Just try getting someone one the 1-800 phone line to schedule repairs - I dare you.
No matter what time of day you call, you will always get the "high call volume" warning. And you will wait at least twenty minutes (my personal limit for being stuck on hold).
Obviously they are too cheap to properly man their customer service function.
I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG APPLIANCE AS LONG AS I LIVE. T-ERE IS NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THEIR UNITS AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT.
I have owned a Maytag neptune for over 4 years now. The unbearable stench simply will not go away. After ton of calls to Maytag, that clean with chlorax/water is a bunch of junk. Also, when the washer rinses and spins it goes all over the room. The water never drains, and even just a tiny bit of any HE detergent suds it up and it stops. Never ever purchase a neptune.
I purchased a Maytag Front Loader washer Series 3000 over one year ago and now the bearings need replacement. I called a service guy and he quoted the repair to be $1,100 almost $400 dollars more of what I paid for the washer.
Do not buy Maytag, bad quality and the company doesn't back up their products. I read the reviews online and the washer had excellent reviews. But let me tell you, the washer is not worth $200.
I had a Maytag over the stove microwave, that for no reason shorted out and burned down my house. We were not home, so it was not even in use. It started on fire and I had cabinets above the microwave, so the cabinets caught on fire, and there it went. My home total loss.
People who are trying to get satisfaction from Maytag? Whirlpool purchased Maytag sometime ago, that is why you do not get anywhere with Maytag. They don't care. Call Whirpool.
