redeem their coupons for this scrumptious meal consisting of one leg, one thigh, 2 individual sides and a famous KFC biscuit, that not one KFC, at least here in So Cal is honoring these coupons.

What sort of deal is this or shall I say "scam"?? Did Oprah really speak with the KFC CEOs to arrange this or did her publicist talk to a representative from KFC & make this decision on their own?? KFC, is not only one of the highest priced fast food franchises around but they also give you less for your money than almost any of the other franchises that sell chicken at least again here in So Cal. All I can say is I'm going to spend my hard-earned lunch money at El Pollo Loco next time around and I hope all of you will too.

Great Bridge Store Staff

GREAT BRIDGE, VIRGINIA -- While visiting the Great Bridge store on April 26 at 6:45 pm I waited 20 minutes behind a young lady to place my order. This lady had ordered $40 of food and had been waiting 45 minutes. She finally asked for her money back because she could wait no longer. The store manager refused to refund her money and called her a **. I then chose not to order anything as did others and left the store.

The next day I went in to get a phone number for a manager and waited 10 minutes past the opening time before they unlocked the doors. Several customers were there as well. When the customers tried to order food they were told the food would not be ready for another 15 minutes and then left. I contacted the regional manager and she claimed she would check into it and call me back. Never did she apologize for the lack of customer service. She has still not called back. I then went up the street to the Farm Fresh Grocery Store, purchased great chicken from nice people for less money. Go figure.

KFC Restaurants and Corporate Not Customer Friendly
By -

MEMPHIS,, TENNESSEE -- I used to frequent 4 different KFCs. As of June this year I vowed to never visit another one ever again, despite the fact that they are the only chicken franchise my whole family eats. My main three reasons are: reason one: the order fillers cannot count. My paid for order and 15 pieces had 9. Reason two: the order fillers do not know the parts of a chicken. The nationally advertised leg and thigh only bucket had wings and breasts== despite the fact that when I asked the order taker if I could get more legs than thighs and was told they could not substitute.

Reason three: I have called the corporate phone number on my receipts 3to 4 times within the months of April and May to complain. It is automated. You are constantly punching in #s on your phone. I answered yes to being called back by the store managers==none ever called. (I have yet to find a customer service website to write). In other words the company hire dummies and liars with no people skills and obviously corporate does not care to hear about their lousy service skills. So what does that say about their integrity and responsibility to their customers? I can and will be frying my own chicken. Like KFC's attitude, my family will just have to get used to it and like it!

Horrible Buffet
By -

SARASOTA, FLORIDA -- Wondered why parking lot was empty when all other restaurants in vicinity were packed. Order 2 buffets. $17.10. No chicken. Had to ask for it, and then they only put out 3 pieces at a time. Only one kind of chicken. Other KFC buffets give a choice. Many of the trays were empty. Have no idea what should have been in them.

Had to ask for biscuits. Food was cold. Tables not cleaned. Employees (definitely not workers) stood around and didn't pay any attention when I was trying to get another plate. Cashier disappeared for a while. Didn't know who, if anyone, was the manager or I would have complained to him. I think I should get my money back. This was sure not worth $17.10. Since the buffet started at 4PM trays should have been full, food should have been hot. Employees should pay attention to customers!

EMPLOYEE RUDENESS
By -

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA -- I am writing about your establishment at 3264 West Hammer Lane, Stockton, Ca. 95209. On June 5, 2004 my husband and I went to your business at address above and your employee; ** was so rude, she has no customers skills whatsoever. This girl should not be allowed to work the drive-up window in any way. I will never go back to your establishment again. My husband and I asked what the side dishes were with the 4 piece meal, her response was rudely said "look it's on the menu window."

When we drove up to pay for the order; my husband told her that may be for future references she could tell someone, for those people that cannot read. We both read well, he was just making a point. She went off, and continued to be so rude, if I was manager there I would have made sure she was let go. She never apologized in any way, continued to go off with her little attitude. For future employees, please pick them better. Upset consumer in California!

NO Chicken

PHILDELPHIA 19114, PENNSYLVANIA -- I still can't believe it, two days later, I stopped in this Philadelphia, Torresdale location on a Sunday afternoon at 4:30 PM, and they had no chicken. When I walked in I could tell that the customer in front of me was upset about something, but I did not know what until I approached the counter and asked for an 8 piece bucket of chicken meal, to go, they said they didn't have any. "OK I'll have the extra crispy." They, again said that too would not be ready for 20-25 minutes. Has anyone ever heard of a chicken place not having chicken, especially, like my family likes to do, have an early, easy Sunday meal.

Best KFC Around!

FARMINGTON, NEW YORK -- I am an employee at the KFC in Farmington, NY. I went on this website and all I see are horrible KFC reviews. If any of you live close to the KFC I work at, I would highly recommend you go there instead.

Whenever I work at the register, I always provide the best customer service possible, and most of my co-workers also treat customers very well. If there is a problem, we immediately fix it and try to "make up" for the mistake. The managers always agree with the customer, because we are told that "the customer is always right." Our chicken is always fresh, and if it's not, we are told to throw it out.

I also saw reviews saying that the drive-through gets older chicken, not at this KFC. We put our oldest chicken on the top (we are told to take chicken off of the top first, drive-through and front counter). When a customer orders 4 tenders, I always charge them for 2 tenders twice rather than 3 tenders and 1 tender, because it is cheaper that way. If a customer ends up waiting for their food because we were lacking something, we always offer a drink/cake/cookies. We truly do care about our customers and we would love to see more of you come in! :)
