DALTON, GEORGIA -- A few years ago I purchased a large package of what was suppose to be quality ground Chuck at Krogers and when I opened the package up and removed the meat, there was a "Red Plastic wrapper" that had been cut in half and you couldn't see the package until you turned the meat over. This was a package of the cheapest ground beef that you can buy cut in half. Krogers meat dept had forgotten to throw the wrapper away before repacking it in their own meat dept wrapper and was selling it for quality Ground Chuck!! I swore that I would never buy meat from them again.
Well, this weekend, I broke my rule and bought an expensive SIRLOIN TIP ROAST from them. It weighed 4 lb and when it was cooked in the crock pot for about 4 hrs, it had already shrunk to about 2 lb!! THEY HAVE GOT TO BE ADDING A TON OF WATER TO THEIR MEAT and this time, I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!!!
Poor Customer Service

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MICHIGAN -- If you can smell fish when you walk into this store, it's not a good sign, because of this I choose not to purchase any meat at any Kroger.

Why is this store always dirty?
Every time weather it's day or night, the floors are dirty, and there's always inventory in boxes sticking out in the isles, loose items stock piled in carts waiting to be put away, Always! It seems to be getting worse.
I never saw this when it was Farmer Jack. It's only out of convenience, that I come to this store for milk usually, however I am more happy to shop else where, now that I have found a better place to shop and it is not as convenient, but its clean, and it does not smell like old rotting fish.
ARLINGTON, TEXAS -- As a veteran I have bought nutrition bars at Kroger for our overseas troops for several years. My purchases generally include one hundred or more of a specific brand. The store managers who work the day shift know me and approve my large quantity purchases. I recently decided to go earlier in the morning to make my purchases. The night manager at the Arlington, Texas Lamar store (not a real smart guy) implied I was a liar when I told him I was purchasing the bars for my veteran's group. Having spent over $50,000 at Kroger over the last several years this was the last straw. I was one of Kroger's best customers until this dummy ended it.2 Replies - Latest reply on 07/14/2013Add reply

I just bought 12 pounds of split chicken breasts on sale for 99 cents a pound. I noticed the packing felt heavy, so I weighed it on a very accurate scale and Wow 1.9 pounds. I'm 71 on fixed income and until I find out how to cook the packing I can't afford it. 2 Replies - Latest reply on 05/18/2013Add reply

FORT WAYNE, INDIANA -- On 03 March 2013, my wife and I stopped at the Kroger store located at 6002 St. Joe Rd. Fort Wayne, IN. We were visiting the store to buy a gift card for a family member's 50th birthday. We wanted to ... read full review5 Replies - Latest reply on 08/16/2013
Kroger has been remodelling and expanding. That is great but what I'm annoyed of, they have more space alloted to their grocery carts than the shoppers car. I thought since they have expanded their store they will have more parking spaces. I circled several time to find a parking space but can't find anything. I ended up buying items at another store.

LOCATION HIGHLAND AND POPLAR.
DOUGLASVILLE, GEORGIA -- Every time I come into this store everyone is so kind and helpful. Today which is my favorite day because it is Senior Citizen discount day and not a lot of stores offer that. I was having trouble finding an item that I usually get on a regular basis and I ask a young lady to help my find it while she was in the middle of stocking the shelf, I can't remember her name but she had really short hair and glasses, it was around 3 p. m., She went out of her why to go into the back of the store and try to locate the item, I was about to loose hope because she was gone for a few minutes, but low and behold she returned with them item. I did expect her to come back at all because most young kids today don't care about the customers that much. She asked me if there was anything unless I needed help with and I told her no I think I have found everything else I was shopping for and I told her thank you and she replied My pleasure which really put the icing on the cake for me.

She was just a pleasant young lady. I definitely will return to this Kroger because of the experience today.
I had a great experience at Kroger on Lewis and Clark parkway. The produce manager was very helpful and everyone seemed very customer first. The whole department looked great, alot better than it has in the past. Add reply

COLLIERVILLE, TENNESSEE -- The purpose of this review is to compliment several employees at the Kroger store location on Houston Levee in Collierville, Tennessee. It should be SOP that employees are courteous and treat customers with respect but unfortunately this does not always happen. I was in Kroger yesterday and two employees I believe are an asset to Kroger. Their names are RHonda and Queen. RHonda was the checker and not only was she very friendly she went out of her way to help me with my groceries. Queen offered assistance to transport my groceries to the car. I am more than capable of toting my own purchases but the point was the service was offered. In my 20+ years of shopping at Kroger this has only happened twice which is really inexcusable. The other time was last year and the offer was made by a former Schnuck's employee. By the way Schnucks was constantly lauded for their customer service and deservingly so. The employees at the Houston Levee location, for some reason, have a better handle on customer service than the Byhalia location with the exception of Robert who has on more than one occasion gone out of his way to help me. I do think the employees at the Byhalia location need to take a page out of the customer service book from their counterparts on Houston Levee. Finally, these ladies are a credit to the Kroger Company.

ALLEN, TEXAS -- I went to Kroger yesterday and bought some boars head bologna.

they DID NOT GIVE ME WHAT I ORDERED AT THE DELI and they over-charged
I ask for the advertised bologna and at that time I told the girl behind the counter that it was not the advertised one. SHE TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY WHEN I gave them my card at the check out counter the price would change.
Well it not only did not change when I got home they charged me. 50 cent more than the price posted at the counter. I am through with this store.
I know that there are others in my area and I just hope they are more responsible than the one I have used for years.
