Air Max 360 Running Shoe
By -

I purchased a pair of Nike 360 Air Max 2010 running shoes for $160.00. After 2 months the left shoe air bladder developed a leak. I returned the shoes to Foot Locker and spoke with the manager. He looked at the shoes and asked if I had them for 30 days or less, because of the like new look. He inspected the shoe and told me to send it to Nike and download the form. I mailed my shoes off to them, only to told that they were worn by "Nike Inspector". OMG these shoes were not even close to be worn. They had less than 2 months of running, around 100 miles on them.

I chose to have them recycled because I was very convinced knowing their condition and what I was told by Foot Locker, that I would get my "defective shoes" exchanged - not at all. Lost $160 for the shoes and $20 to return them. In return I am out $180.00. Nike is all about money, not customer satisfaction. Shame on you Nike!

Two Defective Nike Pairs - Two Different Nike Styles - All in Less 4 Days
By -

Just bought back-to-school shoes for my ten year old son. Nike pair #1 lasted three days, and the rubber tread on the bottoms came unglued. Brought them back to the store, and replaced them with another pair. Different Nike style, slightly more expensive. They lasted one day. This time the front rubber toe cover came unglued along with the bottom tread.

Word of advice to Nike: "Get better glue. Your prices are not in line with the inferior quality of your product." I'm thinking that dollar store flip-flops would last longer than your shoes. Yes, I was able to get my money refunded. However, there is the inconvenience factor of having to go back and forth to a retail store on my gas nickel, then wait in a customer service line to return overpriced poor quality shoes.

Nike Denied Product was Defective
By -

My review is exactly as Mitch29's. My teenage daughter wore a pair for Nike Frees for about 90 days and the mesh fabric started to wear away from the top of the shoe. I will add that the soles look pristine, and show no wear. I incurred expense to mail the shoes to Nike and they simply denied that the shoe was defective and mailed them back. Do we have to tell Nike that their shoes are being worn by ACTIVE people? These shoes are $90 and lasted 90 days. Bad value, poor customer service, but they own the world so what can we do?

Nike Shoes Lasted Less Than a Month
By -

BEAVERTON, OREGON -- I bought a Nike basketball shoes from FinishLine. After wearing the shoes 3 times, I notices that the soles started to fall apart and I worried about my own safety to exercise while wearing this kind of shoes. So I filed a claim on Nike website and mailed them that pair of defective shoes. To my surprise, the "inspection" came back as "Claim Denied and Recycled."

That was laughable because: If Nike recycled the shoes, that means that the shoes were unwearable and, thus, defective! The glue they used to manufacture those shoes are defective! One can even make the bold claim that since Nike is so sincere to recycle its shoes, Nike choose the glues for its shoes which is not the strongest! I used to have Nike shoes that lasted more than 2 years. This pair of shoes only lasted no more than a month.

Nike Inc. Response Is: We Are Not Responsible for Your Scared Feet
By -

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- Christmas 2009 I received a pair of Nike tennis shoes. After wearing the shoes for 3-4 days the top of both my feet broke out with blister 72 on left foot and 63 on top right. I went to the ER due to the enormous amount of pain and burning. The ER Dr. stated the blister were caused by the chemicals Nike uses in treating their shoes. For 13 weeks I could not wear shoes due to the blisters healing and the blisters have scared both of my feet severely.

I took the shoes back to Academy sporting goods where they were purchased. I was told an independent co would test the shoes. Academy sent the shoes back to Nike for the testing. I requested the shoes back immediately, Nike refused. After 2 months Nike contacted me stating they could find no flaw with the shoes and they would send the shoes back to me. Nike and Academy deceived me and I will never wear a Nike shoe again!

Merchandise Received Was Not What Was expected...
By -

I ordered a FC Barcelona 09/10 Home Men's Jersey with personalization on 12/27/2009 from Nike's online store. Order was shipped on 01/05/2010 and arrived promptly on 01/08/2010. Immediately opened the package and imagine to my surprise, I found the seams on the jersey stretched. I had not worn the jersey, so I was assuming it was shipped from the factory like that without any sense of quality control.

I promptly called Nike and they said I had 30 days to return it from the date of shipping at their expense for a refund. I immediately pack the jersey back up in the box it came in and dropped it back in the mail. Will have to wait and see about the refund. I managed to order the same jersey again and I am hoping that the second time will be a charm. When I spend over $100 on an item from Nike, I expect quality merchandise and not damaged merchandise straight from the factory.

Air Jordan's Mello Break Down
By -

BERWICK, MAINE -- I purchased a pair of Mello's for 80 bucks only to have the airbag break within a week. I returned them to the factory store and they exchanged with no problem. The second pair lasted about 1 1/2 months when the airbags broke and the sides of the shoes ripped apart at the stitching. These are poorly made and do not last so I would suggest you buy less expensive shoes from a better manufacturer as the quality is very poor. I thought that I would purchase a quality shoe when I bought these but I am sorely disappointed. These were definitely no treat.

Poor Quality Product
By -

I have been a long time user of Nike Air shoes. I have to say that they are generally a well-engineered and comfortable shoe providing plenty of foot protection. However, it is clear that there are PROBLEMS in the manufacturing process. I once bought a pair of supposedly 'washable' Nike shoes from an outlet store. Although the shoes claimed to be able to survive a wash cycle in a washing machine (I never attempted this), actually the soles peeled off the first time I stepped in a puddle. This could only have been caused by inadequate or inappropriate glueing during manufacture.

Thinking that this was a freak occurrence isolated to a single batch or model of shoe, I continued to stick with the brand. However, recently I purchased a pair of top of the line Nike Air shoes from a specialist shoe store. Within a few weeks of use in dry conditions, the rubber outer sole had de-laminated from the foam layer. It was obvious from inspection that a large part of the sole had insufficient glue applied during manufacture.

Two pairs of Nike shoes bought at different times and places with the same result. A particularly damning fact is that no other brand of shoe I've ever owned other than Nike has ever had such a problem, yet the Nike shoes were amongst the most expensive. Shan't buy them in future! By the way, the hardest wearing shoes I ever owned were a pair of Adidas "Marathon Trainers". These clocked up around 10,000kms of jogging over a 2 year period before wearing the soles out.

Bad Stitching
By -

I bought a pair of Nike runners as a present for my boyfriend. They were very nice and he really liked them at first glance. But I was bitterly disappointed when he put them on for the first time and within seconds all the stitching had begun to rip. I still have the runners and they look as new as ever as they can't be worn. I think I'm entitled to a refund. I have never bought a Nike pair of trainers since and I'm not likely to. I would be very grateful if someone could give me the address for the Nike manufactures.

Cheating by Sale of Used Shoes
By -

I have purchased one pair of sports shoes from their retail showroom at Parle point-surat (India)- it was found that they have sold me second hand or used shoes at the price of new. Such a reputed name can do this is unbelievable. They are accepting their mistake but refused to refund the money in spite of surrender of shoes. At present the shoes and my money is also lying with them. It is unbelievable that such a reputed company can cheat the customer by supplying second hand product for the price of new. I am in process of lodging criminal complaint against the company.
