I've never used Proflowers before and after reviewing all these comments I'm very scared. I'm sending flowers to my mother-in-law in Bakersfield, CA. I live in Colorado and wanted to surprise her on mother's day. I hope she receives them on time. I will repost if I have a good or bad experience to let the consumers out there of my outcome. 5 Replies - Latest reply on 05/11/2010Add reply
My dear husband wanted to surprise me as he was going to be out of town for Valentine's Day. Never again. CHEAP flowers, no filler, I had to arrange the thorny, small roses myself, and dispose of the huge amounts of packaging. At least it was winter and the flowers could stay fresher in the cold truck. I can't imagine how much more awful the flowers would have looked if it was summertime. He and I both like to save money but their 'special' was not so special. Shipping was just as much as the flowers. After seeing all the packaging to throw away (or recycle), I could see why. My husband was embarrasssed and we both hate that money was wasted on such cheap flowers. He'll go to Costco next time and get much better flowers for half the price.1 Replies - Latest reply on 02/16/2010Add reply
Ordered roses for the wife. They charged me extra for "Guaranteed Delivery". I set the delivery date for Friday the 12th to make sure it had time if anything went wrong.
HA! It is not yet delivered and now it is the day after Valentines!!
My wife ordered tulips for her daughter and they arrived droopy and her son ordered roses for his girlfriend and they did not arrived at all. He paid extra for early time delivery and we guess they are still riding in the delivery truck. I suggest no one order flowers in a BOX if you want to make sure your loves one are going to get a nice order. 1 Replies - Latest reply on 02/14/2010Add reply
Watch out for the on-line ordering process you are not provided a final summary of charges until the next to last step and they do not provide a method to cancel the order or to return to change your order. Also watch out for all of the add on charges. Make sure you confirm your shipment with the recipient because they left out items on my shipment. Also, the shipment is shipped in a box, not delivered in the open if you are looking for the surprise affect you will not get it with ProFlowers.com. Add reply
I paid extra for guaranteed deliver and they don't deliver. Just another faceless corporation that is incompetent. Add reply

Worst quality flowers. Purchased a beautiful looking picture of a bouquet to send to a funeral in Appleton Wisconsin. Thank goodness the funeral director rejected them- he said they were the worst flowers he had seen in his entire career. They were dead and drooping.

Calling customer service I was told they ship directly from the grower-apparently after they have been picked and sat for days.
I ordered flowers for my mom and paid the additional $15 charge for them to be delivered on Mother's Day, and that's on top of the regular delivery charge of $15. Flowers never came on Mother's Day. My mom called and arranged a delivery date/time and once again, no flowers. Proflowers should not accept orders for delivery that they cannot satisfy. VERY disappointed!! 2 Replies - Latest reply on 05/18/2009Add reply
