NA, CALIFORNIA -- I found a quick and easy fix for LG knobs that have cracked (model #lrg30357st) and cheap too!! First remove one of the knobs, take it with you to the hardware store. Look for a spring clamp that will fit (3/8" is what I used). Remove tabs if it has any. I found if you find a socket it will slide onto tightly will make this easier. Squeeze it with a pair of pliers to brake off the tabs, one at a time works best.
Next remove the two screws that hold the knob together, slide the spring clamp into center hole, then force back plate back on carefully making sure screw holes are aligned. Turn knob over using a larger socket place the shaft in socket and push parts together. When replacing screws tighten each screw a little at a time so you don't strip them out, I hope this helps it worked for me.
LAKE ORION, MICHIGAN -- I initially called to get some questions answered, but was immediately told there was nothing you could do. I asked for a supervisor and sat on hold for 30 minutes only to be transferred to home appliances! They then transferred me to home electronics and again back to where I started. No one in customer service was polite, nor helpful and apparently are not comfortable working the phone system in place.

By time I actually got to a supervisor she was rude and not at all helpful either. All I wanted was to know why I had to pay more (I already purchased the phone) to get a MANUFACTURER DEFECT that is under warranty (not in any way my fault nor responsibility) fixed by the company whose fault it is! How can you expect return customers when you do nothing to appease them.
All I wanted was a shipping label. I was not offered a discount, coupon, apologies or anything. Not to mention once I do pay to turn it in, I will only get a refurbished phone back, not even a new one! Unbelievable!
All 5 range knobs have broken in last 2 years ...Last week my son thought the gas was off but due to broken knob gas was was still on. I came home and had to turn off gas from gas main until I found the problem and aired out the premise. I am a plumber and knew what to do right away. I am afraid some one else would have not been as lucky. Knobs are flawed and dangerous... 1 Replies - Latest reply on 07/28/2013Add reply
I purchased an LG dishwasher in 2012. The dishwasher is still under warranty. Technicians have attempted to repair 8 times now. Last technician advised that it was un-repairable and should be replaced. LG will not replace it. LG will not take honor the warranty. Will never purchase another LG product or another LG product rebranded by another company. Add reply

NAVARRE, FLORIDA -- In 2005, I preordered an LG French Door refrigerator. At the time, they were the only consumer electronic company with this type of refrigerator that did not contain the ice maker on the upper door. I preferred this because I need the extra space in the frig. From the day that the frig was delivered to my new home in March 2006, I've had issues.

1) The circuit board for cooling was replaced under warranty three times - but not without a lot of effort from the company who sold it to me.
2) My ice maker has died completely.
3) I have many interior parts that have simply worn out and have broken.
I should have followed my intuition and purchased an American made frig.

MISSISSAUGA ONTARIO -- Makes LOUD noise due to defective rollers. Warranty expired and tried taking it apart myself-no problem. However the LG parts department will NOT sell me the parts...I need 4 Rollers. They are forcing me to hire their service people and to top it off I have to wait a full 7 days. Kenmore, Whirlpool and several others will sell me parts bu LG ( Life's Good) will NOT. They should change their name to LS ( Life's Sh*t). I will NEVER buy LG anything ever again!1 Replies - Latest reply on 06/07/2012Add reply
HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA -- I purchased a French Door LG Refrigerator and the rubber seal around the french doors keeps breaking and causing difficulties with opening and closing the refrigerator. I complaned aboit this issue in 08/11 and the part was not covered and I had to replace the rubber seal myself for $60. I called LG again about the same problem and they asked me to fax in my receipt to see if the warranty could be extended so that a technicisn could come out for no cost, but it was denied. The representative informed me that I can pay $89 for one of their technicians to come out to diagnose the problem. Since I continue to have this same problem, I do not feel I should have to pay their technicoan $89 to come out. I feel that it is an manufacturer design problem. I am going to the Better Business Bureau. This is a shame. I paid a lot for this refrigerator.1 Replies - Latest reply on 06/05/2012Add reply
We bought an LG dishwasher and have been unhappy since almost day one! The problem is the design. There's these little wheels that continuously pop off and makes the racks go off track. Try putting these back on after the racks are loaded w dishes and you can't even see where to put them on. That's after you have to lift the bottom rack to find the darn things once they pop off. It's an everyday annoyance to load and unload the dishwasher. We've had new wheels and new racks sent to us that did absolutely nothing to solve the problem.

Just called LG today and each step up I went in the process I got someone even more unknowledgeable and unwilling to help than the one before. After speaking w three different people including 2 in "Executive" Services I got absolutely nowhere and am now more frustrated than before. What kind of company has the saying " Life's Good" in their advertising and could have not only a poorly designed product but customer service that is even worse. Trust me- you do not want to deal w a company like this. Will absolutely never buy another LG product!
Customer Service and parts replacement is horrible. Have been waiting for almost (3) months to get a replacement door for my microwave that isn't broken or damaged. This was a warranty issue. I have had (4) doors come in broken, dented and/or cracked! Have tried unsuccessfully numerous times to get this problem resolved through Customer Service. Last night I spent almost an hour on hold and still hung up with no resolution to the problem. They need someone who knows how to speak English !
I will never buy another LG product and will inform everyone of what I have been put through.
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- My LG Dryer is not even 3 years old and now my dryer is cracked and I just don't understand why it did that. The piece that was cracked came off the other day so now I have a hole in the front of my dryer. I have to replace the drum. There is nothing wrong with the anything else except that it never really dried the clothes like it said it did but I have to keep it until I an afford another dryer but I will not get another LG.1 Replies - Latest reply on 02/09/2012Add reply
SMYRNA, GEORGIA -- When remodeling a kitchen and laundry room, we selected LG appliances. Within 2 years the motor in the Dishwasher died. At the same time my mother was terminally ill in the hospital. I made the mistake of having the motor replaced, which ultimately cost almost as much as a new machine.

The ice maker in the Refrigerator/Freezer works intermittently. Especially in the winter we have to constantly turn it off and restart it to encourage it to continue making ice. No ice now for over 3 weeks as the usual techniques do not work.
The washing machine is beginning to show a leak which I find ominous in light of my previous experience. I will never purchase LG again.
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NEW JERSEY -- I have just bought an LG Optimus V cellphone, & it is going back.
How this piece of junk gets 5 stars in reviews, I have no idea.
The on screen keyboard is the worst I've ever used.
