BOGART, GEORGIA -- Terminix came out two weeks ago to do our pest control. We have a quarterly service and it's set up that they automatically come out. They call about two or three days before they're gonna be here. The technicians do the outside of my house and sometimes I'm not even in contact with them, but they're always very nice and friendly. They've always done a good job and I have not seen any pest since having their service.
ALTOONA, PENNSYLVANIA -- I had Terminix with my previous home and we got their service again when we moved. The tech is friendly and really knowledgeable about what to do. He comes every three months to spray and comes back if I have an issue in between. We were having an ant issue the last time he was here and we still have some ant issues now, but I can call the tech to come back and spray.
DULUTH, GEORGIA -- Terminix performs an annual termite inspection for us. They call me and let me know when they'll be in town. The technician was nice, good, helpful, and didn't mind me tagging along while he did the inspection. He also peeked in our attic while he was there and told us how Terminix also provides insulation. He tried to upsell me on mosquito control but we're okay with that. We haven't had any pest activity since we've been receiving Terminix services and it was a good experience overall.
MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE -- The first time Terminix came out was for preventative purposes, but we've told them that I have ants. They put granules down outside. They had to come back today and they sprayed liquid spray. He said we should not see any more ants. However, it's too expensive so I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with it or not.
BOGART, GEORGIA -- Terminix treated the house a few years ago. Now, we're under an annual contract for termites so they come out to do an inspection once a year. I can always count on them to call us if it's time for the inspection and they come. They're very professional so it's a very satisfactory experience for us.
ABILENE, TEXAS -- I am from Brownwood, Texas and was recently dumped by Terminix. I don't know what kind of Pest Control Oath these folks are referring to but my contract was cancelled because they didn't want to find a solution to a couple of problems that I was having.
The first problem was with a guy named Juan and his boss George. Juan was the service tech and the first time we met him asked for some large black rat glue traps and was told the company doesn't carry them anymore. After that service techs were coming from all around our area and would give us the large black rat glue traps when I asked for them.
Didn't have any major problem until Juan comes back and again no rat traps. Another problem was when Juan was scheduled to stop by, we got a bill but started realizing that no one was going around the house and no one knocked on the front door to ask if we would like the inside dusted.
Finally, Juan called George and let me talk to him using his personal cell since I could never reach him by calling the office and leaving messages for him to call. George told me that In needed to get another service Terminix had to get rid of rats. I told him those large black rat glue traps were all we needed. I thought George was rude but after calling Regional Terminix and Terminix Headquarters and leaving message I get a call from the General Manager, his name is Mike.
Before I write about Mike's call a little more background. Every other service tech asked us if they need to come inside to dust for bugs and as long as they would spray outside we really didn't have a bug problem. The only time a tech would usually make a return trip was if I had asked for the large black glue traps then they would drop them by, if they were in the area.
One of the last times I saw Juan he told me that he could bring some small mice glue traps and I agreed just to see if they would work. I did not expect on this invoice to have area checked he put down kitchen and he also added that he observed rat activity. Well, he never came into my home.
Once again I make the calls to regional and headquarters to tell them that we don't trust Juan and don't want him anywhere near our house. We were told that that would not be a problem and lo and behold a few days before our service appointment Juan calls to tell me that he's our tech and we'll see him soon.
Then again, I called around because these folks take a message but nothing gets done. I'm told by both Regional and Corporate that getting another tech would probably not be a problem. But, it was a problem with Mike. Mike calls me to tell me "I ain't gonna do it! I ain't gonna do it. Not now, not ever am I sending another tech. Juan is the closest tech and he's all I'm ever going to send for your service!"
A few weeks later I receive the cancellation notice. Since then I've called Terminix regional and Corporate to see if we can continue our service but haven't heard nothing but crickets. It's like they don't care about a customer of 7 years. It seems like loyalty means nothing to this company and customers less than that. It's not that there aren't other pest control companies out there but to just discard a customer just because you don't want to deal with them and provide satisfactory service is just not acceptable!
GREENSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA -- I have two accounts with Terminix. One is for my son's home and the other one is for our home. They recently came and did my pest control. The technician was on time and very courteous. He came through the house, and sprayed through and around the house.
I look on my web page and it will say when our service is to be scheduled. There was a time when they scheduled an appointment for me at the first of the month, but I thought that was awful early because the tech always comes about the same time of the month when he's due. So, I know that he'll be here within the time period between the 15th and the 20th.
Nevertheless, I stayed here and waited. I got a call from the tech, but it was another gentleman that was supposed to show up, not the guy that usually comes out here, and this other tech left the phone number for me to call. But then, I needed the code or password to get into it.
Other than that, however, there's never been a problem with the scheduling of our service. I usually know when the tech is coming. Since our service with Terminix, I don't have any problems at all with pests. They're taking care of my pest problems and they've been good.
BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA -- Scheduling a service is not very good. Terminix will send messages out but they don't coordinate with the person who was supposed to do the work. It happened seven times. They sent out messages saying that the person was supposed to come and I waited around and no one showed up. So, I worked the issue out with the guy who normally comes to our house. He lets me know when he's coming. He is very good, thorough, and competent.
I don't trust the other people that Terminix sent out. One guy was supposed to check some ants or termites in one area, but he didn't do anything and wrote up as if he did the whole termite inspection. He didn't even get down on his hands and knees to look at the termites. So, Terminix sent me a notice that they've done their annual termite inspection and I went ballistic when they hadn't. Terminix is not as good in handling things.
They then sent out the regular person when it was the right time to come do the inspection and he checked everything out so I trust him. I haven't had problems with the carpenter ants and anything with the termites outside.
