Awful Customer Services, Lies

USA, OHIO -- Priceline's customer service was absolutely disgraceful. They are robots that do not bend or help at all. They regurgitate what they have written, not taking circumstances into account. We are not real people to them, just money. I am shocked as I have never had a problem, but as of lately I have noticed more sneaky and underhanded "deals". I recently wanted to stay in DOWNTOWN Detroit. I booked an express deal, and got a hotel in the NORTH END. It was a complete lie. Check any other site and they list this hotel in the NORTH END, as it is.

Priceline refused to believe this and would not cancel the order because it was listed in the wrong area. They know completely well that this hotel is located in an undesirable area. 100%. They are being so shady listing this hotel in the downtown area. They know they would never make money off of it if they were to list it truly. They get their customers to waste their money. I had to book a different hotel through a competitor (OF WHICH THERE ARE MANY). Priceline, we don't need you, YOU NEED US! Watch how you're treating your customers. You just lost many.

So Priceline changed me an extra $100+ dollars

So I booked a flight with Priceline because I thought I got a checked bag. I arrived at the airport and had to pay an additional $120 for my checked bag. I clicked on the baggage policy and was very certain that I could have 1 checked bag on my international flight. There were flights $80 cheaper that had cheaper checked bags than Priceline but again I was certain they had 1 checked bag since they were $80 more expensive than 3 other options. Once I paid an extra $120 for a checked bag, which seems like quite a lot, I called Priceline knowing they would at least match my price. They said they only price match until 24 hours of the flight. So not a fan... won't use them again.

Disabled Veteran canceled trip – Denied Refund

NORWALK, CONNECTICUT -- RE: Priceline.com Reservation June 21st, 2018 Dispute;
charged: $1075.20; June 21st, 2018 for a canceled trip.
Please do not use Priceline – they are ANTI-Disabled Veteran and fraudsters.
Why? Our Initial United Airlines Flight # UA5822 ABQ-LAX, departing at 1:00pm was delayed over 2.5 hours. Which means, we would miss our connecting flight in Los Angeles which was scheduled to arrive in Monterey at 4:35pm. The only alternative was to arrive in Monterey, CA at 12:00 midnight, but the car rental company closes at 10pm. Which would have left my husband, a VA Rated 100%, disabled veteran, stranded at the airport, suffering in extreme pain.
I called Priceline (888) 837-3774, right after finding out about the delayed flight, to cancel the entire Priceline reservation. They said to call United Airlines and Budget Car Rental company to cancel the reservations, which I did. Priceline is unscrupulous, keeping our $679.98 fee for a reservation that was canceled, and never billed.
Priceline got a double refund from United Airlines. United Airlines refunded our ticket prices to Priceline. We have a receipt as proof. We have been trying for 6 months to get a refund thru our credit card company, and have not received any credit. March 1st, 2019, I received (2) more REBILL Priceline Charges for double the original charge. 2 times $679.98 = $ 1,359.96 EXTRA. Priceline is a disgrace to our beloved United States, monetarily taking advantage of disabled, pain ridden, Special Forces Veterans.

Fraudulent Practices

I booked a flight for my son to come home for Christmas using Priceline.com. Booking 2 different Canadian airlines for a round trip, my total payment according to Priceline was $484. There was no indication of currency and so I discover on my credit card statement that Priceline charged me in U.S. dollars. I called my credit card company to dispute the extra charge of $177 and I was told that they receive a lot of complaints about this company. So I would highly recommend using a reputable online company to book your flights so that you're not paying extra fraudulent fees.

MILWUAKEE, WISCONSIN -- First issue is that prices go up constantly through your search. My wife and I can do a search at the same time for the exact same search parameters and get different prices. Second issue, booked a flight, got to the Delta check-in and they tell me we can't check-in because my son will be 2 days past his 2nd Birthday. I was required to give his birthday on the Priceline website, why wouldn't they warn me that this would be an issue? I called Priceline to cancel the the return flight and was told that I couldn't cancel even though I had paid for a cancellation policy. The lady on the phone says oh I can't change anything. You should talk to Delta (1).I tell her I'm standing in front of a Delta representative and have spoken with them. oh ok can you talk to Delta (2). I tell her I have and that they advise cancelling the return flight. well, I can't change anything. Could you possibly talk to Delta (3)? This goes on for another 15 min to the point that Delta is starting to think this joke. Luckily the Delta manager was so shocked at how useless Priceline is that she worked her magic to get us on the flight.

Multiple Autos Charged to My Card

I am going to fly to Dallas to attend a wedding. I looked online for rental cars, and saw Priceline. The first vehicle shown was a Toyota Tundra pick-up. I looked at it out of curiosity. Then I looked at two Toyota RAV4s. I chose the cheaper and checked out. I looked at my account later, and saw THREE charges from Priceline. I called, and learned that one reservation was at the wrong airport! They told me all reservations were non-refundable. I think that any vehicle you look at is automatically put into the shopping cart. After I argued awhile, they finally took off one vehicle. Now I have two. I am just lucky the reservations are for only two days! That is the last time I rent a car through Priceline!!!

The worst customer service

Priceline forgot to include extra $20.50 driving permit fee on reservation, even it stated on reservation all taxes and fees are included in $35. That is a not true. First car I got besides many visible damages, not just scratches or dents, it was some serious damage on both doors and frond. As soon as I drove away car stop running, I had to return and got another damaged car, but at least was running. Also, on reservation it should be mentioned that holding fee on our credit card is $1500 sa not everyone will have that kind of limit on their credit card. I just spend 1 hour 17 minutes on the phone with Priceline customer service, spoke to jane CR 5260304; Claire supervisor 5260214 na no one could explain what is included in $35 fees and why $20.50 additional fee was not on the main line of extra charges in my reservation.
Very bad experience. When I was returning the car, during very heavy rain storm, to my surprise on the Firefly door sign said go to Hertz. I did, returned my car there, asked why I had a such a old bit up 2 cars, the answer, was, those cars from Hertz which were no longer used by Hertz due to damage and mileage. So if you want a car which does not run, please rent from Firefly! Terrible experience. Priceline has a worst customer service. Reservation For Firefly in Grand Caymans sep 3-10. 2018

Beware of Priceline's lowest price

Priceline conducts business in a horribly dishonest manner.
Priceline advertised $20 rental car per day. I reserved a car for 5 days, and was charged $71.52 for taxes and fees (71%.)
Furthermore, they allowed you to indicate special requests. I requested a booster seat. They did not disclose the additional charge for the booster seat.
Finally, the rental car reservation is non-cancellation and non-refundable.
Afterwards, I was told to pay $13 extra per day for the booster seat.
In conclusion, I had to pay more than $47 per day for a rental car through Priceline whereas I could pay $32 directly from a rental car company.
This was my first and also my last time doing business with Priceline.

Airline Tickets

OREGON -- Bought two airline tickets from Eugene, Oregon to San Antonio, Texas (and return) through Priceline's website. Upgraded fares (2) from basic economy to "economy" in order to have carry-on luggage and choose seats. Learned the hard-way that you only get your seat assignments at "check-in" time (no choice involved). We ended up purchasing assigned seating through the individual airlines for a price... $81 for the first airline and $218 for the second (they did not have any unassigned economy seats together so we had to purchase Economy Plus seating).

Contacted Priceline's Travel Services on a couple of different occasions (three times by phone and once via email) to ask why we paid them $50 per passenger for choice of seats when in fact your seats are assigned (not by your choice) to you at check in. To say the least, Priceline's Travel Services was anything but helpful. Email response just said to call them again... and so we ended up with nothing for our additional $100 charge for seating choice. Terrible customer service as far as I am concerned and as you can imagine, no offer of a refund. One thing I can say unequivocally, I won't be recommending anyone use Priceline - run don't walk!

Guaranteed Lowest Price Is Bogus

NORWALK, CONNECTICUT -- Beware, their web site defaults to flexible fares even though nonrefundable fares are less expensive. I emailed Priceline on the evening that I booked the trip telling them that I thought I was purchasing the lowest fare. The next day I received an email from them that I had to have called them on the same day to request a refund and that an email did not count. When I called to complain the customer service agent just kept asking me over and over again, "Didn't you read our policy? I can email you a copy", when I protested that I wasn't aware that I was purchasing a non-refundable trip.
