Why I will not buy a Nissan again

I bought a brand new 2006 Nissan Maxima with 325 miles from Jim Kerras in Memphis TN. Thinking I’m purchasing a reliable automobile with would last me a few years after I paid it off. As a single parent with two full-time jobs, I can’t afford to miss a day from work. I kept the service according the Nissan maintenance guide to avoid costly repairs. Last November, my transmission went completely out and the dealership rebuilt with a twelve month warranty for $2800. 12 months later I heard a rattle sound and the car rolled back and eventually it would not move at all. My extended warranty expired at a 100,000 miles as a single parent I was not in the position to purchase a new car. With 12 months to pay on this car, I was forced to purchase another car with one year to pay off the 2006 Nissan Maxima.

I viewed the car survey website http://www.carsurvey.org/reviews/nissan/maxima/r61092/comments/page-18/
to find some many other owners with the exact same problem. I immediately filed a complaint with Dept of Transportation Vehicle Safety Hotline 888-327-4236 and Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/.
I bought a 2005 Nissan titan in 2006. I replaced the rear axle in 2007 about 33,000 miles. On 09-14-10 rear axle replaced again about 84,000 miles. I do tow with it but I never max the truck out. The most I have carried with it is 7,500 pounds, its rated to tow 9,000 pounds. This isn't strong and rugged truck they advertise in the commercial. When are the auto makers going stand by there products. Add reply

I own a 2007 Nissan quest. The service engine soon light came on, so I took my car to the Nissan Dealership. They advised me that the maf sensor needed to be replaced and since my car was 1,000 over the manufactures warranty that I would have to pay over 400.00 to have this repaired. How disappointing is that ? My entire family have driven Nissan cars for the past 20 years and this is the kind of service a loyal customer gets? Again let me reiterate, a 1,000 miles over the factory warranty. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!1 Replies - Latest reply on 04/08/2010Add reply
I also have a 2003 Nissan Frontier Electric Blue with peeling pait.
It just keeps on peeling. Contacted Nissan. They said they didn't
have any other complaints on this. Now I'm finding out this is not true.
They said it was out of warranty. I was told by someone at the dealership
that most of the electric blue vehicles have this problem.
TOMS RIVER, NEW JERSEY -- A few years back went to a dealer to fix my front wheel bearing. Back then the car was covered by warranty. They were more than happy to fix it at no charge to me. I picked my car up 2 days later. But the next day my car had the same problem very loud noise coming from the same wheel. Took it back to the dealer. They argued with me that I must be imagining things and they hear no such noise. They put manager, then head mechanic with mi in the car to find out where the noise is coming from. They all agreed that it wasn't the wheel they fixed. After two hours of arguing I left because there was just no sense to argue with them anymore. Year later I took apart the wheel my self. Changed the bearing and a hub.
And what the dealership did a year earlier was pack the bearing with grease, and even lost 2 metal balls that make up the bearing, while doing that. They are bunch of crap and they are located on route 37 east in Toms River NJ.

I have a 2001 Nissan quest with a factory installed ford radio. The radio plays no problem but there is no display, no clock. I have found this to be a common problem with this radio. My question is who do I complain to Nissan or ford? 7 Replies - Latest reply on 02/03/2010Add reply
