Not the Deal You Think

We have used SkyAuction for several trips.... Number 1, you can find the same or better deals through most websites... primarily because of all the add-ons (4) they and the vendors included in fine print! Seasonal charges, taxes and services fee, administrative fees auction fees, etc... It may look like you're getting a deal but you're not. Plus when you show up at your destination, your travel voucher is given low priority in MOST cases!

Finally, should you have a problem SKYAUCTION will not help. They booked the wrong dates for us and then blamed the airlines for penalty. All this after we told them three time and three days prior to confirmation of airlines tickets they had the wrong dates!! Needless to say this situation is not over....

Purchased a package on Saturday as the winner/highest bidder for the item. Paid for it immediately. Saturday evening passed. All of Sunday passed. I attempted to find a contact number to the customer service to no avail, just a fax number. Monday morning and afternoon passed. Finally, on Monday evening, I get an email that the package I purchased on Saturday WAS SOLD OUT. And, that they could offer me a package to a different play in September.

Never mind that the item was originally for today's performance. And, I won and paid for the item immediately. No compensation was offered. Just a refund or wait until September and see a play that I am not interested in nor did not bid for. Be cautious before your purchase. This was my first and last time using this site. NEVER AGAIN.

Gone Downhill Fast

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- I have purchased over a dozen trips from SkyAuction but my last 2 have been a disaster. They have completely lost it. Among the problems are: (1) Many errors on listing, some tend to misrepresent the trip; (2) They do not honor what they are selling. My last trip was supposed to include transfers but they did not provide them; (3) Customer service is arrogant and tries to stonewall you; (4) errors occurred in reservations and they really don't seem to care. Overall they are no longer worth the hassle to save a few bucks.

Won a cruise through the auction. After submitting all the info. I received an email telling that this cruise is not available? I went directly to the cruise company and booked the cruise directly.

Non Delivery of Winning Bid

I won a "2 Night Stay for 2 at the Paradise Island Harbour Resort" in the Bahamas on June 16, 2007. I have been trying to collect on it since then but no one answers emails, customer service calls, or responds in any format. I can not collect despite repeated phone calls, emails, etc. This auction was part of a Caribbean Hotel Association Charity Auction. I emailed them and they also did not respond.
