Disgraced because I am Female

LAKELAND, FLORIDA -- This starts with me searching for a birthday gift for myself from my fiancee. I was told to search for a new car for my birthday, I search the internet find the perfect car at a good price in LAKELAND FL, now keep in mind this 3hrs. from our home. I am questioned by my fiancee are you sure this is the one you want I said positively. We travel to lakeland to purchase the car everyone was very courteous and nice, we leave with the car that day and are told to return the following day to sign the papers. I am totally thrilled with the car so he signs the papers the next day, they also talk him into almost 5,000.00 extra insurance I was not happy with this because I felt they had taken advantage of him because he is french Canadian and totally did not understand. the deal is done so the following day in Bartow I have an unfortunate accident hit a pothole caused significant damage to the vehicle. We return the following day to the dealership to report the accident because we felt the insurance he had purchased on the vehicle would cover the towing tire etc. well much to our surprise the insurance was useless. Also the nice courteous people we dealt with were rude and totally out of control. The first comment made to me was Only a woman would wreck a car in the first24hrs. of ownership if that was not bad enough the finance manager called me ignorant not once but tic and told me to getthe hell out of his office and off the property. To say the least I was devastated I cried I have never been treated so disrespectful. To make matters even worst to this day the manager Greg Balasco will not take my calls and no kind of apology has been made.

to often they push these extended warranties knowing they cover nothing. what about the regular vehicle coverage? wouldn't that cover the damage?
Venice09 on 08/24/2011:
Have you read the policy? If not, do it now. See for yourself exactly what it covers. At least then you'll know where you stand.

If someone spoke to me or treated me that way, the last thing I'd do is cry. I know that's easy to say, but you can't let people like that know they're getting to you. Let them know those tactics won't work.

If you find out the damage is covered under the warranty, and the contract is in your fiancee's name, he's going to have to fight to get them to honor it.

If the damage is not covered, you should check your own insurance to see if it's covered there.

Venice09 has the right idea. Read the details within the contract.

Let us know how things turn out.

Best of luck.
