Can't register products

Totally pathetic website. Tried to register product as instructed but after several attempts could not create an account, almost as if they don't want to communicate with you! Can't even send an inquiry without creating an account. Did like their product but will never buy again because of horrible website and customer service... Must be really bad if you need their service but can't contact them. Bye bye Ryobi, there are other manufacturers out there that would like my business.

DENVER, CALIFORNIA -- Ryobi makes getting warranty replacement impossible, sold by Home Depot. Had a 40V Battery fail with warranty period and contacted their warranty dept. They only put me on hold and hold and hold. Terrible service and they are trying not to fulfill their obligations.

Had a one week old Ryobi cordless vacuum that quit after one week. So I called the customer service number only to find out that they could do NOTHING for me without the receipt. I paid cash and threw out the receipt with the packing material. I had Ryobi tools before and did not think I needed to keep the receipt. Now I am left with a useless hunk of plastic. I will NEVER again buy Ryobi crap or deal with Home Depot. Others have echoed the same situation here.

Blower Recall

ANDERSON, SOUTH CAROLINA -- Received a letter stating that the CPSC had issued a recall for the Ryobi blower. The one I bought at Home Depot lasted just a short time before it blew up because of the defect fan blade. Call the company and was told that I had to send it back - the thing exploded. Should I keep it as a paper weight? The recall is just another ripoff from Ryobi!!!

Broken Torsion Spring

ANDERSON, SOUTH CAROLINA -- Part is no longer available, on the market for 3 years and now they discontinue this part. Why not use a universal spring for this application or one from another model that might work - Drill press works well but without the return aspect of the Chuck it's not safe - thus throw the damn thing away, WHAT A WASTE!

Using my trimmer as you normally would and the support handle snapped off and I was not a happy camper. Called customer service. Talked to the nicest Rep from South Carolina named Raven. She was professional and handled me like I was family. I told her what happened and she took my information, gave me a confirmation number, and told me my new support handle was on the way to Florida. This is the kind of company we need in our great country.

Ryobi RY13016 has a rubber timing belt. Can you believe it? It worked as a maintainance nightmare in cars, that Ryobi put one in their wheeled string trimmer. NOW we can get to know the local Ryobi dealer. Comedian T. Bubba Bechtel refers to actions such as this as IGMO.

Insulting Customer Service

HAWAII -- I used their product four times total. On the last time, the motor overheated and would not start again. Called their "Service" Center and was told they have a "you-broke-it-you-bought it" policy. Well, I have a "you-treat-me-like-dirt-I-take-my-business-elsewhere" policy. They finally, begrudgingly, replaced the trimmer and left me a message that, "They're not likely to replace this again." How do you say adios in Japanese? SAYONARA, Ryobi. If I want to be insulted, I can always call my ex for free.

FLORIDA -- Received as a gift and used this approximately 10 times then would not start. Called Ryobi - no help from them. Took it in to a repair shop - they told me they get these in all the time and cannot find a permanent fix. It started twice at the shop - I paid them $30 repair bill and started it once after that then it quit starting again. Don't buy this unless you are experienced at small engine repair.

Ryobi Junk Trimmer

ANDERSON, SOUTH CAROLINA -- I purchased a Ryobi Model RY34001 30cc 4 Cycle Power Head Trimmer on July 13, 2011 from the Alvin, Texas Home Depot Store. I paid $149.00 plus tax for this unit. It worked up till Feb. 2012. March 2012, I took it in to their authorized repair center in Alvin, Texas, Gill's Small Engine. I was charged $15.00 plus tax for a deposit. It was not running and it was leaking oil. I picked it up in April 2012 and had to pay an extra $15.00 for it. Took it home and it ran for 3 minutes. It wouldn't start up again. So I call customer service up and am told I have to take it back to Gill's. Am I totally stupid? I would have to pay a deposit again to Gill's. I said, I'm going on the internet to complain about this and was hung up on.
