Mommies coffee break at Starbucks

Finally!! A couple of hours out without the kids. We; myself and my friend, decided to go to Starbucks. We wanted this outing to be special, by treating ourselves to a pastry of sorts with our coffee or tea, "you know the works" Well, as we stepped up to order we notice samples setting out and that two people were in front of us, one a very pretty lady and a man. Well the lady got offered a sample and then after her we notice that the employees where telling each other to take a sample.

While we stood there wanting to order our special treat we totally got turn off, and ignored. Because they wear speaking very loud to one another insisting that each of them take some, not thinking of their customers was very sad to me. We only ordered coffee and a not so great outing. We changed our coffee place to SAXBY's near to my home, their Coffee is great and they have some entertainment. I guess Starbucks see Hospitality as overrated.

Terrible service and coffee

OSHAWA -- I went to a Starbucks coffee shop inside another store. I was my first time in this store in particular, I ordered a cappuccino for 3 dollars, I thought that is expensive but if it is worth it, it is OK. To my disappointment it took a long time to get a cappuccino that was half of the cup and the rest was all foam. So I paid 1.50 for foam, and the quality was not good either. On top of everything they say they are so green, how come they don't use glass cups even when you stay and drink your coffee right there? What kind of green company does that?

I am tired of stupid people saying that is great coffee, please you really never had what a good coffee is. And another terrible thing was how dirty the place was. Carpets stained, garbage full, etc. Totally disgusting.

Poor customer service and very rude employees

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- I ordered double tall no foam caramel macchiato this morning; and then I was standing there and wondering why my drink took long time to make and I was the only person there... so I moved closer to see what's going on and I saw the barista and the cashier girl just standing there and talking so I asked them for the drink since I had to rush and go to work.

Anyway, she made me my drink and I left and when I got to work I realized that she had given me a regular black coffee with milk and caramel syrup instead of what I ordered. I was very pissed. First of all, those employees are very rude and their drink is nasty. I love Starbucks drink but today will be my last day, I'll start going to Tully's instead, and it's just across the street from Starbucks. Hurray! So anyway those stupid thieves can go to hell.

I Will Never Use Them Again

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- I received the 1400.00 coffee machine from Starbucks for Christmas. It was something I wanted for a long time. Coaching from store manager and myself we convinced my husband to purchase it for Christmas. The machine never worked. I tried contacting the Maker of the machine through email and telephone to no avail. Returned the machine to the store on Craig and 95, manager (new one, not the one that helped me convince my husband to purchase it for me) was rude and would not help, husband contact corporate customer service and they told him to give our money back.

Manager put the money on a gift card instead of cash so I could go get something else for a present. I called customer service and they told me they did not even have to give me the gift card that I should deal with the coffee maker itself that they do not take returns and they were doing me a favor. I told customer service they should have a sign out in the store that says we don't take return for product that does not work, you are stuck with it to deal with the maker yourself. I tried to explain to him that I have never purchased product from a store that you could not return and his reply that it is normal.

Starbucks seems a little bipolar in that at times they have great service and then it goes to the other extreme with lousy service. Maybe they need to study McDonalds a little and see how being consistent with your business is your best policy -- the people know what to expect.

Service

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIFORNIA -- When Starbucks first initiated its expansion it stressed service and quality for price. It was also known for providing good pay and benefits to its employees. Because my wife and I believed in those positive service traits of a good business we invested by purchasing a few shares of the company stock. Then Starbucks raised prices on all its drinks, ceased offering free internet connection at the stores, and declined in service to customers through longer wait time for orders, less attention to the cleanliness of the store, and workers not willing to listen to orders and requests of customers.

Most coffee shops in our area offer free internet service and are willing to make coffee at 1/2 the price of Starbucks - It's A Grind in particular and McDonald's are more competitive in their price and service structure. We sincerely hope Starbucks' management will work to deliver better service, value, and product once again to the clientèle it once served more professionally.

Starbucks Promotes Cruelty-to-Animals and Then Lies About It

MT. MORRIS, MICHIGAN -- Starbucks sent me this e-mail: "Starbucks has no affiliations with rodeos. The Cheyenne Frontier Days is a Native American cultural event in Cheyenne, Wyoming that features parades, amusement rides, a rodeo and other activities. As a member of the community, Starbucks showed its support for the event by purchasing at $250 advertisement in a Cheyenne Frontier Days brochure. The ad invited festival attendees to enjoy a Starbucks beverage at our local store before or after the event."

Problem: I then asked them about their sponsorship of the American Royal Rodeo, the Belton Rodeo, etc. They never responded to my question. Starbucks is even listed as a sponsor of a rodeo at http://www.rodeobelton.com/sponsors2004.pdf. They do sponsor rodeos, but they are lying about it. This is obvious, blatant lying and false advertising! More information is available at www.buckstarbucks.com.

LEWISTON, IDAHO -- I thought I would treat myself to a Starbucks coffee yesterday, something warm to drink while I walked my dog. I ordered a Venti Latte, I thought it was light when she handed it me, after I left the drive through I opened it up. It was all foam! I may had 3 oz. of coffee, what a disappointment! I am going back with my cup I saved and let them know. It will be my last visit to a Starbucks!

Starbucks #5733 in Santa Fe manager sneezies into cups
By -

SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO -- Avoid this Starbucks. The manager sneezes into the cup and when asked for a new coffee, she gets angry and says, "I was trained to sneeze right". When I asked her "Please explain to me what sneezing right is?" She told us that she is going to give us $2.50 so we can just "Get out". Incredible! In this current environment of swine flu epidemic, this is absolutely unacceptable.

MIROMAR BEACH, 32550, FLORIDA -- This Starbucks is located in front of the mall where I work and time and time again I choose to give them another chance to get it right. The only reason I continue to try is the location is convenient and I keep hoping for new management. There have been a few occasions where I have asked them to remake it and the manager always has an attitude about it. I order the same drinks at all Starbucks I frequent and this is the only one that can't seem to get it right.

WESTMINSTER, ARIZONA -- The Store #5647 in Westminster needs some serious help in keeping up with other Starbuck Store's around the country. Garbage cans overflowing and floor filthy, workers sitting on their hands. What a bummer for me.
