I bought a Simmons rocker/recliner after sitting on the display in the furniture store. After getting it home and removing the plastic cover I noticed the right arm over padded with a concave look while the left arm had way less padding and the front of the left arm sagged. When I sat down the seat felt hard as if I was sitting on a padded cement block. The furniture store was wonderful taking it back. It also had little plastic pieces that went to each leg that quickly came off. I bought a Lane rocker recliner made in America.
In late August I purchased from Sears a Simmons Beauty rest Mattress, after having some problems with Sears which they addressed, I signed on to Simmons website to register my purchase. As of this day October 13, it has been about six weeks since I registered my purchase and they have yet to acknowledge my purchase. In the meantime, the plastic corners that are on the mattress are falling off, so we are talking about less than six weeks of use (just me) the mattress is already falling apart. So they are not the Simmons I have known for the last thirty years. Their customer service is either lousy, or they do not want you to register the bed in case it does fall apart!
My last mattress be it over twenty years old was more comfortable, and the corners were still intact. Sorry Simmons, you will never ever get another purchase from me, nor would I recommend your mattresses, I might as well have gone to the cheap store close to me and got a brand name even though they have a lousy service record, it could not be any worse than yours.
NORCROSS, GEORGIA -- In August of 2009 my wife and I purchased a new Simmons beauty rest box spring and mattress from "Mattress Unlimited" for $1040.00. One month later the mattress had 2 ea sunken places where my wife and I slept at. We applied to mattress unlimited for a replacement and was approved and they delivered a new mattress after a long wait. And when they arrived (independent installer) they said they could not replace it because part of the law tag had been removed. Makes me think that it may have been going to someone else if they picked it up.
The next week I contacted customer service at Simmons beauty rest in nor cross Ga. and they ask me to send the claim forms to them and I did. And they replied and ask for one additional photo of the type of mattress tag that was on the bed and I did so and they replied and ask for all of the photos of the bed that had the measurements of the depth of sunken places to be in color photos.
At that point I refused to redo all of the warranty claims as I had complied two times correctly. It seems to me that if a company is not going to warranty when all warranty claims have been met on this high price of item that there should not be a warranty implied by the manufacturer or retail store.
My time is valuable to me and my corporation and the days are long and do not have time to keep sending letters and e-mails back and forth for something that should be resolved quickly and by a visit from the retail store if they thought that I was not telling the truth.
