EVANSTON, ILLINOIS -- 4/1/09. This is the biggest scam ever! First, it cost me $25 for 2 mugs, 2 travel mugs, and one bag of coffee, which wasn't a bad deal. The scam was that the company IMMEDIATELY started CHARGING me for shipments of coffee every 2 days, charging my debit card $38.95 3 times within 6 days! I called immediately and told them that I didn't order all that coffee and I wanted the charges credited right away. I still have NOT received my credit of $116.85! Every time I call, which has been MULTIPLE times, I am told "It takes 10-14 days to receive a credit." And, not one person I have talked to had an EXPLANATION why they were CHARGING MY DEBIT CARD MULTIPLE TIMES!
Well, it didn't take 10-14 days for them to receive the MONEY THEY STOLE FROM ME! I did not order their products then decide that I did not want them! Instead, THEY JUST CHARGED MY CARD 3 TIMES FOR COFFEE I THAT I DID NOT ORDER! I called again tonight and left a message on their machine again! They NEVER call back. So, I will call in the morning again! BEWARE OF SeattleCoffeeDirect.com, THEY ARE HUGE SCAM ARTISTS. They should NOT be allowed to do business!
4/2/09. Just a follow up warning to all those who have been victims of unauthorized charges... I just wanted to share with everyone the other names SeattleCoffeeDirect.com uses to charge our credit and debit cards. These are the following names they used to charge my debit card: Metro Coffee Roast, Bellezza Coffee, CoffeeRoastersDirect.com, and SeattleCoffeeDirect.com.

This company advertised something different than what was sent. It said a free COFFEE grinder would come with the beans. This company over charged for what was sent, and has terrible customer service, denying this advertisement of a grinder free. This company sent damaged product - as one of the coffee cups (generic white, no name, Dollar General looking cups) was broken... I didn't even order them anyway... And I guess they were sent instead of the grinder???
What the heck do I do, smash the beans with the bottom of the already broken cup??? Without the free grinder part of the advertisement I WOOULD NOT have purchased the WHOLE BEANS I would have gotten it already grinded!!!! So a complete disappointment order..... absolutely nothing was right about it!
ALSO THEY DID NOT SEND CONFIRMATION TO THE COMPANY THAT GIVES ME THE FREE WII, SO I GOT NO CREDIT!!! SO I BASICALLY THREW MY MONEY IN THE TOILET!!! It was not worth all the phone calls to try to fix everything cause they didn't do anything for me, no refunds no credit no confirmation, no grinder, no nothing! Stay away from this offer!!!!
I take all the blame for being stupid and responding to an online survey. The promotional offer was 2 lb of coffee plus a coffee grinder for $9. It sounded like a good deal. Somewhere in the fine print was a $25 membership fee. I was charged $34.00 on Jan 30. I went online to check my credit card bill and saw this charge plus another on Feb 7. I called immediately to cancel. The coffee is lousy and definitely not worth $17 per lb. I have seen numerous complaints online and they apparently charge for coffee much more often than once every 30 days.
I am going to call again and tell them that they are no longer authorized to charge my card and if there is another charge, I am going to file a police report for theft. I am also going to call my credit card and hopefully block any future charges. Apparently these people are crooks. I have a subscription with Gevalia and the coffee and the service is great.

TUCSON, ARIZONA -- I bought coffee from this Seattle Direct place and was charged $ 36.95 for one charge plus another charge for $34.95. The original come on was for 2 bags of coffee and a grinder. One bag of coffee was awful (dry) and the other one (expresso) was delicious. I will be trying to contact them today when I get home, but am not feeling very confident after reading the other complaints...
