You have to drive to a physical branch of PNC Bank, withdraw cash, and then physically deposit money into a competing bank if you want to move more than $2,000 or have it available for withdrawal in less than three days! Good luck if you want to move more than $10K immediately, as their branches won't give you that much cash and their cashier's checks still take a day to clear. Welcome to PNFee Banking.Add reply
Happy to leave PNC
Had several accounts at PNC for years. One of them was a "Free" checking account they offered a few years back. NEVER overdrawn on the account. Then, after a year, they suddenly started taking $50.00 ... read full review3 Replies - Latest reply on 09/02/2010
Punked By PNC Bank
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- "On 9-10-2009, I was charged 36 dollars 3 times for insufficient funds but I deposited 200 dollars the same day to cover my account. That's over 100 dollars taken from me which would place me further ... read full review11 Replies - Latest reply on 09/18/2009

I say this because they have no moral high ground on anything. They've suspended my checking accounts, not closed them, just made the funds unavailable for 2 months now. They use my money and I can't. They won't return my calls or send me a letter of explanation. On their online account link, they showed funds available so I used the billpay. They pulled the money back incurring over $100 in fees. They are the worst bank I've ever dealt with.
It makes me support government nationalization of banks and consumer overview of their practices. Consumers have few rights with them.
Predatory Lending Practices
GULF SHORES -- PNC Bank of Gulf Shores seems to be dealing in predatory lending practices. I recently contacted my local branch of PNC and verbally requested an auto loan. I declined the approved loan. When PNC headquarters ... read full review2 Replies - Latest reply on 07/18/2013
WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA -- PNC buyout of RBC. Complete FAIL. Automatic payments for INTERNAL accounts - specifically line of credit payments were not transferred. Other EXTERNAL payments were transferred, so it would only make sense that the internal automatic payments would be transferred, but of course that would not benefit PNC, so they just let it go, never CONTACT the customer to let them know that the account is not paid and subsequently charge late fees and ultimately report durogatory feedback on credit reports. I have had NO negative credit on my report until this occurrence. Do not bank with PNC - complete lack of ethics.2 Replies - Latest reply on 05/02/2012Add reply
I had my car payment set up for July 21rst on billpay, the day that my check would be there. Looked on my account and noticed that there were 4 overdraft fees. They paid my bill on the 20th instead of the 21rst. When I called to let them know of their mistake and to request a reversal of the overdraft fees, I was told that it was not their fault if my loan company deposited the chech early. What is the point of having a bill pay due date???? THIEVES4 Replies - Latest reply on 10/01/2010Add reply

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I have been a happy RBC Bank customer for over 18 years. That goings back to when they were Centura Bank. That transition was very smooth. PNC will complete the RBC acquisition March 1st. Every correspondence I've received from PNC seems condescending. I was going to wait until the PNC was in full swing to decide to stay with them or not but after reading a number of PNC reviews I am going to find a new back today before they screw everything up for me here.3 Replies - Latest reply on 04/13/2012Add reply
