Amazing Stainless Steel Cleaner / Polish That Really Works
Posted by on
After a recent kitchen upgrade I went with all new stainless steel appliances. They look beautiful but show fingerprints and smudges. Most can be removed with soapy dishwater or Windex. While removing it the shine is now dulled. The front of my dishwasher had water stains which could not be removed by this method. The stove had some grease stains especially around the dials. I tried a variety of stainless steel cleaners & polishes. Either the cleaner didn't work or the polish left streaks. When applying you had to continuously rub and change rags. A lot of effort for marginal results.

While shopping at Home Depot I spotted this new product called "Steel Meister." It's a little pricey, $9.95 for 9.5 ounces. That's almost a dollar an ounce. You need very little of this product, it goes a long way. I was astonished with the results. It instantly removed the grease, smudges and grime with one stroke. A microscopic coating absorbs into the surface and prevents their return. It left a brilliant shine. This product also works on all metal, copper, chrome and fiberglass surfaces. If you have stainless steel appliances this is a must try.

You have a knack for finding great products! I'm still amazed by the results of Bar Keepers Helper.

I don't have stainless appliances but will certainly keep this in mind. It sounds like the perfect product for stainless steel.

I hope your wife appreciates that you care about the kitchen. No offense guys, but a lot men couldn't care less.

I'm wondering how this will work for cooking pots and pans? I have some that have grease stains and the like especially on large frying pans. Yes, they are clean but if you scrub too harshly the shine in that area will finally disappear. Have you had any experience on something like that using the recommended product? I don't mind some extra elbow grease if the end result is it looks like new.

Awesome review!

As you say, it sounds pricey but it wouldn't be unless you are pouring it on. 1 ounce would clean a fair amount of nominal grease away in the home.

Keep in mind that this product is not a degreaser for really heavy tough baked on stains. There are other products that address this. What this product does extremely well is clean normal dirt, light grease and hard water stains with minimal effort. It leaves a high gloss shine that will protect the finish.

You caught me Venice. I am somewhat of a clean freak (not anal) who really likes a clean house. I do all of the food shopping, cooking and laundry. I do not view this as the "woman's job." A marriage is an equal partnership where both have to contribute. So far this is working well for me.
