Bi-Polar General Manager
LANSING, MICHIGAN -- My boyfriend and I checked into Motel 6 on 10/16/2013 for one month until our new home was ready to move into. The reason we chose Motel 6 is because it was the least expensive for the amount of time ... read full review
Nov. 21 stayed at the Motel 6. The carpet was wet outside the bathroom, so I just walked around it in my tennis shoes to deal with it. I washed up to go to bed, but when I pulled back the covers the sheets were stained with what looked like dried blood or food, I hope food. I was too tired to ask for another room so just slept in sweats and socks. Not very pleasant stay. Add reply
PONCA CITY, OKLAHOMA -- On several occasions my room key would not work, when I went to the front desk and told them they made me a new one and it did not work. I had to be let into my room with a pass key. They informed me that it was because I was carrying it in my wallet. that was the first problem. Now I don't have TV reception in my room and I have been told that they are installing a new system all day and it is 7:10 and I still don't have TV. The impression I am getting is that the owner just dos not care about the guests.Add reply
What an Experience
PHOENIX, ARIZONA -- I arrived at the Phoenix West location at 27th Ave & the I-17 freeway. I was rudely greeted by a woman staring at me, while I gathered my money to pay for the room.

MACON, GEORGIA -- I made a reservation via the internet for my fiancé who lives out of town. The special internet rate was for $35.99 plus tax . When my fiancé arrived for check in, the manager charged him $45.99 plus tax & stated he did not have to honor the internet rate & would not honor it! My fiancé ended up going to another hotel on the other side of town. I will not recommend this particular motel to anyone at all. They did not "leave the light on".Add reply
ELK GROVE, ILLINOIS -- I stay at Motel 6 very often. Mostly around the pacific Northwest. This one in Elk Grove, IL was less than normal standards of Motel 6. The water in the shower kept going hot and cold depending on the neighbor rooms flushing the toilet or taking their showers. The ice machines were broken and there was not even morning coffee in the office.
They office help was not able to give me directions for local attractions. And half of them it was hard to understand when they spoke to me. The girl that worked the office at night spoke the best English.
We were checking into the Motel 6 at Bishop, California around seven at night. Guess what the rate was for this dump of a motel? $136.50. More than three times what it's worth. Got to the room, no rugs, curtains busted. Well, we wiped everything down as this rat nest was a germ haven.

The staff was second rate...and that's being polite. Lesson learned. NEVER STAY HERE.
PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA -- I stayed with a friend at Motel 6 in Downtown Palm Springs, California for one night in August 2013. I have stayed at many motels in this chain. Up until now they have been basic but acceptable. However, this one is the worst! The room was not as clean as it could have been. Although we asked for a non-smoking room, my friend could smell smoke. The room was very tiny, as was the bathroom. There were no drawers to put possessions in.

But the worst - believe it or not, the door did not lock!!!
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
My room had a very bad case of bedbugs which I was victim to. The staff refused to perform housekeeping services. Insulation in walls is very bad; you can hear everything from the other rooms. Add reply
I Got Locked Inside the Room!
BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA -- Immediately after arrival I realized the door was broken and I couldn't get out. I called the front desk and she told me she was the only one on staff and she was busy and she'd be there in 10 min. I ... read full review3 Replies - Latest reply on 08/15/2013
181ST AND STARK PORTLAND, OREGON -- I made an online reservation which was for a room with two double bed's. I received an email confirming my reservation. when my two Kid's and I showed up to check in I was told they didn't have an online reservation from me. I showed the lady behind the after hours widow my email which she wouldn't even look at. I was then told there was one room available with one double bed so I took the room. when my two children and I opened the door the room smelled bad. there was supposed to be a microwave which there wasn't one, the fridge had an open jar of mayonnaise and mustard, the bathroom door had graffiti on the inside bathroom door, and one of the other rooms had a broken window and wasn't boarded up or anything. needless to say I don't recommend this motel to anyoneAdd reply

N. CANTON,OH., OHIO -- I had stayed several nights in this smoke scented holes in blankets and bugs in the carpet fine establishment. I was paying daily (cash) and on the 8th day when I tried to pay for another night they said I couldn't because someone had reserved my room. I don't think my room should be up for grabs until I check out but it's all about their bottom line and not common sense. I was not loud or drinking in my room. I paid every day before check out time.

My truck was in the dealership for repairs so I had to call them every day to see if they were done. So there I am with no room and no truck (nice). Someone with 2,3 or 4 people were probably going to bring in more $ then lil ol me. It's all about the bottom line. Not about being a real person, not about common sense. Oh by the way I really enjoyed the 19 inch tube t v. Right out of 1985. You get what you pay for!
I stayed at the Motel 6 in Emporia, KS, for 3 nights, June 20 to 22, 2013.

The room was very clean, the bathroom was spotless, the room included a microwave and refigerator, the staff was very nice, and all for $27 per night plus tax.
It was a great experience and my friends who thought I would have a problems because it is so cheap were completely wrong.
Highly recommend this motel.
WEST MONROE, LOUISIANA -- I stayed in the Motel 6 last night in West Monroe, La and it was by far the worst experience I have ever had staying at a hotel. The bed was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever tried to sleep on. My back was in so much pain that I didn't sleep but maybe two hours all together and couldn't stand up straight when I finally got up. It was so bad that I will have to be visiting my chiropractor come Monday. And the bed was just one of the problem.

The television only got about 16 channels and the screen was going out on it. It had lines through it and no movie channels as the advertised on the website. Also the wifi that they advertised was a joke as well. It would not let me, nor my guest, connect to it. Once again, it was the worst experience that I have ever had and would not advise anyone to waste their time, nor their money, on such a horrible hotel experience. I know I will not go back ever again.
HORSEHEADS, NEW YORK -- I stayed at Motel 6 a year ago and wow not very good. But I just recently tried my luck again. And to my amazement what a year of changes this motel did. New management( Very good move on the owners part) New housekeeping staff. Wow what a difference. Yes the rooms are in need of a make over but they are clean the staff is VERY helpful. They treat you like family. I really enjoyed my stay!!! I will be back this summer... Thank you Motel 6 Horseheads NYAdd reply
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE -- The Nashville Motel 6 on Stewarts Ferry Pike was the lost disgusting hotel we have ever stayed in. The pictures online are very very deceptive! We were put in a room with no air conditioning and when we complained they put us in a smoking room and we have a baby. But they said they had nothing else for us. They do not have a functioning ice machine and we were told we would have to go ask the Waffle house across the street for ice. We went onto the bathroom and there was black mold on the ceiling and it was leaking from the shower or toilet from the room above us. So our towels were wet and covered in sewage from the room above us! The sheets we slept on were ripped to shreds.

Also don't let the website fool you there is no pool in this location. It hasn't been functional in years. We had to wear shoes at all times because the carpet was actually so filthy your feet would stick to it. The bathroom tiles did not have grout so you had to be very careful when walking on it.
DO NOT STAY at this hotel!!!!! It was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in!!!!
