CROMWELL, CONNECTICUT -- After paying 79 dollars for this phone, I feel that I shouldn't have to pay an extra35 dollars to re activate this phone..The cell was a Kona that was sold by Radio Shack..I wasn't told that there was a premium to be paid to
activate my phone. That is double dipping. It was never told to my by an employee that I had to do this..I just want my money back and all I get is baloney from them.I sent them my email address and gave them my telephone number. My real biggest [snip] is when you look for the account number on the sales slip, There are so many numbers there, which one do you use.
The phone in question has a problem. It did updates and now it won't hold a charge. Their solution buy a new phone everything was fine until it updated now it won't hold a charge. Add reply

I purchase a cell phone from Radio Shack at the regular price. Shortly after the purchase the same phone (Galaxy 3) went on sale. I returned to the store and asked for the sale price and they refused to honor their claim. 3 Replies - Latest reply on 02/02/2013Add reply

Coupon offer: good luck trying to collect. There's some technical glitch the consumer doesn't readily know about..very convenient for Radio Shack -- they don't have to honor the coupon, but sure used it as a heavy sales tactic to sell the original item.
Price matching: good luck collecting on that. In my case, I bought a phone; a day later Radio Shack offered it for a lower price. I went to get the price difference, and again, oh, a technicality, we can't pay the difference.
(technicality had to do with the original phone getting changed out by the manufacturer three days following the Radio Shack purchase, so although it was the same purchase, the serial numbers were not the same; plenty of documentation exists on the change out. It's obviously the same phone, it's the same phone number and same carrier. The transaction would take a human to intervene, but Radio Shack won't bother. I'm still waiting for the manager to call me back, hasn't happened and two weeks have passed.
They gladly sold us 2 Galaxys with all the extra accessories for a lot of cash. Next day we were treated as strangers. Their help line said it "did not recognize our phone#s that they registered",then they hung up. Called the store but "tommy" would not speak with us or call back. They work on commission, and then you are strangers after the sale. CAUTION, steer clear of Radio Shack. 1 Replies - Latest reply on 12/22/2012Add reply

False advertisement regarding their promotion for $10 back for every $50 you spend. They don't include an expiration date nor do they mention that coupons expire in 30 days. They also take longer than the 7 days they claim to give you the coupons. I waited 14 days, which takes from my the time to use my 5 coupons. Also I reported them to the BBB. 1 Replies - Latest reply on 12/11/2012Add reply

NEVADA -- I'm a victim of identity theft and Radio Shack has surveilance of the suspect(s). The police investigator contacted the manager and gave him information to give to corporate regarding the case. He crumbled up the paper and threw it in the garbage. In my opinion Radio Shack condones identity theft and they weren't cooperative with the police. Why would a reputable company protect dishonest people and not be brought to justice??? 2 Replies - Latest reply on 08/29/2012Add reply
