I have patronized Mimi's many times and had a pleasant experience. I drive 60 miles to eat at this restaurant. I was there two days ago, and the menu had changed. Service was OK. But the Cobb Salad that I had so much enjoyed looked as if it had been through a paper shredder; the presentation was horrible. All ingredients were mixed together. With this menu, I will not return. Such a waste. Add reply

ARLINGTON, TEXAS -- I have eaten there and had a pleasant experience the first time and planned on frequenting often, but will never go back even if they offered multiple free meals. We told the lady at the door we would be waiting outside because as usual there was no place to sit and wait. We were sitting in the out door sitting where other people were waiting for there name to be called. We went in to make sure they were continued to be aware that we were out there and were told 3 times "no problem". We finally went in to stand because it had been 45 minutes to an hour -we were told an original 15-20 minute wait. No surprise, we had been skipped, but instead of just seating us the manager decided to argue with me that the outer seating areas were for seated customers even after I explained to him that we were told that it was fine and had actually checked back in to make sure we were not bumped. If he had stated that he was sorry for the you defers ding I would have stayed and spent my money there but arguing with the customer is the best way for me not to go there and spend my hard earned money. I will tell everyone I know about my experience and will never go back there.Add reply

The restaurant itself is spotless, restrooms always clean and well stocked and you can see into a beautifully clean kitchen!
This place is unbelievable!! We have taken our hearing assist dogs there and have always been made welcome and we weren't shuttled off to a corner somewhere!
Starlord had the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings tonight and I had the equivalent of a French Dip, it was called a Classic Beef Dip w/fries, OMG was it good, and neither of us could eat more than half, so we brought the rest home for lunch tomorrow. Not too shabby for $30... including a nice tip!
Keep up the good work Mimi's and PLEASE, get a restaurant open in Olympia, Washington, we're moving there soon!
I went to Mimi's Cafe along with 7 friends, after calling, as is suggested for large parties. We still had to wait over 50 minutes! Then, after ordering, our food took over 45 minutes to arrive & it was COLD! I asked to speak with the manager. He blamed everything on the server & us!

I will never return. Nor will my friends return.
CASA GRANDE, ARIZONA -- We just ate breakfast this morning at a new restaurant in Casa Grande, AZ, called Mimi's Cafe. It is part of the new Promenade at Casa Grande Shopping Center at Arizona 287 and Interstate 10. One is taken immediately by the decor, from the black and red booth seats to the posters for French restaurants on the walls. The wait staff are pleasant and attentive, and the food is so good, as we used to say back home, if you hold it over your head, your tongue will slap your brain silly, trying to get to it.

At first blush, I thought it was a bit high priced, with a two egg breakfast for $6.99. Then, when the food started arriving, I had to revise my thinking. One receives a huge, fresh-baked muffin (mine was blueberry)and a glass of juice that would have cost $2.00 at Denny's. The main plate arrived with my two AA large eggs prepared to order, a healthy helping of cubed red skin potatoes, and four strips of smoked bacon. The coffee was $1.99, as was my wife's tea, but it was well worth it. Neither of us was able to completely finish our meal, and were pleasantly stuffed. The only addition we could see to the plate would be to add a bit of onion to the potatoes. Our waiter, Luis saw to our every wish in a very professional and friendly manner. If you ever drive through Arizona on Interstate 10, hop off at Exit 194, turn right if westbound, left if eastbound, go about three blocks and you can't miss it. I give Mimi's Cafe five forks.
