Bad Quality Products/horrible Customer Service

Rating: 1/51

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- The quality control department must not exist. I have received cheap and damaged items and have never been credited when sent back, so basically they take your money but you receive nothing but a headache and more shipping costs. I have had items sent to me with stones missing. Any time they have promised a free item to be sent with a purchased item it never came. If you call customer service you will be on hold for at least 20 minutes and when they finally talk to you.

They are rude and condescending. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told that there was not one available. They really do not care about you even though they pretend. Once they get your credit card on file the ripoff begins. It is all a big scam. BEWARE. I have turned them into the BBB and am working with my credit card company to recoup some of the money they stole from me.

Company Response 02/05/2015:

Your feedback in regards to quality of items is very important to us and I would love an opportunity to speak with you about it further. We value your business and would like an opportunity to make things right!

Never Will I Shop With Them Again

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- I purchased 5 sterling silver chains and was told 5 to 7 business days for delivery. Well, the 5-7 days came and went so I decided to give C.S. a call. I told them that I had not received anything. I was given the tracking no and called my local post office. The post office told me that they were delivered on a specific date. I have thieves in my neighborhood so I called back to cs and told them that my package had been stolen.

The extremely rude hispanic agent made me feel like I was trying to get some free chains (really???). He was babbling on and said "oh, it looks like we only have 2 of the 5 chains in stock". I was like I am not paying for only 2 chains. He was rude and unprofessional. I said "forget it" and just credit the money back to my credit card. Well, it is now 12/18, and I am still waiting for that credit to be back on my card from 05/18. Shady business practices.

Almost All Stones Are Glued Pieces and Not in Description of Item
StarEmpty StarEmpty StarEmpty StarEmpty StarBy -
Rating: 1/51

Most of the jewelry items received have pieces of stones glued together and this is not marked in item description. Like the item: Aqua Terra Costa Quartz, Tanzanite 14K RG Over Sterling Silver Ring TGW 21.94 cts., the main stone is consists of two pieces, the upper and lower and they are glued together. Nothing in the description states that this is a doublet or triplet ring, yet it is a doublet.

Company response comment is incorrect as I called the number at 1-877-899-0078 and they could not help me either when I gave them a few of the items by number that I had purchased and asked them to read the description in item and tell me where it says anything about the item having a doublet or triplet stone and they agreed, none of them stated this in the item description. Guess the customers are all liars never Liquidation Channel/Shop LC. Please be warned, when things are cheap, most likely there is a reason and with a deceptive company. Buyer beware.

Jewelry Items Have Stones That Are Glued Together

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- I have purchased many items from them and always noticed that the edges of the stone were rough. I looked at most of the items and there was a line around the center of the stones, and looked more closely through a loupe and saw that the stones were two pieces just glued together. This was not stated in the item description. Very deceptive. Easy to glue pieces together and raise the carat weight when there are multiple stones just glued together. Now I doubt the stones are even real gemstones or if any of the items are even solid sterling silver.

Company Response 09/30/2017:

We do apologize that you are not satisfied with your purchases and would love to speak with your further regarding the stones. All of our gemstones are genuine stones unless otherwise stated in our product details. We do sell some doublet/triplet stones, but these are identified in the product details for those stones. Please contact us at 1-877-899-0078

Cheap Jewelry

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- We bought a sterling silver ring set with simulated diamond on their rising auctions. I assumed that simulated diamond means CZ. I got the ring pretty quick however the main stone fell out the second day. I took it to our jeweler to have it repaired. The "Simulated Diamond" was just glass and the ring was not sterling silver. He could not tell what the mystery metal was but definitely not sterling silver and was not worth repairing. I found the exact same ring set on a website called WISH. The same "sterling silver simulated diamond" ring set cost only $1.00 plus shipping from China on the WISH website.

I found a few other rings they sell on the Liquidation Channel's rising auction on the WISH website as well. Apparently they are ordering this cheap stuff from China, putting this ridiculous "estimated retail value" on it and selling them as authentic jewelry. I also found out they have a lawsuit against them for deceptive trade practices. I do not know what kind of jewelry they sell on their Live TV show but the stuff in their rising auctions is just crap they got from China.

Company Response 08/03/2017:

Hi,

We did receive your feedback and we are more than happy to further explain the issue in more depth on regards to what is going on. Where we receive our products and what the differences are. Fake Jewelry
StarEmpty StarEmpty StarEmpty StarEmpty StarBy -
Rating: 1/51

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- I spent over $300.00 on "sterling silver" gemstone rings. Out of the 24 rings I bought only 6 were sterling silver. The rest were a mystery metal. Gemstones were synthetic or glass. On one "opal ring" the opal was resin with glitter in it. Keeping in mind that Shoplc does not make the jewelry they just sell it however they go by the suppliers' description. They do not authenticate anything. I also found about 7 of the same rings they sell with an estimated value of a $100.00 or more for only $3.00 each. "Platinum over sterling silver" items are fake. Gemstones fake. Stay away unless you just want it and don't mind paying 50 times what it's actually worth.

Product received was not as described or pictured on website

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- Received string of Keshi pearls that I won in an online auction. The pearls are extremely low quality without luster and are garishly painted -- not at all as pictured on the website. Customer service offered to refund my money if I returned them but this is not the point. The point is to want to warn potential customers of this deceptive business practice. The picture and description indicated colored Keshi pearls. I did not see a note that they are artificially painted in unnatural patterns and colors. There are lovely colored Keshi pearls around and I have previously purchased pearl necklaces from the Liquidation Channel that I wear all the time.

Apparently things have changed. These pearls (if they are even pearls) are garishly painted in terrible swirl patterns. The colors look like cheap and chipped nail polish and the paint is an uneven, poorly done job at that. I would be embarrassed to give this to a child to wear. It is made in China and it should have stayed there. Extremely disappointed in Liquidation Channel. Product is not as described. There is no way that this product would have sold retail for more than a few dollars at best, hardly the $100 in the auction label. This is just plain bad business.

Company Response 09/06/2016:

Good afternoon my name is Karen Gottner, a Supervisor for LC Customer Service. We were very sorry to hear about your disappointment with your recent purchase. We do our very best to provide high quality items at low prices and do purchase from vendors throughout various parts of the world. Keshi pearls are not symmetrical in size or color. They are generally dyed but they are not painted. While one set may appear one way the exact item number may appear slightly different whether they be lighter or darker in color, size, etc. The dying process may have affected this set in particular causing the look of the unnatural pattern mentioned. Our customer's satisfaction is priority. I assure you there is not been any intent nor was there any, to deceive you or any of our customers. We do offer a 30 day warranty against all damage or defective items received. As you stated you have received many items including pearls from us you were very happy with. We do value you as a customer and hope you do allow us the opportunity to resolve this for you.

Nothing but Gorgeous Items

AUSTIN, CALIFORNIA -- I have shopped with LC on and off for a long while but started shopping again these last 6 months. I have purchased purses, rings, pendants, necklaces you name it I bought it. The purses were lovely however one wasn't what I anticipated and the return was smooth and quick. ALL my jewelry has been spot on. I am selective, as most people should be when buying something like jewelry, and have had nothing but gorgeous items come my way. I have has to place a couple calls to customer service because an order I did was "stuck" online. They are always helpful and manage to fix the issue ASAP.

I saw a ring on TV. I wanted it but couldn't order right at that moment so I called in later. It appeared to be sold out in my size however my agent looked around and finally found one. He didn't make me feel any kind of way. He just did his job and did it well. Love the LC. Y'all keep up the good work. Oh also I spent hours looking at other sites and channels to compare prices. LC has them all beat and usually beat by a lot of carat weight haha.

Company Response 09/06/2016:

Good afternoon my name is Karen Gottner and a Supervisor for Customer Service at LC. I wanted to thank you for taking the time and providing your feedback. I'd also like to say thank you for your patience regarding the technical issue that caused your order to be in stuck authorization status. I am so happy we were able to resolve this for you and you were satisfied. Have a great day and thank you for shopping LC.

Sleeping beauty turquoise authenticity
StarEmpty StarEmpty StarEmpty StarEmpty StarBy -
Rating: 1/51

AUSTIN, TX -- I have been looking at sleeping beauty turquoise jewelry at different websites. The mine closed in 2012. No mord being mined. I see that other TV shopping channels have VERY limited inventory of sleeping beauty jewery or gemstones. LC (liquidation channel ), appears to have unlimited supplies of whst other jewelry channels have very little of. Jay King, who mines gemstones himself & has been in thd business for decades is offering mosaic sleeping beauty (tiny pieces glued onto a backing) because finding large stones is getting expensive.
I trusted their products but now I'm not sure their sleeping beauty is authentic,
After reading comments from other customers I'm not comfortable about ANY of their jewelry.
I don't know if there is any method of authentication for origin of turquoise. If it doesn't come
fom Globe, AZ, it's not sleeping beauty turquoise.
