MIAMI, FLORIDA -- I went on a family cruise on the Sensation, Carnival cruise on April 21,2011, and found a ring on board, my husband bought it, but I did not want to wait 4 to 6 weeks for the ring to be sized. The sales person, stated that there was no problem with me getting it sized outside of their company. I had to come back the night before our cruise was over to receive my certificate of authenticity, for my 2 year warranty. Upon returning home, I went to my local jeweler (w/ almost 40 years of experience), to have my ring sized, at which time I was informed that the setting of my ring was made poorly, and 1 of my stones had already shifted.
So he straightened it when hr sized my ring, when I called the company in regards to the problem, I was informed that the warranty was nulinvoid because I went to an outside jeweler! Also informed me that I should have read the warranty better! I am to blame for being trusting, but I'm not stupid!!! I was shown the letter of authenticity, but never took it back out of the envelope to look on the back of the paper to read the guarantee. How stupid to think sales people are honest, or for that fact even know what they are talking about! I just want my ring fixed properly so I can enjoy wearing it! What ever happened to standing behind your product! Here's my GUARANTEE I cruise 2 times a year, and I will stand outside the jewelery store and warn everyone walking in!
Even though I was misinformed, I will make a SPECIAL EFFORT not to let this happen to anyone I cross paths with. It's a shame businesses can get away with CRAP like this! The only person held accoutable is me for believing a sales pitch, Shame on me!!!
