ARLINGTON, TEXAS -- When I arrived it was complete Chaos. You walk in all the attendees are sitting at a desk doing pretty much nothing. I walked in told one of the girls that I had a party scheduled - she gives me the "room" we are in and charges upfront. Although the kids had a blast I don't think I'd ever be going back. Here are my reasons why:
I was promised party setup. Matching tablecloths, cups, plates, and eating utensils. I walked in the walls were dirty - nothing was set up and it was cleaned up very poorly. After I went and complained. I was only brought plates napkins cups and eating utensils. You can LITERALLY just walk in without paying. People were walking in with outside food and not paying! The staff stay to the side doing their own thing the whole time. I mean where is management? You pay for these wristbands for what?! If I were the owner I'd want to know why I wasn't making any money.
Everything is dirty! Walls, floors, bounce houses smelled of dried urine. My son at the end of his party smelled of urine. He's in diapers so I know it wasn't his! "Staff" needs to be more attentive to what's going on. Actually doing their JOBS. Instead of sitting around. And um no bathrooms?! Your main guests are children! How are there no bathrooms in the arena?! Overall the kids do have fun but the fact that it's so GHETTO! Kills it for me. I would NOT recommend this place unless they did a remodel and hired more attentive staff.
ARLINGTON, TEXAS -- We had a party there last weekend and had a great time. There are lots of bounce houses so kids of all ages have a place to play. It's very spread out so you don't feel like you are practically on top of everyone. If you book in advance, there are party rooms available, but be aware that the place is always open for "free play", so there will be people intermingled with your guests. This was not a problem for us, but if you're looking for a more private experience, this is not the place.
Also, there are signs on the bounce houses about numbers of people allowed inside at one time, but there are ZERO attendants supervising (they all sat at the front desk unless they were prepping a room for a party) so you'll need to stay vigilant, particularly if you have little ones playing.
I only have two complaints:
1. There is no bathroom on site. You have to walk to the other side of the skating rink to find a restroom. For a company that caters to kids, I don't think this is very smart. Royal Jump, please invest in installing at least one restroom... that's a long walk for kids that need to potty! :)
2. I assumed (my bad!) that our party included some sort of Hostess-type person... someone to call in the party attendees and help serve when it was time for cake/gifts, as well as to help clean up. I should have asked, so it was definitely a lesson learned on my part.
On the upside, though, Royal Jump provides plates, napkins, cups, utensils and balloons... all to fit your party colors. If you need additional items, there is a VERY minimal charge for them. Overall, it was a fun experience. I don't think we will have another party there, but we will most likely go back for some family play time.
