Excellent Service and Quality Furniture

LOMBARD, ILLINOIS -- I was looking for a real wood dining room table. NOT plywood or laminate over particle board. The tables and dining chairs at the dump were exactly what I was looking for. REAL MAPLE ALL MAPLE, not bits and pieces of the table or chairs!!! I had searched other furniture stores and found particle board for the same price. Also my table has an amazing leaf that drops down into the table, self storage at its best. The staff was very helpful and not overbearing considering they work on commission.

If you are looking for cheaply made furniture do not shop here. I will not bash other stores but those who know quality furniture know what I am talking about. They also have an amazing program. (I had to pay a small fee that I will get BACK in a store credit if I do not use.) If something happens to my table I can get it repaired or replaced within 5 years. My friends and family are actually considering giving their 4-5 year old tables away to purchase what I now have. Thank you the Dump!!!

ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- For the past 2 months I have been working with customer service, ** to be exact. I purchased a new sofa from the Atlanta store. Upon having it for 2 months the cushions began to "pill up" and get lumpy. No one would come out and look at the sofa. I was then asked to provide pictures... then was told that the manufacturer would "replace the covers". However, I was made to pay shipping.

I have now been waiting for over 3 weeks. I am very dissatisfied with the "Customer Service" agent. Not only was she rude, unprofessional, and would not return my calls. I will never buy anything from The Dump again. They do not stand behind their products. All I wanted was my sofa replaced in a timely matter. But was told that was not their policy. Buy at Your Own Risk!

HAMPTON, VIRGINIA -- I just received delivery of my new bed and I am very dissatisfied with the way the delivery men set up the bed. They were very rough with the handling of the metal parts of the bed on my hardwood floor. I could hear them slamming stuff around on the floor because they were in such a hurry to get out. I understand them having to deliver within time constraints but extra care needs to be taken with hardwood floors.

We signed for the delivery but when we went in to apply sliders to the metal legs of the frame I noticed three scratches on the floor and a huge gash. I expect better care to be taken when paying to have store delivery having to redo a hardwood floor is very costly. I was satisfied with my purchase and store experience but completely unsatisfied with the delivery and would not recommend it to anyone.

Worst Furniture Experience EVER

IRVING, TEXAS -- We bought a new home and new furniture for our bedroom from The Dump. Parts were missing for the dresser/mirror to put it together. I am going on two months now and still no parts, no help from the sales person, no help from the store where I purchased it and no help from customer service. I know why they call it The Dump... It's because you get DUMPED on when trying to do anything with this company.

The sales guy said, "It's not my problem." Customer service said, "Let us look into it and call you back." We can't get a call back to save our lives. This is the worst furniture store experience I have ever had. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE DUMP TO ANYONE. I DON'T RECOMMEND THEIR PRICES, THEIR SALES PEOPLE AND ESPECIALLY THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Worst Furniture Buy from The Dump

LOMBARD, ILLINOIS -- I bought the furniture for my new house from The Dump stores in Deerfield, IL and Lombard, IL. The products from The Dump were advertised as a superior quality luxury products. Because I was investing a good amount of money on the furniture for my new house and I wanted peace of mind, I bought extra 5-year service plan as well, so I can keep getting the service and support. One of the sectionals in my family room developed sagging and discoloration within first 6 months of the usage. When I complained to the customer care, they asked for pictures that I sent within few hours. After that my nightmare started, the customer care team has stopped responding to my follow-up emails and after many follow-ups, they sent the technician after one and half months of opening the complaint, the technician didn't address any of my complains and rejects the warranty saying that the discoloration is not a manufacturing defect and the sagging is normal. The discoloration is definitely a manufacturing defect as the the discoloration is not uniform and it is just one panel of the section that is changed to white color. The customer care has been the worst experience and my repeated requests for a supervisor connect has been denied. I regret buying the expensive furniture from The Dump which is essentially double the price of similar products from stores like Ashley or other manufacturers, but the quality of the furniture is not as good as they advertise, and the store is not willing to honor the warranty or service plan. Now I don't have confidence in the products and it appears that I have wasted my money on buying an extended service plan for those products.

NO Mattress Warranty - Beware!!

IRVING, TEXAS -- I purchased an Aireloom Mattress from The Dump several years ago and still have the receipt. I was told at the time of purchase the mattress would be under warranty for 10 years. We are well within that time frame but our mattress has started to sink and there is a huge hump in the middle. This should be a covered warranty item. The Dump customer service says they do not warranty the mattress - you have to call the manufacturer. The Manufacturer states that retailer has to start the warranty process - so guess what... I out of luck and now need to spend another $3K to purchase a new mattress!!! I will never return to THE DUMP... says it all in the name!

Horrible Buying Experience

HOUSTON, TEXAS -- Didn't think it could get any worse... then it did. My earlier review details how I never received $10,000 worth of furniture that was bought and paid for 11/24/17 with an expected delivery date of 12/23/2017 until 5/15/2018... AND IT WAS DAMAGED!!!

The crack team at the Houston store promised a technician would be at my house on 5/17/2018 to resolve the damage issues. Guess what??? Another no show!!! Oh and the free TV I was promised... never received it either. The Store Manager is a weasel who repeatedly offers to take every thing back just to get rid of me. The customer service people share his arrogance. I WOULD NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THESE CLOWNS AGAIN EVEN IF IT WAS FREE!!! (they wouldn't deliver it anyway)

IRVING, TEXAS -- I purchased two sofa sets. Upon delivery they were marked and damaged. The repair tech said he could not repair it. This was 8 months ago and I am still fighting to get the delivery fee reversed on my bank card. The salesman I am working with never follows up with a phone call as he promises. Nobody ever calls. They continue to ask me to “wait for our business manager to get a reply from your bank”. Well, this has been going on since Nov 1 and now it's May 12, still asking me to wait. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

KING OF PRUSSIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- Ordered table with 6 chairs with delivery. This is fifth time when delivery did not happen. First time they brought damaged table - refused. Second time they brought repaired table, but it was even more damaged - refused. Third time they brought table, but missing parts - took the legs, but still waiting for top. Fourth time they simply did not come - was waiting half a day at home. Fifth time they brought - yes, instead of top, they brought more table legs... Every time I had to come to the store to schedule another deliver - you cannot call them.

Delivery of Furniture Was a Nightmare

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- My 2 pieces were suppose to be delivered on a Friday. They only delivered the loveseat. They said the couch was lost. Late Friday night they found the couch and said it would be delivered on Sunday but they call Saturday and said they were 15 minutes away. It was a good thing someone was home. When they got there they tried once to get the couch in the door and said it would not go into the house. They said they were going to leave it in the middle of the yard during a snowstorm.

Finally I had them put it in the garage. A friend came over and the couch went right in. The delivery people did not even try. This is the worse company I have ever dealt with and I am so sorry I went there and bought anything. No one will return my calls or address my problem. Plus when I got the couch in the one set on legs will not touch the floor, I had to put something under it. No response when I called to get it fixed. Do Not Go There!!!
