Bought an overcoat from Overstock.com and they sent the wrong size. Went to the trouble of returning it and they assured me this would be rectified. Well they fixed the problem by sending me one large enough to fit another person in. When I called to complain I did not feel comfortable sending it back for a second time, especially after reading customer reviews, so no offer of a partial refund of purchases price or anything . So I am overstocked with ill will and would recommend that people avoid this web site when possible.Add reply
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! Long story- but in the end I never received my chair and they would not refund me until I disputed it with my credit card. Crazy! I never even got the product. No one knew anything there. Dumbos! Buyer beware!!!!! Add reply
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- The online order system easy - however returning requires a lot of work if it is over a certain dollar amount - which is as low as anything over $500. It took 1 chat, 2 calls to finally get an RMA number. Just not worth the my time to shop here for the potential hassle if I need to return something. Forget return labels it's on you to insure and return anything. Makes the whole experience too much work for a simple shopping exploit.Add reply

NEW JERSEY -- I am writing to warn those to beware that if you purchase something from Overstock and its defective you will not be allowed to return it for a full refund. I purchased a full-size mattress, a king size mattress, and a leather sectional sofa that all came defective.The total of my purchase was around $3,000. I was not able to inspect the items upon delivery because I was not home. Someone did the favor for me and stayed home to sign. When I was able to inspect I found that the mattresses were of poor quality and had horrible stitching and mattress was very hard. The leather sofa had a damage where the leather was scuffed off in one area. I contacted Overstock immediately and they told me to send pictures, which I did. Then I was told that I could not get refunded because their policy didn't allow it since I had already signed for the items. Well its been a month of e-mails going back and forth between me and their customer service and I still have not gotten any resolution. Ordered a hand knotted Afghan rug from the Worldstock section of Overstock. com. Rug arrived very quickly (2 days.) Shipping was free. Product matched photo on the internet. SALT LAKECITY, UTAH -- I ordered a $479.00 Oakley Holeshot sports watch. Received it yesterday, May 20, 2013, and the battery in the watch was dead. Who ships a watch with a dead battery? I called customer service last night for an R/A and was told I'd receive the R/A via email within minutes. I still don't have it. I was given the standard "we apologize and appreciate your patience". Customer service did say I'd have to ship the watch, at my expense, back via UPS ground, 5 to 10 business days, and as soon as it arrived they in turn would ship me a replacement watch via UPS ground, 5 to 10 business days. I asked her what guarantee I had that they wouldn't ship a second watch with a dead battery. She said she would have to mark a "special request" for me to get a watch that was actually working. Really??? Special request? I offered to pay overnight charges and was told everything moved at 5 to 10 business ground. My first and last time to ever use Overstock. com. SANDY, UTAH -- I ordered a vanity sink and cabinet, spending over $700. My husband called to cancel it and was advised it COULD be cancelled, but they needed me to call and authorize it, because he had not been the one to order it. Ok, no problem....I called back (within 30 minutes)and was told it could not be cancelled as the order was already processed to ship. I asked if there was ANYTHING they could do to stop it from shipping and they said no, and could not give me any advice on what I could do, if I no longer wanted the item.

I then refused the shipment so the item would be returned, and yesterday I received notice that I would be refunded all but the shipping cost of $150. This all left me with a really frustrating overall experience.
I ordered five 4 packs of Axe deodorant to put into care packages for Christmas. Overstock sent me 5 individual sticks. Then, they said they will send the right amount out. They sent 5 sticks again, and closed the customer service complaint as "buyer remorse"! They have since changed the description of what I ordered. Even their customer service gave me a link to the exact product I ordered, copy and pasted the description into the body of the e-mail, but manipulated it to make it look like the description was for what they sent me. the time and guaranteed a replacement light fixture was being sent out overnight and guaranteed it would be delivered in 2 days. Guess what? did not happen either. They really dropped the ball on this one and it seems there is no one who is accountable for not following through with the promises.
I will not be ordering from Overstock in the future - ever!
GEORGIA, GEORGIA -- Their customer service is the best I've come across and they offer great discounts. Just to give an example, how many other companies do you know of that will stand behind a product they sell, yet wasn't made by them? I had a product that they sell fail outside of Overstock's return period. When I contacted customer service and explained that the manufacturing of this particular product was faulty, they immediately took steps to remove the item from their website and refund me the full amount. Just received these earrings for my daughter. One of the 'glitzy rocks' kept falling out, and now is lost. I chatted with customer service (no wait time), and Joeanne was very helpful. They are sending a new pair of earrings, along with a shipping label to return the defective ones.
