Great Experience

I have purchased international plane tickets from Priceline twice in the past because of their really low prices, and they were both successful with nothing going wrong. The third time, however, I did experience a problem. I purchased two international roundtrip plane tickets for Virgin Atlantic Airlines through Priceline.com. When Virgin Atlantic changed their flight time, it caused a problem with our tickets as we no longer saw that we were passengers for the plane. I called the Virgin Atlantic customer service, and they told me that we did not have a reserved seat at the plane, and couldn't find our booked tickets. Since I had purchased tickets through a third party (Priceline), there was nothing they could do, and that I needed to contact Priceline. When I called Priceline, the representatives were competent in what they were doing, and told me to that our tickets had been cancelled by Virgin Atlantic. They said to wait at least 7 business days as they would work on it with the airline. I checked back with Virgin Atlantic 2 weeks later, and our seats were confirmed, and we are once again passengers for the flight. I was nervous at first thinking this problem would never be resolved, but I was wrong, and am quite impressed with Priceline's customer service. I will continue to book my trip flights through Priceline, especially since tickets are sold at really low prices, and if any issues will occur, I am confident that Priceline will pull through and fix the problem. Thanks Priceline!!!

DO NOT USE PRICELINE. Use any other booking site EXCEPT PRICELINE.

I booked my fiance, my aunt, my Uncle and my own hotel/flight reservations over about 2 weeks ago. Same time and same credit card. Called The hotel the day after booking (So on a Monday), they have ZERO sign of my hotel room but have my Aunt/Uncles. I call Priceline, they said it can take 48 hours. Okay.

Call back Wednesday. STILL NO SIGN OF MY RESERVATION. I call Priceline again. This time they said can take 7 days. Uhhh..okay.

I call the hotel today. Guess what? STILL NO RESERVATION. Aunt and Uncle's, there. Mine? Nope.

I call Priceline again. I get the closest thing to a manager they would transfer me to and he tells me, they have to resend over all the paperwork and it can take another 48 hours!

Can't get BOTH hotel reservations to the hotel in a timely manner but have ZERO problem running my credit card I see!

Unacceptable! I will MAKE SURE none of the 40-60 guests for my wedding use Priceline. This is my first and LAST time EVER using Priceline.

BRANTFORD, CALIFORNIA -- ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! They are scammers. Be very careful if the currency is not showing. Priceline thief's show the price but not anything about currency on some of their pop up sites. What I thought was Canadain turned out to be actually US! My itinerary did not state what currency it was in and I did not find out until after I had gotten my credit card bill which by then it was too late to cancel of course. /the price I ended up paying was a $200 more then what I was expecting and would have not booked it through them if I knew that were the price. Just a way for these scammers to get some extra profit. WATH OUT! Don't let them trick you as well. My credit card will not dispute currency issues and am waiting on an investigation which will take months

SANTA CRUZ, CALIFORNIA -- I booked a flight on Priceline that I subsequently had to cancel within 24 hours. I called them and got an agent who refused to do this because it was a "special fare". This is a direct violation of US law "The 24-hour reservation requirement is mandated by the Department of Transportation's consumer rule “Enhancing Airline Passenger Protections” (14 CFR 259.5(b)(4), 76 Fed. Reg. 23110, 23166, Apr. 25, 2011) and applies to all reservations made seven days or more prior to the flight's scheduled departure time."

I asked to speak to the next level up who basically said the same thing. After I accused them of being dishonest and violating the law, they finally relented but only after saying I would be charged a $15 "reservation fee". It wasn't worth my time to hassle any further. I'll spend the time filing complaints with my state AG and USDOT. Bottom line, this site is a FRAUD.

Don't ever get express deals

Do not ever get an express deal! I talked with Kenci (identification number: 5260321) she was very aggressive I got an hotel, that was supposed to be %26 off, and on the comparison to other hotels they put 3.5 stars compare the to crowne plaza, dobbletree, marriott and hyatt, I got an hotel that nobody knows that it was only $4 dollars less than most pages (not %26 off), in many pages 3 stars instead of 3.5. I called and they also charge an amenity fee at the hotel, and that doesn't say anywhere visible on Priceline when you are getting the deal. it was supposed to bee an 8+ hotel but even on Priceline they have it rated as 6.7+ (pleasant). they didn't cancel my payment and charged my card anyway, even though I tell them all this things, I lost hours of my time and got an hotel that doesn't fit the description they where advertising, don't ever get express deals with Priceline, the worst service and customer service.

PRICELINE IS HORRIBLE

I booked hotel rooms through Priceline, with a 24-hr cancellation policy. Priceline sent my reservation to another 3rd party that I've NEVER heard of in my life. So when I was forced to cancel for unforeseen circumstances, I was sent in a telephone circle that lasted for almost an hour. By the time I finally got the person (OBVIOUSLY NOT LOCAL) who could cancel for me, I was 15 minutes too late... because I was tossed around at their horrible call center for over 45 minutes.

All "Mel" (I'm certain that wasn't her name) would do is read the cancellation policy to me over and over and over. She transferred me to a "senior representative" who also read the cancellation policy to me at least 5 times in response to my questions. Clearly their "call center" folks are trained to read canned statements back to a customer over and over until they're so frustrated that they finally hang up and end up paying for a hotel that they didn't use. Great service. I will NEVER EVER use Priceline (or any of the obvious aliases) ever again and I will recommend to family and friends that they exercise the same caution.

I had made a reservation through Priceline for a Holiday Inn. When I arrived they would not accept my reservation because the dates listed on the form where incorrect. I never noticed until I got there. We had been traveling all day and it was raining and terrible weather conditions. I have 2 small children and we were so tired. It was 11 p.m., we wanted to sleep so bad. When I arrived at the hotel the guy at the front desk would not help us because the dates had been screwed up and I did not buy them from Holiday Inn. I tried to contact someone to help us switch the dates and no one would help us, I was on the phone for 1/2 hour trying to get help and had 2 small kids crying and upset. It was a completely nerve wracking experience. We ended up walking out at around midnight because we could not come to a resolution. We had to drive all the way home in the terrible weather, tired and hungry. It was the worst experience of my life. The following few days I tried to contact the hotel, Priceline and Paypal to get the issue resolved they would not give us a refund no matter how hard I tried. I would never stay at a Holiday Inn again, nor will I ever use Priceline to make a reservation. Terrible customer service on both sites and of no help to someone who was in a terrible situation.

Got Ripped. Cannot Get My Money Back

NOLINE, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased two air tickets from Priceline.com departing from Hong Kong airport to San Diego international airport on June 12 for my parents. They arrive 3 hours in advance to Hong Kong airport to check in. Cathay airline checked in their luggage and let them wait. 1 hour later, my parents were told they cannot board the Japanese airline because they do not have Japanese visa which we have never been notified to get.

My parents have all the other documents required to aboard the international flight. They are Chinese citizen with US green card. I have contacted Priceline.com four times and Japanese airline two times from June 13 to June 18. I ask them if they can extend these two air tickets for a year, I was told that Japanese airline said no. They only allow to extend to June 13, 2014.

When I contacted Japanese airline, they told me it has nothing to do with them anymore, any dispute should be solved with Priceline.com. The Priceline.com failed to inform us to acquire Japanese visa, as a result, my parents cannot board Japanese airline.

Priceline Outright Lies

I booked a 5 night trip through Priceline at the Atlantis resort (Bahamas). Priceline advertised complimentary breakfast -- a lie, outright. Atlantis did not offer that (which by the way, is otherwise a wonderful stay). Secondly, about a week before our trip, our flight was bumped a day sooner, giving us an extra night without a room because Priceline refused to accommodate in any way. We would've slept on the streets or inside the airport if we didn't manage to find a smaller room at another hotel at the last minute.

Priceline wouldn't even help find another place, let alone get us an extra night at Atlantis. Thirdly, hotel utility fees are not included in their advertised price and they play ignorant in letting you know how much those are, in advance. Overall shady, and misleading. The breakfast part I mentioned is a small ordeal but still an outright lie and false advertising by Priceline.

Priceline Lies About Price Match Guarantee

I will NEVER use Priceline again to book another flight. Price match guarantee... yea right. I found a cheaper flight and I called to get them to match it and they said "Sorry. You're out of your date range." I said "excuse me" and they said "Yea sorry. You have to find it within 24 hours." I lost it because NOWHERE on their website or when your booking or the information about price match guarantee for flights does it say you have to do it within 24 hours. I hope everyone stops using them and I will be writing more reviews so everyone sees just how much of a sleazeball company they are.
