I'd rather have swine flu then order from them again

If I had just 1 problem with them I wouldn't complain but I continue to have problems with them.

One problem is their time from receiving the order until shipping. It seems now that a week or more is the norm for them now. Because of this and the problem I am describing below I found a new company BnB http://www.bnbtobacco.com/ that has not only blown RYO out of the water as far as shipping, actually shipping out any order placed by 2pm I believe, the products I am ordering are cheaper and their customer service is excellent even though I only had to email once and that email was returned and problem solved in 10 mins.

My real big major problem was I had ordered about $200 each of 2 products. After a week and a half of no sign the order was even shipped, I began emailing and calling. No answer or response to either after almost 3 weeks since ordering I was about to cancel the order and also have my CC company block the charge. They finally called me back and said the one product was on back order but the entire order will be shipped soon. Well a month after I placed the order it finally arrived, with just the backordered item. After 2 weeks of trying to reach them they finally called back to say they shiiped the order that wasn't back ordered earlier. When I told them it wasn't and to give me a tracking number they couldn't. They then said they would call me back. When they called me back like a week later they insisted the full order was shipped at once and denied saying the one product was shipped earlier. Well I told them they were full of it because not only did I get only 1 product in the shipment, I also had the packing slip which showed only one product shipped. There answer was the other product was in another box and that should have a packing slip listing that product. When I said only 1 box came and asked for a tracking # for the other product and box, they said it was the same tracking #. When I informed them they were lying and each box would have its own tracking #, I should know I worked in the shipping business, I was told she had to ask someone and would call me right back. That was about 4-5 months ago and even though I called and emailed many tmes they choose to never respond. So they didn't ship something and when asked they lied to cover their butt and when called out on it they lied again and when called out on it again they choose to pull the ignore it and they will go away game. So I finally had to call my CC company. I told them what happened and said to take the part of the charge off they didn't send. When the girl on the other end found out how they were lying to us then ignoring us, she took the entire order off our credit card to teach RYO not to lie.

I will never use this company again. I actually have 2 very positive reviews here I gave them but between the lying and the fact that actually shipping the items has gone from 1-2 days to a week or more, is unacceptable, especially since BnB is cheaper and faster.

Are these cigarette mailorder companies that are run from Indian reservations? I don't smoke, but I do know that Indian reservations sell untaxed cigarettes, and do a swift mailorder business, which can amount to savings of about $20-$25 a carton compared to buying smokes locally. Cigarettes in Ohio run about $5-$5.50 a pack on average now. Still, you have to watch out with mailorder cigarette companies, since many states are finding out about these mailorder purchases, and sending out tax bills as a result. One Ohio smoker who bought his cigarettes from mailorder companies got a tax bill for over $5000. Hopefully your state isn't aggressively seeking out taxes for such purchases. With the economy the way it is now, some states are getting aggressive with tax collections...especially Ohio.

Just stop smoking, and issue is resolved!

Go to "Smoker's choice" little cigars... they run about 2 bucks a pack and they are about as strong as a Camel filter..

GN is correct. Many states now are buckling down on sales taxes being avoided by mail order purchases. I direct order very little but the savings of 9% on regular sales taxes here more than covers the shipping if under a minimum amount. I don't think you stated your location but you might want to check into that just to be on the safe side. On tobacco sales and certain other items the taxes are far higher.

I look forward to paying for your health care. Not.
Nohandle on 2009-10-24:
Ken, play fairly. I don't look forward to paying the healthcare on those wide butts who purchased all the lard off the bottom shelf of the shortening aisle before I even had a chance at it. No justice at all.

I agree NH, obesity kills as many people as smoking does if not more.
Anonymous on 2009-10-24:
No, actually smoking has a higher and more definitive morbidity rate. I don't care what someone does to themselves, but it always seems that the worst habits preclude having health care. I guess you just can't afford both.

Justthefaxx, it's just like flipping a switch, right?

Nohandle on 2009-10-24:
Ken, heredity/genetic factors play a role in some healthcare issues as you know. Many, however, are choices made by an individual. I haven't done the research but would guess at a number of them. Whether smoking would be at the top of the list I would argue. The reason being diet contributes to so many additional health issues. I won't point the finger at tobacco companies anymore than I would FF joints. As adults we make decisions or should be capable of making decisions on our own behalf. Some of those past decisions/habits are difficult to break.

I wonder what the morbidity rate for SNUS is...?

miss, I would think so.

I take it you've never been addicted to tobacco, JTF.

I bought some Dutch master cigars good stuff.
old fart on 2009-10-24:
See my review on SNUS... The cancer risk is far,far less. and it tastes pretty darn good.. it's also MUCH cheaper..
Eloise on 2009-10-24:
What I want to know is how all these people who are complaining to be broke can afford to by cigarette. It's an expensive habit!
old fart on 2009-10-24:
It's possible to get cheap tobacco.. Smoker's Choice only cost 2 bucks a pack ,less than half of ciggies...
Kittyclaw on 2009-10-24:
I smoke...I don't order them online just buy from the store...the way I see it, it is MY habit and if the price goes up I have one of 2 choices stop or keep buying them....all in all its your call after all us smokers are the ones keeping them selling.

OP, many time the tracking number IS the same. It will say Tracking # XXXXXXXXXXXXXX 1 of 2...Tracking # XXXXXXXXXXXXXX 2 of 2.

Track it again, and look for the second package to see if it was delivered as well.

I've been all over the web, called every hospital, clinic and social services places I could find.I even e-mailed my local radio station that was doing a piece on smoking to find a group or program to help me quit and it's just not there.Talking on the phone has not worked me.I paid out of my own pocket for accupuncture and patches but it has not helped or worked.I quit drinking 17yrs ago but only w/groups and social services.Smoking is kicking my butt.

I stopped ordering cig from one of these companies and 3-6 months later I got an Excise Tax for $2000 dollars.Yes Excise and the woman told me if I won't pay we stop you from getting a car on the road, ins, and lic renewal. There is a diff between can't pay and won't pay.I'm making payments and interest is accumulating.I'm not saying they can do this,I'm saying this is what I was told and the bill is for Excise Tax.

Poor Customer Service

ROLLING MEADOWS, ILLINOIS -- I understand that mistakes can happen, but how a company deals with those mistakes is important to most consumers.

I recently placed an order with this company for 8 items. When I received a box from them, it only contained 1 of the 8 items. There was no packing slip in the box and the UPS label indicated it was box 1 of 1. It took several calls to various numbers to get a human on the phone. None of the calls where I'd left information were returned.
When I spoke to someone about the problem, they told me they would file a claim for me. I didn't receive any more information so I followed up with a fax, explaining the problem.

A couple of days later, I received an email from the company showing the tracking information that my order had been delivered. I responded to that email and told them that I had explained the problem and sent a fax. Yes, I DID get a box, but that box contained only 1 of 8 items paid for.
They responded to say it was being investigated. That was several days ago and I haven't heard anything more from them.

What is there to investigate?
UPS did deliver the box they shipped. Whoever filled the order screwed up.
Obviously, I'm getting the run around from them instead of making things right.

I would NOT recommend this company. They have not responded to my last communication wanting to know when I can expect either my merchandise or a refund.

Did you order with a credit card? If so, dispute the charge with your credit card company!
