I have a 2008 Altima . In its 3 rd year the top, rear, and hood, looks liked someone scratched it with sandpaper. The sides look fine. Nothing I've tried to polish it out works. Nissan Shame on you!! These cars should have been recalled. Add reply

NATIONWIDE -- I bought a 2005 used Nissan Titan 4x4,5.6 motor.le model. Before I had put 10,000 mile on it the complete rear end was trash. Estimates from dealers run around 5,000 when all is said and done. The dealer I went to could not even tell me the gear ratio of the rear end.

The body and interior are great and I enjoy driving it, but mechanically it is so inferior, that I'm afraid to drive the truck. The rearend is trash, there are some recalls [which does not include the rear end] braking problems, fan problems, and wiring problems. Of course the most expensive ones are not on the recall lists. Nissan has to be aware of these problems, I've seen too many web pages about the rear end problem alone
TENNESSEE -- Every time the car is started, Nissan requests on the GPS screen permission for them to wirelessly transmit information from the car for Nissan's use for product evaluation, etc. This request will remain on the screen until a button is selected. I have no objection for Nissan to use this information. I do object, however, to their requesting this EVERY time the car is started! I estimate that request will be made 10,000 to 15,000 times during my ownership of the car!!!
I know that others also don't like this--who would? Nissan is able to input computer changes, they could choose to correct this problem by adding a selection button on the screen to HOLD that decision for a day, or week, or month, and don't ask that question again for that period. That would solve the problem. I have requested from Nissan Corporation that they eliminate this annoyance for their customers, but it appears that they choose not to do so.
They took 31 days to 'process' their own payment extension agreement, then reported us "over 30 days" late to credit agencies and refuse to remove it. This was the only irregularity in our long, perfect payment history and they beat us up with their own incompetence and refuse to make it right and rescind the report. Never again Nissan or, of course, their financining

$2000.00 worth of work that should have been covered under the warranty, not honored. I went for an inspection before my warranty expired. I made an appointment 0n 2/23 and was seen on 2/26. The car at that point had 269 more miles past the warranty. This was major work and they did not honor it. 3 Replies - Latest reply on 05/02/2012Add reply

The interior fabric on the brand new Nissan Versa. Every bit of clothing you wear sticks to the seats and looks terrible. Such a nice car and when you look inside it looks terrible. Is there anything I or Nissan can do about this issue?? 2 Replies - Latest reply on 01/13/2012Add reply

I used to brag how wonderful my 2003 Nissan Altima was in the last two weeks, my car has been in the garage 4 and a half days. My entire brake line had to be replaced and my crankshaft had to be replaced. This never happened to my GMC cars that I had for over 10 years for each one! The final straw is I limped back to the garage today and was told that it was most likely my transmission! 1 Replies - Latest reply on 07/22/2011Add reply
