What do you know about National Homebuyers Alliance?
Posted by on
ILLINOIS -- I am a wage earner who makes a decent salary, but with marginal credit. I am considering enlisting the assistance of a group known here in Illinois as National Homebuyers Alliance. Their claim is that they will be able to assist me on obtaining a home through lease-purchase contract until my current credit situation improves. (It's improving already). I know that there are a lot of scams that a consumer can come across in the real estate industry and I don't want to be another statistic. I know that there are always risks involved, but I do not want to go through a major financial crisis because I made a bad consumer decision. Has anyone out there heard of this group or had experience with them to know if I should follow through on my application with them???? Thanks.

National Home Buyers Alliance in Marlyland has a unsatisfactory record for unanswered complaints against them, In Georgia its unsatisfactory for unanswered complaints, same in Kansas, sounds like they have had many complaints and do nothing to rectify their complaints.

I know this post was old but I ran across it while looking at this company. I have reviewed the BBB and found that they have a C+ rating with the BBB reporting as follows;
Customer Complaint History
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB processed a total of 33 complaints about this company in the last 36 months, our standard reporting period. Of the total of 33 complaints closed in 36 months, 12 were closed in the last year.
These complaints concerned :

2 - None of the Above - Credit, Billing or Collection Complaint Issue
4 - Unauthorized bank debits

+ 6 regarding Contract Issues

2 - Company resolved the complaint issues. The consumer acknowledged Acceptance to BBB.
1 - Company offered a partial (less than 100%) settlement which the consumer failed to acknowledge Acceptance to BBB.

+ 12 Administratively Closed

Perspectively I have found that they do business with around 2,000 to 3,000 consumers anually or rouchly 6,000 to 9,000 in that 36 month time frame when they received 33 complaints, roughly less than 1% of consumers experience what they would consider a grevience worth reporting, not bad numbers.

Seems they rip off a lot of hardworking people with poor credit who are trying to purchase homes

This company is a scam I went to the location on Saturday in Chicago Il located on 9415 S Western. I only gave them the application fee and when me and my mom left things felt suspicious so we asked around nd looked the company up on BBB they are not accredited with them and I also looked up reviews and everything they told us they told other people and ripped them off.
