I own a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV250. I know its old but it works just fine. I recently purchased a laptop computer with the MS Windows 7 64 bit operating system. Sony does not and will not provide compatible drivers for this operating system.

While looking for the drivers I found that drivers for my model handycam are available for Windows 8.
In in incomprehensible for Sony to just skip the Windows 7 operating system.
I kept losing HDMI on my Sony, phone calls to Sony helped with the usual unplugging of unit and waiting 2 min plugging back it worked again, day later went off again.

Called Sony they sent out a up grade for HDMI, worked for a while went out again, another up grade was sent out, it works however it clicks off the HDMI at any given moment.
Long story short, I hooked up back to components all works well. Sony has a major problem with TV HDMI. But will never admit to it !!
Repair it or Replace it.

I waited for this game for four years since it was announced and finally was able to buy it but once I played it I was in for a rude awakening. The game was terrible it looked like it was thrown together at the last second. I have played Gran turismo since the second one came out and can compare this atrocity to Barney the Dinosaur. Sony get it together make better games not crap like this one.4 Replies - Latest reply on 02/12/2011Add reply
2.5 years old and LCD panel went bad. Sony TV repairman provided estimate of $1020 and mentioned how poorly the Sony lcd's have been performing. Sony provided no resolution even after case went to heightened review. They offered a discount on an inferior model television, but who wants the discount for a lower end model after the elite product fails. Customer service was no help and stuck to their phone script of the product was outside of the warranty. I guess I'm moving onto a company that stands behind their products. Add reply
Bought two brand new NX800's in June and one went bad in November, OK that happens but when the service people came out and took the set they called ans said the mother board went bad and they would replace it and return the set. no problem so far. when they returned the set they plugged it in and got a no signal message so they just said you set it up not our problem. I have no idea if they in fact fixed the set, if it's working or not. when I called to complain all Sony did was keep me on hold for over an hour and then tell me that they where sure the set was fixed and that it was my job to get a picture on it, warranty does not cover anything like setting it up. what a joke you pay over $2,000 for a set and the first problem they run the other way. this will be my last Sony product and I am in the production business and will do everything I can to make sure no one I knows buys Sony.Add reply
My friend, who is a senior citizen, bought an expensive Sony TV for $1,500. It's already broken. Sony refuses to do anything! Don't buy Sony products. They're crap. 2 Replies - Latest reply on 12/06/2011Add reply

We bought a 32" Sony Bravia. This was quite a big spending item for us, because we are like the majority of people who live paycheck to paycheck. Had gone with Sony due to their name. I will never buy Sony again. We have had the TV for maybe 2 yrs and now the picture is messed up. The picture is doubled and discolored. I am now trying to save for another TV and I promise you all that it will not be a Sony.

Shame on you for making such a horrible product. These need to be recalled and reimburse the people that had depended on you for good products.
I purchased a Sony home theater system a month ago brand new in the box from a electronics store. Upon getting it home I realized that it was mising a wireless speaker card. Called Sony the next day (not a 1-800 #) told them of my problem and was told they would ship me the part in 7-10 business days. Two weeks and no part later I contacted Sony again & was told that the order was messed up & I would get the part in 7-10 business days. A week later Sony calls me & tells me that they need a receipt for my purchase or they cannot ship me the part. Upon faxing the receipt to them I asked if they could speed up the shipping since the customer service so far was terrible. I was told they couldn't because they had to order the part. Since my 30 days is up I cannot take this home theater system back to the store. I have many Sony made electronics in my house ranging from home theater systems (2) to the PS3 & PS2 & the PSP. After dealing with Sony this time I will move on to another electronics maker. Sony will never get another dollar from me again Add reply
I want to bring to your notice the horrible customer service provided by your company. I sent a Sony Receiver for repairs on October 6, 2010. It has been almost a month but no body is able to tell me that when I will get it back. The customer service wait time is more than a hour some times and the number they have provided for the Laredo customer service center is ( 956-725-4877) does not even exist. The toll free number has a wait for more than an hour. How will you feel when you are made to wait for an hour on the phone. I am not even worried about the cost of the receiver. I am going to buy a new one any way but the whole incident has brought the real face of Sony in the open. I am not asking you to replace the receiver or expedite the repair. I just want to bring it to your notice the mismanagement in your organization. It is a pity that I cannot even get the postal address of Sony customer service at any website of Sony. I asked several of the customer service agents but they do not have the postal address.
My TV (Sony Bravia) is less than one year and a half old and it already doesn't work. It has no image, no sound. I've called Sony to share my frustration and they told me "We take note of your complaint but we do not offer any feedback". They refused to give me any fax number or email that I could use to document my complaint... 1 Replies - Latest reply on 08/27/2010Add reply
