CORAL SPRINGS, FLORIDA -- I was ripped off on a cell phone by this boost mobile contractor store located in a plaza. Tried to return phone ten minutes later and they refused. Owner lied, mislead me on the product and overcharged me. He cursed me out in front of my son and it was just horrible customer service. I didn’t stoop to his level, just wanted my money back. After all, the phone didn’t have the features he said it did. Still refused to do anything but yell and cursed constantly. I don’t want the same thing to happen to you. Email, for details.

GEORGIA -- Talk America did some upgrades in our area which killed our Caller ID. We were forewarned but they were unable to restore it. After 5 weeks of numerous phone calls, the same "suggestions" for us to try over and over, and sending a worker to our house (where it was determined the trouble was not at location), and continuing to pay for the feature while doing without, we changed providers. Talk America thereafter attempted to collect on service AFTER our account was switched over, and representative who called us about it was extremely rude and actually stupid (failure to understand their own practice of billing ahead for monthly service). Problem with charges we did not owe was ultimately "silently" resolved and we received no apology for any of the trouble.

SOUTH CAROLINA -- Has anyone else seen the "TSR administration fee" increase from zero 2 years ago, to $1.95 one year ago, to $9.95 this month? That is a 500% increase this year! Well, I have and it seems the fee may not be what is implied by the name. All of this fee may not have been those authorized by the state. I believe that TalkAmerica is really increasing the monthly fee and disguising it with this term. BEWARE. Add reply
I'm sorry a prior reviewer had a bad experience with TALK AMERICA. I have had very good luck with this company. They've always been informative and pleasant. Perhaps, I asked all the right questions before I accepted them as my long distance carrier. Honestly, I prefer almost anyone to BellSouth, let me tell you.
