My site has been down for 4 days now

HERNDON, VIRGINIA -- I cannot even begin to explain the nightmare it has been doing business with Network Solutions. It is sad to say the least that a company like this can be allowed to be in business. There is no regulation to hold companies in this industry accountable. They have no support, they lie, they don't give accurate information. My website has been down for four days because they migrated it to V7. They said it would only take a few hours. They migrated it to the wrong copy, didn't move my site certificate. Gave me the wrong information for my registrar.

Has anyone else had this problem? Please contact me if you have. 816-899-2347 My site is still down.

We had a somewhat similar nightmare with, of all people, AT&T when we moved an office. Down almost a week as they evidently forgot to build our T-1 the month before when we ordered it. They screwed the phones up too. I guess what I'm saying is, it only takes one person at even a known ISP like NS or AT&T, to really screw a business up for a while.

This is a large & long-time business that I had recommended to many. Now, I am having a problem with an SEO package attached to the wrong domain (which wasted $190 a month since December 2009). And they did not notify me of their recent denial-of-service attack. Could that be related to your downtime?

Don't Buy Network Solutions E-Commerce

They messed up my e-commerce site after they upgrade their software.
My site had gone all of the sudden and complain what happened. They said they upgrade. But they didn't tell me when it's done and didn't have a chance to review my site before they relaunch. I called many times, spoke to supervisor, He worked on some but I found further problems next to next, then they never reply my emails.

I still have a major problem with opening my site on IE, Having problem with IE means majority of user is IE, I am losing great deal of customers everyday. People leave from my site as soon as they find malfunctioning.

Anyone tell me what is the real solution on this matter?

Never Use Network Solutions Ever!!!

NEVER USE Network Solutions. They do not care about customer at all. When you call customer service, they just issue service request number.

And they do what they want. I renewed 3 year renewal on Mar 15 and cancelled right away after I found their service fee is too expensive.

Customer service representative said they would refund money but I got an e-mail that I have to use their service for 3 years according to their policy. Decision maker hide and send this kind of e-mail to me.

Then, I had to call customer service so many times and fight with them to get money back. Finally, they refunded my money. But, they deleted my web hosting service account on Mar 22 without any notice even thou my expiration date is May 26, 2011. I could not get any business e-mails.

I called customer service to recover web hosting service but I got only service request number. They sent me an e-mail that I must purchase new web hosting service package to recover it even thou they deleted my web hosting service account before expiration date of 5/26/2011.
They know that it is wrong but they just urge me to purchase new web hosting service package to recover web hosting service. I had to fight with them 3 days. I could not get any e-mails while fighting.

Finally I purchased web hosting package thru other company to get my business e-mail. Network solutions hurt my own business. I run a small trading company. I can not run my company without e-mails. But, Network Solutions does not care about it. They just want to sell their web hosting package with hurting my business. I really like to sue Network Solutions if any lawyer can take this case.

Check with a lawyer who offers a free consultation. They'll tell you quickly whether they are willing to take the case.

Network Solutions Does Not Deliver

Network Solutions continues to have problems with web servers being down. This is not what our company signed up for. High cost for low service.

If you are considering utilizing their services......look elsewhere!

there a lot of providers out there. I'd look around and see what else could fit your needs. there must be hundreds of choices. you don't have to live with the service if you don't like it.

Exceeds My Expectations

GADSDEN, ALABAMA -- For once, so it seems sometimes, a company is as good as advertised. My wife and I had Network Solutions install our home secure computer network. They offered us several alternatives that made sense to us. We could choose wired, wireless or a combination of both. They did what they said they would do for the price quoted and within the time frame proposed. Installing our network hard drive and correcting some Comcast Voip problems was just bonus. Their techs were professional, neat and very helpful. We would greatly recommend them to any small business or large residential computer network installation, repair or service.

Hello Network Solutions
As I had mentioned in my chat sessions with your representative I refuse to use my cell phone to speak with you for the simple fact it cost me money and that is the only phone I have and I will not drive 35 miles to call you since there are no pay phones in my town and I live in the country !

Bow for the fact I want a total refund on mu Unix small hosting package I had paid for a few days ago since this error message keeps occurring

I had signed out and back in dozens of time but to no avail also now the business profile will not even come up. This Website is for my Attorney and I was to have at least a sample page up and running for him by today!

I had tried at least 50 times since I had purchased the package and it is quite obvious your service is not reliable. I had cleared my browser several time & its cookies also. I'm able to edit my other website www.ClassicCannons.com somewhat however my email is unreliable when logging in I have to refresh the login window 3 or 4 times. And it’s a real pain this is the message I get

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [no address given] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request

This occurs on other computers also. I have a Dell Inspiron One running windows 7 in which has 4 gig ram and 1 TB hard drive and I had paid $1,400.00 + for the computer.

I'm highly disappointed in your service 1st to include that last year when I was away on Duty for the military you had deleted my website and all my emails also for my customer contacts. Like a fool I had paid for a year hosting and I will not continue with Network Solution again. I see by all the complaints on the web that I’m not the only one having issues.
So in closing I will contact Kansas State attorney and the better business here if I don’t receive a refund for the Unix hosting ASAP. I will keep the domain names I have

And I will transfer them as soon as possible before they expire to another hosting company. You know you really dropped the ball here I have other websites that I have to do and some had required advance SSL certs and ecommerce packages. I had probably spent close to $750 with you on names and hosting let alone whatever my lawyer had wanted if I could of got a sample page up and running.
I had also saved all my emails from you from last year on the other issue and my earlier chat session with josh in which he had me wait close to an hour during our session and that was after a 45 minute wait to ask a question in the first place. It’s funny that there isn’t a time stamp for you chat session like other companies.
Many complaint website allow file upload to discuss your issue with a company and I have at least 20 or more pages with my concerns here.

Another Help ticket message that can't be sent
and what kind of term is D'oh

You know what this is really amazing. Today I received a email say that my refund will be issued and now my hosting package is closed and the website is gone. What is amazing is on the 12th your representative call me and spoke with me for an hour on my cell phone and she had talked me into staying with your company if the Unix package worked and it did and I had spent close to 8 hr. in doing the webpage and called the lawyer it was for and he paid me for it come today its gone now. This is a pain in the A?? now I have to refund $1,500.00 to him because he's tired of all the BS First of all it was the Unix package not working and when you representative properly config it it did and I did the website and the Attorney approved the sample to further update it in which I had meant to do today But guess what you canceled the package and now I called your representative support and he said I have to repay for the package and such. And guess what the same will happen again.
Ii had been with you for going on close to 4 years and I had enough. I will speak with a attorney today about fileing suite for loss of income and harassment I have over 30 pages of chat about issues and dozens upon dozens of email stored on my flash drive and all my support tickets saved. And to top it off I had to wait close to 6 hr on your online chat support and still no response after that. There are many online complaint site and your name comes up on all of them all my issues will be posted on them and I will now transfer my domains to registor.com if I don't get some type of satisfaction here with in a day I will not redo the site again like my other one which I had lost all my customers emails when I was never informed of the due date 2 years ago I should of transferred my name then and I would not be in this issue no BYE

Thanks for the comment. After all the hassel I had finley got thru to a normal person and the issue was resolved. I feel the problems arise from their customer service. And hopefully my complaint will aid them in helping others with problems when their service do work the company is good but to get their its a pain in the neck. So since my issue is resolved now i'll just stay with them but if you asked me that question a few days ago i'd rathe not. Thanks Again Austin

Network Solutions no longer up to par

HERNDON, VIRGINIA -- Within last 3 weeks our access codes have been re-set 11 (!!!) times for "security reasons".
I guess we ought to be grateful and feel incredibly secure, however the price we have paid for this has become unbearable. Due to not being able to deliver files to a client by the deadline, we lost a project and consequently that particular client.

We feel increasingly frustrated and feel embarrasssed for having to apologize to our clients for their repeatedly denied access. The unreliable service makes doing our job impossible.

We receive no less thank 4 marketing emails from NS per week, yet we have not once been notified of an interruption of service. NOT ONCE!

Since NS outsourced the CS and TS call center to Philippines the customer service and technical support are now unbearable due to cultural (+other) differences. 70% of the call time is spent listening the representative robotically apologizing in every sentence and repeating the same sentence over and over again. I understand that this might be intended as an expression of courtesy, but in truth it's utter waste of time and after the 30th apology, flat out annoying.

Nine years ago a phone call to NS was answered immediately, problems were promptly solved and the overall experience was so far above competition that it was worth paying more that for the competitors. Now I regrettably must say that NS is the worst and most unreliable vendor I conduct business with.
Was it greed that resulted in all this or simply a wrong hire to the top spot in the organization?

Putting Domain Name for deletion before expiry date and nonresponsive to renewal

VIRGINIA -- Our domain name was unexpectedly scheduled for deletion by our Domain name registrar Network Solutions, VA, USA. We received an email earlier this month to remind us that our Domain name was to expire on the 21st May 2011. Thus we decided that we would renew our domain name early and followed the instructions to renew the Domain name on the 8th May 2010. We received a confirmation from Network Solutions shortly and also confirmed that the transaction had gone through from my bank statements. However, on the 11th May 2010 evening, my website and email stopped functioning altogether. Network Solutions sent an email stating that the renewal order had been cancelled and we would receive a refund and our domain name will be placed for deletion. Their customer support claimed that my credit card had been rejected (Strange thing is that if my credit card was rejected, why would the transactions appear in my bank statement already and why a need for refund?) and in order to redeem my Domain, I would need to pay extra and there is no guarantee that I will get back my domain name anyway. They even tried to sell me other domain name variations which I declined. They requested for our credit card information again (which I gave them), opened a service ticket for me and informed us that it would take two days on average for them to contact us and they were unable to know about the status at all till then.

The customer support even claimed that they do not even have the escalation team’s number within the same company as well. Basically, that there wasn’t anybody that we could talk to and the Customer Support team would be also unable to know the status or progress of our situation. Even after two days, I have still not received any response from Network Solutions and we have been unsuccessful in our attempts to contact them as they are currently unreachable on all their contact numbers. We emailed them regarding the service ticket, but there is no response too.

As such, we have decided to move after unlimited unknown status. We have our domain name all over our brochures and printed materials. We have to savage the damage done due to this sudden move. It seems that even after we have paid for the Domain Name, Network Solutions can expire us before the expiry date, dishonoring the transaction without giving any explanations and force clients not to renew our domain names. If you are running a business and have Domain name register with them, you may need to think carefully. When problem arises, there is nothing they will do for you and they would tell you outright that there is nothing you can do too. It seems that they are doing some very strange things.

Poor customer service for email problem

CHENNAI -- I have been using email service from NS for more than 4 years. Never had a issue like what I have been facing now. From Sunday evening, the service got suspended. On checking with them, it was informed that if a mail id sends more than 1000 mails per day or to over 100 recipients, it gets automatically suspended. we never send so many emails and when I asked them to provide the mail id which was causing the problem, they were unable to provide the same. The service got automatically restored in 24 hrs. On Tuesday evening at the same time, it again got suspended for the same reason and they told to check for any virus issues. Checked and there was no issue. Still they were not able to give me the exact email id which is causing the problem. Got automatically restored in 24 hrs. Today again it got suspended and we are unable to even reach them on phone. I had to dial overseas number and hold for over 10 minutes, but there was no one to answer. My company is unable to take down time of email service and this is now forcing me to shift from network solutions. The least that they could have done was to inform all their clients about the real problem, so that we could have been better prepared.

Suspending without any information is just unfair. The fact that I had to wait for more than 10 minutes and still unable to speak to someone on the helpdesk means that they have an issue and are not able to take any calls.

Very poor tech support and customer service

FLORIDA -- Since having taken over our site from Monster, customer Service and Tech Service are extremely poor or non-existent. Do not suggest using Network Solutions if looking for a web hosting company. We have had a problem with exact Fedex negotiated rates on our shopping cart. They have been unable to fix it and appear to have no intention of fixing it. They closed seven service tickets as being resolved when the issue was not resolved. FedEx requested log files to see what info was being sent by API for the rates. Network Solutions had no intention of handing over these logs and have never done so. Absolutely the worst company to deal with. They should have stuck to just selling domain names!
