SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- My dad used to work at Levitz in the 70's. I remember him mentioning they would periodically, (every month maybe?) fire the bottom two sales people. His blood pressure was through the roof. Eventually he was falsely accused of stealing someone else's sale and fired. When they found out the truth they tried to hire him back. He wisely declined. I guess the point is that it would be difficult to expect good customer service from a company like that. I know 30 years ago seems like a long time, but from the reviews here, I imagine things haven't changed much there.
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- Despite bad reviews on this site, we discovered a company on the mend. Their delivery was extremely prompt, its product, a beautiful couch arrived in perfect condition. We are very happy with the company, and I would say that they have pulled their socks up.
BRONX, NEW YORK -- What a joke, I wish I would have seen this site before. On 11/25, my boyfriend and I ordered a bedroom set and was told we had a choice of three delivery dates within 2 weeks. We choose and date and then not even receive a phone call, but a letter saying that now the date has been pushed back to Feb. 2006! We are now without a bedroom set and very upset. I called their customer service department and got nowhere. Does anyone have contact info for the president of this company? We want a full refund!
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- I have been writing and calling to Levitz Furniture for over a year trying to get extended warranty service on the leather service I purchased back in 2001. I purchased a 7 year extended warranty and as of yet have still not been able to get a phone call back of service on my sofa. This is the worst company ever and I will be filing with the Better Business Bureau and I am in the process of filing a claim with the Small Claims Court in my area. BUYER BEWARE!!!
