BURLINGTON -- Myself and a friend had gone to the Mandarin restaurant in Burlington. We had not gone in quite some time and were excited to see how things had changed and how the food would be. I was told they had new ownership or management and the service was better. Unfortunately, I found quite a bit hair cooked into my chicken and asked the waiter to take it away. He looked at it for a while before walking away without saying anything. Then the manager came over and said 'I'm sorry' about five time then walked away. That was all he said literally. I wanted to hear that the staff was wearing hairnets and the hygiene was excellent but this was a single mistake.
Instead, he said 'I'm sorry' in broken English five times and walked away. Obviously, we couldn't finish eating and decided to leave. I was very disappointed with how the situation was handled. All I wanted to hear was that it was an isolated incident and that it would never happen again, but all I got was dismissed. I know that this kind of thing happens at restaurants but it was the handling of it that upset me. I can say I will not go back and will have to find another Chinese buffet to attend. Please beware.
