HICKORY HILLS, ILLINOIS -- I purchased ole Carolina Bacon from Aldis, it is all and I mean all fat except for about 2 inches that was shown through the front of the package, I can't seem to find an email address or complaint phone number.
SPRINGDALE, ALASKA -- This bacon was absolutely the worst I've ever eaten (or tried to eat). 3/4th of it was total ugly fat!! Stringy and not even eatable. This bacon should be taken off the shelves of Aldi's until they can come up with a better product. Totally feel cheated.
I bought Ole Carolina Bacon at United Grocery stores for years. Unfortunately, when Albertsons bought United, a lot of things, including the bacon disappeared. Sure, it isn't fancy, and you have to look beyond the sample window to be sure what you're getting, but you have to do that with any bacon. It isn't regularly cut, but if you're having bacon at home, who cares? The flavor is wonderful, the price is right, and if I can find a local store that carries it, I'll be right back to buying 10 packages at a time.
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE -- This is absolute garbage. Seriously, I ruined a pan cooking bacon because it stuck so bad. It's cut awful, and I am absolutely dumbfounded as to how you can screw up bacon... but congrats Ole Carolina, you've found a way. Unreal. Threw the rest away... Yes, I just threw away bacon... or whatever this crap is.
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA -- I noticed that Ole Carolina hickory smoked bacon was priced lower than the others. I bought a pack. When I was cooking it, it did not cook thoroughly and it stunk! And then the taste was bad bad bad like licking an ashtray or something. This product should be removed from grocery's shelves.
I purchased this bacon at a local grocery store. When I went to use it, I was flabbergasted that the entire bottom of package was fat. Out of the pound, 6+ ounces were fat and most of what was supposed to be bacon had only small pieces of meat and again was mostly fat. So disappointed and disgusted that any company can get away with this inferior product.
SANFORD, MICHIGAN -- This stuff should be taken off the shelf. Don't you people taste your product, really? If I needed some bacon grease for cooking back at deer camp, this would be it. Cooks down to nothing but grease and is extremely salty. Better try a different recipe. And don't send me coupons to get more. YUUUCK!
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- Ole Carolina bacon is fatty, chewy, and has tough sinew and tendons running throughout it. It is disgusting. It is not made from pork belly like most bacon, in fact it's not even made from ** pork. It is a cheap, extremely fatty cut of beef soaked in salt, sugar, and artificial flavors. Eating it is like chewing beef fat and tendons that someone else spit out. Stay away from this product.
